Doug Ford‘s hot mic admission that he “100%” wanted Donald Trump to win the U.S. presidential election has jolted the snap Ontario vote.
That’s because Ford framed the Feb. 27 campaign as a referendum on who could best deal with Trump’s threatened tariffs against Canada.
But the Progressive Conservative leader was caught Monday on a hot mic at his Etobicoke campaign office confiding that he had hoped the Republican Trump would beat Democrat Kamala Harris last November.
… In one particularly striking example, the night before the election, Harris put on a baffling and endless rally in Philadelphia. Long before she finally made it on stage, near midnight, thousands of her most ardent supporters were openly booing her warm-up acts.
I wrote at the time that one self-defeating rally probably didn’t mean that much in the grander scheme of a presidential election. Two months on, I’m less and less sure that’s the case. I tend to see that night now as a sign of a much larger malaise, not just in the Harris campaign, but in progressivism more broadly. Put simply, progressives don’t seem to have any idea how to perform politics in our current, socially mangled age.
I love the smell of defeated progressives in the morning. It smells like victory.
Reports claim that CBS News parent company Paramount Global is in “detailed discussions” with President Donald Trump to settle his election interference lawsuit over a deceptively edited interview with Democrat rival Kamala Harris last fall.
While Democrats are using Kash Patel’s confirmation hearing for FBI Director to rant and rave about Jan. 6, at least one Republican used his time to illustrate why so many people no longer trust the Bureau.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) brought up Patel’s work investigating FBI operation Crossfire Hurricane, an effort aimed at promoting the hoax that President Donald Trump collaborated with the Russian government to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.
The two oldest crones form the ABC News coven known as The View lashed out at White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Wednesday. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg condescendingly lectured Leavitt about her opposition to the sickness that’s known as “wokeness,” and insisted Leavitt didn’t know what she was talking about. Meanwhile, Joy Behar attacked Leavitt for her looks, suggesting that she only got the job because President Trump was attracted to her.
Return of the Russia Hoax and the battle for the CIA.
President Trump revoked the security clearances of the 51 intel officials who signed the letter linking the Hunter Biden laptop with “Russian disinformation.” That brought a response from Obama CIA director John Brennan, who charged that Trump’s “bizarre” order misrepresented the letter. It didn’t, and there’s more to Brennan’s backlash that the people should know.
Disgusted by Donald Trump’s first presidential victory in 2016, Arkansas native Heather Fitz moved to pursue a new life in Canada.
Less than a week after arriving in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with her then-husband, she was questioning her choice.
Fitz had expected Canada to be cold, but nothing had prepared her for the freezing, 68 mile-an-hour winds that rocked their seven-story apartment building one night during a nor’easter.
“I was like, did we make the right decision?” said Fitz. “I was googling ‘building swaying is this safe.’ ”
Selena Gomez Loves Illegal Alien Murderers and Rapists
In events that were foreseeable to anyone outside America’s cultural elite, the actress and popstar Selena Gomez is facing an online backlash to her now-deleted Instagram post decrying Donald Trump’s immigration policy. The offending video featured a sobbing Selena, who has Mexican heritage, wailing into her phone camera that ‘all my people are being attacked’ and that ‘I wish I could do something but I can’t’. It was a performance of such histrionic hamminess it’s little wonder Miss Gomez missed out on an Oscar nod for Emilia Perez.
Tom Homan is easily becoming one of my favorite Trump appointees. In addition to his effective enforcement of our nation’s immigration laws, he’s 100% unapologetic about the work he’s doing.

Mutiny? A prescription for accountability from General Milley
As all readers know by now, during his last hours in office, Joe Biden gave former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, a “full and unconditional pardon” for any offenses “which he may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014, through the date of this pardon, arising from or in any manner related to his service as Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army or Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.” Milley, like many others whom Biden favored with these blanket pardons, had not been convicted or even charged with a crime.
Even though the pardon insulates Milley from being charged with any federal crimes, there is still a way to obtain some accountability from him. As a retired officer, he is subject to recall to active duty at any time. That provides a mechanism for much-needed accountability.
On Saturday’s Velshi show, frequent MSNBC guest Elie Mystal made his most recent snide comments about white Americans as he complained that most whites voted for Donald Trump in spite of him telling them “exactly what they were going to do.”
The world of DJing was riled last week when Canadian DJ Deadmau5 went on a tear against fellow DJ 3lau for daring to headline for one of Donald Trump’s inaugural parties. However, 3lau is not backing down at all.
On Friday, DJ 3lau, whose real name is Justin Blau, posted to his Instagram account about his wonderful experience DJing for one of Trump’s inaugural parties earlier that week.
