Invoking The 25th Amendment Is Constitutional — And Democrats’ Best Hope

The Democrats’ public struggle session over what to do with the problem of Joe Biden must end. They know, we know, and, most terrifyingly, America’s enemies know that our commander-in-chief is mentally incompetent. As such, the answer is clear, and the Constitution provides it: Joe Biden must be removed from office and the vice president sworn in as president.

The Conspiracy of Silence to Protect Joe Biden

The president’s mental decline was like a dark family secret for many elite supporters.

President Joe Biden walked before a row of flags and took his place at a lectern stamped with the presidential seal. A few feet in front of him, thin panes of teleprompter glass, programmed with prewritten remarks, were positioned to meet his stare as he spoke into a microphone that would carry his voice through a soundsystem. His White House press secretary looked on. So did several senior White House officials. Anxiety clung to the humid summer air. What the president was about to say might determine the future of his presidency and perhaps the Republic itself.

Yet this was not to be some grand pronouncement about war or peace or a shift in domestic policy. He was not delivering an official address or even a rally speech. He was not onstage in a stadium or auditorium or perched on a platform in a gilded government or hotel ballroom. He was not speaking to a crowd of thousands or even hundreds. There would be no video of his statement carried live to the world. There would be no photos. And there would be no published audio.

Did you ever watch the debate afterward… “I don’t think I did no”

He’s incoherent again in the Stephanopoulos interview.

The History of Democrats Hiding Presidential Disabilities

So much for the “public’s right to know.”

According to journalist Carl Bernstein, several people “very close” to President Biden have related that the president has had 15-to-20 episodes of cognitive decline — similar to what happened during the presidential debate the other evening — during the past year and a half. Bernstein told CNN that these Biden supporters said, “There have been numerous instances where the president has lost his train of thought, can’t pick it up again.” The New York Post editorialized that Democrats and their “media enablers” have attempted to hide Biden’s cognitive decline. The Daily Mail reports that “current and former aides” to the president are saying that Biden’s cognitive decline has been known for months. National Review calls the “cover-up of Biden’s mental decline” a scandal. And recall that the special counsel’s report about the mishandling of classified documents by the president described Biden’s memory as “hazy,” “fuzzy,” “faulty,” and “poor.” Axios reports that top aides to the president have “carefully shielded him from people inside and outside the White House since the beginning of his presidency,” noting that first Lady Jill Biden was especially “protective” of the president. Fox News reports that there is growing anger among some Democrats at Jill Biden and White House staffers who they claim have “concealed” the president’s mental decline.

Biden says he’s ‘first black woman to serve with a black president’ in latest gaffe

President Biden described himself as the “first black woman to serve with a black president” as he yet again twisted his words, his latest gaffe as he scrambles to reassure voters he’s still fit to lead.

The 81-year-old president made the slip up as he struggled to find the right phrasing while being interviewed Thursday on Philadelphia’s WURD black radio station as part of an Independence Day media blitz a week on from his train-wreck debate performance.

Major Democratic Donors Devise Plans to Pressure Biden to Step Aside

After several days of quiet griping and hoping that President Biden would abandon his re-election campaign on his own, many wealthy Democratic donors are trying to take matters into their own hands.

Wielding their fortunes as both carrot and stick, donors have undertaken a number of initiatives to pressure Mr. Biden to step down from the top of the ticket and help lay the groundwork for an alternate candidate.

The efforts — some coordinated, some conflicting and others still nascent — expose a remarkable and growing rift between the party’s contributor class and its standard-bearer that could have an impact on down-ballot races, whether or not the donors influence Mr. Biden’s decision.

Biden tells Dem governors he needs more sleep, no events after 8 p.m.

President Biden told a gathering of nearly two dozen Democratic governors at the White House Wednesday night that he needs to get more sleep and work fewer hours — and even avoid events held after 8 p.m. — despite previous reports he can only fully handle the job between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The 81-year-old’s acknowledgment was reported by the New York Times, citing two people who took part in the high-stakes meeting and others who were briefed on the comment.

Biden’s classmates barely recognise him in ‘shocking’ debate

Joe Biden’s old classmate barely recognised his friend at the presidential debate. Staring gormlessly into the camera and struggling to finish his sentences, it was not the razor-sharp orator Robert Markel had come to admire over the years.

“I don’t know that Joe Biden. There must have been some reason for it, but I’d never encountered that Joe before,” said Markel, a friend of Biden since their days at the private Catholic school Archmere Academy in Delaware.

Netflix Co-Founder, Major Hollywood Voices Urge Biden to Step Aside

Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings on Wednesday joined a growing number of Democratic supporters in Hollywood publicly calling on President Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race following his debate performance last week.

“Biden needs to step aside to allow a vigorous Democratic leader to beat Trump and keep us safe and prosperous,” he wrote in an email to the New York Times. Hastings is one of the biggest Democratic donors to make such a statement, having contributed more than $20 million to the party alongside his wife, Patty Quillin, over the years. The couple first started donating during the Trump administration.

It is criminal to allow Biden to remain in the race.

How ‘just stop Trump’ blinded US media to Biden’s obvious frailty

The story of how liberal-leaning reporters turned from enablers to critics of this administration is a tragedy of politics and ethics

The US media has finally turned on Joe Biden. Conservative outlets always disliked him, of course, but liberal-leaning journalists have provided cover for years – hitting Trump, praising Biden and downplaying the president’s physical decline.

But at the June 27 debate, the evidence became irrefutable. Biden, mumbling and confused, looked like a man who’d spotted a light and was tempted to walk towards it. The Washington Post called his performance “ninety minutes of pain”. The New York Times concluded, “To serve his country, President Biden should leave the race.”

The Democrats’ civil war has begun

The unholy alliance of oligarchs and identitarians is about to come apart.

Let the great Democratic civil war begin. The impending demise of Joe Biden and the patched-together coalition he represents is threatening to accelerate the very intra-party conflicts his presidency was meant to assuage.

In 2020, Biden was able to cobble together the remains of the old Rooseveltian New Deal coalition, along with huge support from both the oligarchic elite and the progressive left. This was possible in large part because the repellant Donald Trump alienated not only the left, including the rising Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), but also dominant elites and numerically strong moderate liberals.

Kamala v. Jill: The Ugly Catfight Ahead

Dr. Jill is politically smarter than Hillary or Michelle ever were.

It is painfully clear what evil lurks ahead if Americans foolishly fail to elect Donald Trump as our 47th president.

On one hand, by now it should be a shoo-in for President Trump 45 to “Do the Grover” and notch 47, too. If serious national polls show him ahead of Biden by 3 to 7 points, recall that two exceptionally populous blue states, New York and California, provide lopsided numbers for Biden. In a process that is based on the Electoral College, Trump’s standing today therefore is even stronger than the numbers suggest. However, Americans include as many foolish voters as perspicacious ones, and nothing ever is certain.

What Obama Really Thinks About Biden Since the Debate

Publicly, Barack Obama, like most Democrats, has publicly expressed support for Joe Biden since the debate last week, but privately, it is a different story. According to a new report, Obama has privately expressed serious concerns about Joe Biden’s debate performance, which he believes is jeopardizing the Democrats’ chances of preventing Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

Time’s up for Joe Biden

In the months leading up to last week’s watershed presidential debate, the White House angrily pushed back against any suggestion that Joe Biden’s declining cognitive fitness was interfering with his ability to perform the toughest and most important job in the world.

In March, when the special counsel investigating Mr. Biden’s handling of classified documents after he stepped down as vice-president described him as “an elderly man with a poor memory,” Democrats circled the wagons and attacked the messenger. The special counsel, they countered, was a registered Republican.
