Canada needs better security checks for international students, critics say

International students are not required to get police certificates from law enforcement in their home countries before coming to Canada — something critics say needs to change.

People applying for permanent residency, citizenship or International Experience Canada (commonly known as the working holiday visa) are required to produce such police certificates, which give Canadian officials early warning of an applicant’s possible criminal history in their country of origin.

But Canadian visa officers don’t necessarily have access to police-drafted documents when deciding whether to admit an international student.

How bout no international students for a good long while.

WTF? UK council terrorism prevention video is thinly veiled hate

Not sure how long this may last on Twitter.

It is evidently a UK council extremism prevention training video.

As we all know questioning mass immigration and wishing to protect your heritage and values is the very definition of Terrorism!

It was part of the uploader’s reeducation class.

Premier François Legault says Trudeau should use force to dump 50% of Quebec’ asylum seekers in other Provinces

Premier François Legault says the federal government should force asylum seekers arriving in Quebec to move to other provinces, including people who have already settled in the province.

Legault said during a trip to Paris on Wednesday that he wants half of the asylum seekers currently in Quebec to be transferred elsewhere in the country.

The premier says it doesn’t make sense that Quebec receives about 45 percent of would-be refugees in Canada, despite accounting for only 22 percent of the population.

Trudeau’s Canada: Affordable rent out of reach for Canadian minimum wage earners nearly everywhere, report finds

Finding an affordable apartment to rent in most of Canada’s larger cities is nearly impossible for people earning minimum wage, a new report from the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) says.

Only 22 neighbourhoods out of nearly 800 in larger Canadian cities have average rents for two-bedroom apartments that would be affordable for someone earning minimum wage, the report says. The situation has grown worse since the CCPA’s first study of the issue in 2019.

Residents in some of Canada’s biggest cities want Canada back

Immigration hitting sour note in Canada’s biggest cities

Residents in some of Canada’s biggest cities want the Trudeau government to clamp down on immigration. A poll conducted by Maru Public Opinion for CityNews finds that a strong majority either wants immigration stopped for the foreseeable future or to have numbers reduced for the next two years.

Britain’s (And Canada’s) Mass Immigration Scam – Not only does it make fools of all those who call Britain home, it makes all-out civil war inevitable.

Britain is floundering, there’s no getting away from it. As to why, you could write an encyclopedia on the subject: The critical absence of conservatism since Thatcher, to the extent that a third of the electorate mistook Keir Starmer for a viable political option outside of North Korea; insane virtue signals like Net Zero, which sees Britain playing “Save the Planet” while the rest of the world wisely gives Greta the finger, and laughs all the way to the bank; an Exchequer bankrupt to the tune of 3 trillion quid, while the Chancellor dithers over rounding errors like the Winter Fuel Allowance.

What do you see here?

I see the hands of foreign interference at work.

I also see the inevitable result of identity politics and a deliberately destructive immigration policy.

Canada is being reduced to warring factions within a balkanized society where foreign tribes have been encouraged to import their ethnic and religious conflicts.

Multiculturalism and diversity has taught them to reject integration with Canadian society.

Each tribe is provided official government victim status and encouraged to commit violence to assert that claim.

One tribe is never allowed to speak out though.

Canada and Canadians be damned is the motto of our ruling class.

Birth tourism families could reap ‘never ending chain’ of Canadian citizenship abroad: critics

Proposed changes to the Citizenship Act have prompted concerns of a “never-ending chain of citizenship” for Canadians choosing to live abroad, including for the children of so-called birth tourists.

Bill C-71 is a proposed amendment to the Act that intends to allow Canadian citizenship to be continuously passed down by citizens who were born abroad to their children who are also born abroad, as opposed to the current first-generation limit.

What if our housing crisis can’t be fixed?

It’s a puzzle. Whatever its answer, its consequences are likely to foment an upheaval in Canada that the coming defeat of Justin Trudeau’s Liberals and the election of a Conservative government should not be expected to forestall.

The puzzle, by the reckoning of urban planner, landscape architect, author and University of British Columbia professor Patrick Condon, can be put this way.

Statistics Canada data shows immigration remains out of control

More than 250,000 people were added to Canada’s population between April 1 and July 1 of this year. It’s another massive increase at a time when the country simply can’t handle this kind of rapid growth.

The latest Statistics Canada report on population showed that between July 1, 2023, and July 1, 2024, we recorded a 3% increase in population – more than 1.2 million.

Father-and-son immigrants wanting to stay in Canada rob man in Lively

A father and son from Romania who both applied for refugee status in Canada in early May, but robbed a Lively man in June, have been given the equivalent of five-month jail sentences.

“Gentlemen: your conduct is reprehensible,” Ontario Court Justice Julie Lefebvre told Nicolae Curca, 63, and Laurentiu Vaduva, 37, as she issued identical sentences of one day in jail on Tuesday.

The Crown and defence lawyers suggested the sentences, which take into account their pre-trial custody time.

Oh My! They face possible immigration consequences!

Scammers: Nearly 13K international students applied for asylum this year, data shows

Nearly 13,000 international students have applied for asylum in Canada in the first eight months of the year, data from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada shows.

Between Jan. 1 and Aug. 31, a total of 119,835 refugee claims were made in Canada. Of these, 12,915 were claimants who were on either study permits (11,605) or study permit extensions (1,310), the department data said.

Trudeau is intent of destroying Canada.

SHORTAGE OF SHITTY SERVICE EXPECTED! … Restaurants Canada predicting severe consequences if unable to import cheap foreign labour

I’ll be fine with a few less Tim Horton’s blighting the land.

The federal government’s latest changes to the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) Program take effect on Thursday.

While the government insists the alterations are designed to reduce Canadian employers’ reliance on the program to fill vacancies, Restaurants Canada is predicting severe consequences.

The agency says there are currently 73,000 openings in the industry, with positions in rural, remote, and tourist regions the hardest to fill.

If restaurants suffer from such razor thin margins why do people keep opening them?

And why should we diminish everyone’s quality of life by importing hordes of cheap labour to support what is obviously a crappy business model.

I have had need to contract a service recently & the sales rep plugged me into a “trusted” providers system.

Having to contact them myself as time was short a heavily accented script reader tried to sell me a service I did not need and this was after lying about having left a message for me.

If your call centre is located in 3rdWorldIstan I hang up.

I found a local provider who actually speaks English.
