America’s deep political divisions are splitting offices along TDS lines

Maga is tearing America’s offices apart

When a 29-year-old American woman was told by her closest colleague at work that he was off to vote “with my Maga hat and my big old flag”, she initially thought it was a joke.

“We’ve gone out with our other coworkers for happy hour, I invited him to my wedding next year, he confided in me about his mother’s health and overall we’ve built a great rapport. So I thought we saw eye-to-eye on everything,” she wrote on an internet forum.

Once she realised he was serious, she wasn’t sure how to continue the working relationship.

I think that woman needs psychiatric leave.

New York Times Claims Trump Wants Maoist ‘Cultural Revolution’

Is the second Trump Administration turning America into Maoist China? That was the New York Times’ assessment in “Many Chinese See a Cultural Revolution in America,” to judge from a piece by Li Yuan that appeared in the paper’s March 10 edition. Yuan made the very serious, if content-free, assertion that the President Donald Trump shares many parallels with China’s Communist revolutionary dictator Mao Zedong, who killed tens of millions of his own people. Apparently, she failed to notice, if that were the case, what a limb she would have been going out on to even write such an article in the regime of such a despot.

Trump buys a Tesla to support Elon Musk after share price crash

President Trump turned the White House lawn into a Tesla showroom and picked out a car for himself in a gesture of support for Elon Musk after protests against his car company and the collapse of its share price.

Trump admired a row of five electric vehicles on Tuesday afternoon while holding a handwritten list of prices. After careful examination, he announced he would purchase the cherry red Model S.

Trump used the display to condemn recent protest attacks on Tesla dealerships, saying such acts would be treated as “domestic terrorism”. “You do it to Tesla and you do it to any company, we’re going to catch you and you’re going to go through hell,” he said.

French (Government-Owned!) Media: ‘How Could You Not’ Compare Trump to Hitler?

France 24 is a state-owned, taxpayer-funded TV news station that broadcasts French propaganda. That’s its explicit, intended purpose: In the leadup to its 2006 launch, then-President Jacques Chirac proclaimed, “We must have the ambition of a big, round-the-clock news channel in French, equal to the BBC or CNN for the English-speaking world. It is essential for the influence of our country.”

Whoopi Shouts Down Criticism of Dems, Behar Fears Justice Hand Shake

President Trump’s address to the Joint Session of Congress apparently went so well that the set of ABC News’s The View became a copium den during Wednesday’s episode. So desperate were they to find fault with Trump’s speech that Joy Behar stoked fear of Trump shaking hands with members of the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, moderator Whoopi Goldberg shouted down the one ounce of criticism lobbed at Democrats for their antics.

The death rattle of ‘the Resistance’

The Democratic ‘revolt’ against Trump’s Congress speech was next-level cringe.

Remember when the phrase ‘the Resistance’ would conjure up visions of sexy French youths in berets battling actual Nazis? Now all it brings to mind is ageing dullards in pink suits holding up signs saying ‘This is not normal’ while sporting the most turbo-smug look on their faces. As US president Donald Trump spoke to a joint session of Congress last night, ‘across the aisle the Resistance was stirring’, gushed the Guardian’s DC reporter. His piece was illustrated with a pic of some congresswoman in pearls and a balding Democrat looking aghast as Trump talked. Seriously, if this is ‘the Resistance’, the world’s tyrants can rest easy

Why we should fear the ‘Gulf of America’

Every day, the madcap president of the United States does things to remind us that he’s an unhinged tornado of malice. In that maelstrom of abusive behaviour, it’s difficult to be outraged about any one thing for very long, because a new atrocity pops up to grab our attention (say, tariffs).

He’s like a wildfire tearing through a forest and we find it impossible to worry about each individual tree he destroys. But I hope you keep your eye on one particular fight MAGA-man has picked because it strikes at the heart of what his government is doing to democracy.

Donald Trump covered himself in disgrace and covered America in ignominy in Ukraine meeting

The worm is turning on President Donald Trump. The world is turning on President Donald Trump.

While there might not yet be riots in the streets of America — the MAGA manifestation of insurrection — protesters disrupting Vice President JD Vance’s ski vacation in Sugarbush, Vermont, is a nice start. A nation may have finally and irreversibly had its eyes popped wide open to the existential threat of the fascists who would be king and princeling.

On her way out the door, fired MSNBC host Joy Reid trashed Donald Trump for delivering “fascism” to America. She also attacked Elon Musk for bringing “apartheid” politics to the United States.

So, That’s Why We Know So Little About Trump’s Assassin

The observation was well-warranted: We know more about Luigi Mangione, the alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO killer, than we do about Thomas Matthew Crooks, who tried to assassinate President Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, last July. Crooks was shot and killed during the attempt, but not after a slew of security breaches and all-around ineptitude from the Secret Service was exposed.
