Parent Groups Concerned Over Ontario ‘Gender Affirming Health Care’ Bill

Four NDP MPPs have introduced a bill seeking to expand the availability of “gender-affirming health care” in Ontario. It would mandate the creation of an advisory committee including representatives of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) to advise the health minister on how to proceed.

The bill, Gender Affirming Health Care Advisory Committee Act, had its first reading on Nov. 16. Since then, two parent groups have responded with concern—one with a Dec. 5 letter to the legislature criticizing the bill and another with a petition against it.

Guelph drag queen sees all-ages shows targeted by social media campaigns

A Guelph drag queen says their shows are being targeted by two Ontario-based social media campaigns, resulting in the cancellation of one event and the performer feeling uneasy about an upcoming show.

Last month, Crystal Quartz had a drag brunch organized at Kelseys Original Roadhouse in Burlington. But following threats made to the restaurant, management was forced to cancel, the restaurant confirmed to CBC Kitchener-Waterloo. Restaurant management couldn’t disclose information about these threats due to an ongoing police investigation.

The CBC does not deserve tax payer funding as it in no way represents Canadian culture and values. Where in it’s mandate does it say “Pimp for Drag Queens?”

PS. I note this article makes no reference to CAHN the  so called “anti-hate” group found to be in support of the violent  Antifa organization in a recent court ruling. CAHN had previously been the CBC’s go-to community advocate for men who dress as women.

The teacher, who goes by Flint and uses they/them pronouns, recently posted a video in which they opened a box of new Pride flags while discussing their queer-centric library, which they say has helped students who are ‘figuring out who they are.’

Ottawa-based company Shopify is resisting calls to cut ties with the controversial site accused of being anti-LGBTQ2 and known as “Libs of TikTok,” which sells merchandise on the e-commerce platform plastered with allegations of “grooming” of children.

The products use the words “Stop grooming our kids,” an allegation that the Anti-Defamation League says has increasingly been deployed over the past year by some on the far right without evidence against members of the LGBTQ2 community; in particular, those who do drag.

A gender imbalance emerges among trans teens seeking treatment

Adolescents assigned female at birth account for a significant majority of minors receiving gender-affirming care, including top surgery, fueling debate about the influence of peer groups and social media.

Ayear after moving to Bridge City, Texas, 8-year-old Samuel Kulovitz thought his life couldn’t get any worse. He had made no friends in the swampy oil refinery town and spent most of his time in his family’s mobile home. He missed Florida and playing on the beach there with other children.

But life did get worse. He hit puberty. For Kulovitz, who was assigned female at birth, “growing into being a young woman horrified me,” he said. “I kept crying and crying, and I didn’t know why I didn’t like it.”

Then, at age 11, Kulovitz started venturing onto social media. There, he came across a cosplayer on Tumblr who said he realized he was a transgender boy from the euphoria he felt while dressed as the hero of an online comic. Kulovitz was transfixed. “I kept asking myself, ‘Why do you want to look like him?’” he told Reuters. In the online community where Kulovitz spent more and more time, he adopted the pronouns “he” and “him,” and he liked it.

Halton school board has the power to ban trans teacher’s outfit, it’s just too scared to use it

… Recently the Halton District School Board has pronounced that it is legally unable to impose a dress code on Lemieux, thereby becoming an international laughing stock. The suggestion is so stupid and contrary to the law that we wonder what motivated it. However, the pronouncement has cowed parents who had been agitating for the board to stop her teaching their children in that attire.
