Apple AI tool transcribed the word ‘racist’ as ‘Trump’

Apple says it is working to fix its speech-to-text tool after some social media users found that when they spoke the word “racist” into their iPhones it typed it out as “Trump.”

The tech giant has suggested the issue with its Dictation service has been caused by a problem it has distinguishing between words with an “r” in them.

“We are aware of an issue with the speech recognition model that powers Dictation and we are rolling out a fix today,” an Apple spokesperson said.

‘I felt nothing but disgust’: Tesla owners vent their anger at Elon Musk

Funny is funny.

The tycoon’s links with Donald Trump and Germany’s far-right AfD have slammed the brakes on sales and put the car’s owners in a spin

When Mike Schwede first sat in a Tesla Roadster 15 years ago, he felt like it was a glimpse into the future. By 2016, he was the proud owner of a Tesla, revelling in the thumbs up he would get from other drivers as he whizzed along Europe’s highways in the electric vehicle.

But of late the sheen of owning a Tesla has begun to wear off. For years the brand has been synonymous with Elon Musk and his stance against the climate crisis. Recently, Schwede watched aghast as the Tesla CEO poured hundreds of millions into backing Donald Trump as he made promises to ramp up domestic oil and gas production.

Liberals getting money’s worth as media & pollsters release latest ginned up TDS poll

New poll says 27% of Canadians view the United States as an ‘enemy’ country

OTTAWA — A new poll suggests that more than a quarter of Canadians — 27 per cent — now see the United States as an “enemy” country, while another 30 per cent still say they consider the U.S. an ally.

Another 27 per cent of respondents to the Leger survey said they consider the United States to be a “neutral” country.

The poll comes as U.S. President Donald Trump threatens to impose economically devastating tariffs on Canada and has repeatedly pushed the idea that Canada should become a U.S. state.

Have some more gin.

NeverTrump European Scolds President Trump

Last week the Wall Street Journal published an op-ed by Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the erstwhile Prime Minister of Denmark, Nato Secretary General, and fervent supporter of the “rules based international order,” to which Rasmussen has “dedicated much of [his] life,” and that functions as a globalist, antinationalist foreign policy talisman that for decades U.S. taxpayers have financed.

Having returned to the White House, Trump is once again challenging that order with his America first policies and impatience with our allies’ refusal to share the cost of being the “world’s policeman.” Rasmussen fears Trump has “gone rogue” and “no longer exercises his authority over geopolitical gangsters, or becomes abusive toward the world’s most steadfast rule followers” ––by which he means Europeans, especially the Nato nations.

New Liberal ads put Canadian jobs at risk to attack Trump

Tom Hanks roasted over ‘disgusting’ portrayal of Trump supporter at ‘SNL’ 50th anniversary special

America’s sweetheart Tom Hanks was crucified by conservatives over his “disgusting” portrayal of a simple, Trump-supporting racist on the “Saturday Night Live” 50th anniversary special.

The two-time Academy Award winner returned to the stage Sunday night as “Doug” — a dumb, MAGA hat-wearing contestant on the recurring bit “Black Jeopardy,” where the butt of the joke is Hanks’ character and the black contestants discovering their similarities.

I bet a lot of people are looking forward to the day when AI replaces “Hollywood Actors”

Trump under fire for likening himself to Napoleon amid attacks on judges

Critics rounded on Donald Trump on Sunday for likening himself to Napoleon in a “dictatorial” social media post echoing the French emperor’s assertion that “he who saves his country does not violate any laws”.

The post came at the end of another tumultuous week early in Trump’s second presidency, during which acolytes questioned the legitimacy of judges making a succession of rulings to stall his administration’s aggressive seizure or dismantling of federal institutions and budgets.

His defiance of some of those orders, including one ordering a restoration of funding to bodies such as the National Institutes of Health, has led to several of the president’s opponents declaring a constitutional crisis.

These same critics were content to subvert democracy and play along as a degenerate Deep State and an even more degenerate 1st Family pretended Joe Biden was running the country.

Emperor Trump is even now scorching a path towards Iran

Is it any wonder that those watching the White House are reeling after three weeks of this presidency? Dozens of executive orders have been fired off. Tens of thousands of federal employees are out of work. Leaders the world over are struggling to respond to one initiative after another.

The contrast to the mumbling torpor of President Biden’s final months could hardly be more acute. And the breadth of Trump’s onslaught? From great to small, Gaza to Ukraine, or paper drinking straws to Taylor Swift, does anything escape the attentions of the Oval Office?

One from the peanut gallery.

The world’s populist leaders are already taking cues from Donald Trump’s second term

Make Europe Great Again. Slash foreign aid. And rid the world of paper straws, just like in America.

If U.S. President Donald Trump’s election victory was, in his words, huge, his impact back in the White House has been both chaotic and vast. He has vowed to bring glamour to the Gaza Strip, peace to Ukraine and trading partners to their knees.

His edicts are also echoing in places as disparate as the Canadian Arctic, Italy and Argentina, where populist politicians are following in Trump’s policy footsteps and casting themselves in his anti-establishment mould.

Joy Behar Claims Trump Is Threatening to Kill the Families of GOP Lawmakers

The confirmations of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to HHS and Tulsi Gabbard to DNI sent ABC News’s Joy Behar over the edge during Friday’s edition of The View. She became so unhinged that she cooked up an unfounded conspiracy theory that the reason so many GOP lawmakers had voted to confirm President Trump’s nominees was because he was threatening to kill their them and their families. And she was serious about it.

Stupid Shit Andrew Coyne Says …

The democratic world will have to get along without America. It may even have to defend itself from it

I wonder if we have underestimated the gravity of the situation the democratic world faces.

Even now, as the United States hurtles toward autocracy – the petty grotesqueries perhaps tell the story better than anything else: a reporter barred from the White House for not using the name “Gulf of America,” President Donald Trump naming himself chair of the Kennedy Center by a “unanimous” vote of its board – the tendency is still to describe events in relatively conventional terms. For example, the “mistakes” that Mr. Trump is said to have made in his dealings with Vladimir Putin, of the United States as an “unreliable ally” under Mr. Trump, and so forth.

Any questions?

The Price of Eggs at CNN

With no real arguments left, the Left is grasping at straws to fuel anti-Trump mania.

FT. WAYNE, Ind. — Sitting here at the bar/restaurant at the Ft. Wayne Hilton, a nice Midwest hotel located across the street from the gorgeous Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, I was forced to do something I don’t usually do. Watch CNN. Some rogue from hotel management decided to hold customers hostage to CNN that evening in this deeply Republican state.

Not that long ago, I frequently watched CNN. It was a reliable, respectable news outlet. Liberal but serious. But sadly, the unfortunate folks at CNN went full Trump Derangement Syndrome circa 2017. The network has never been the same. The bias is so bad and often so downright silly that — akin to reading the awful New York Times — you just shouldn’t bother, for the sake of your mental health.
