Let them eat bugs: UK urges hunger-stricken African nations to farm insects

UK aid spending is encouraging hunger-stricken Africans to eat insects, with projects aiming to develop the practice in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Zimbabwe.

Edible insects have long been touted as a resource-efficient source of protein, requiring less land and water than conventional livestock. However, taste and cultural resistance have proved to be stumbling blocks in extending the practice in many parts of the world.

In a move to realise the substantial on-paper benefits of insect-eating, a £50,000 UK aid project in the DRC is putting African caterpillars, migratory locusts and black soldier flies on the menu.

Governments encouraging the Eating of Bugs is a conspiracy according to the CBC.

Between 1997 and 2013, an estimated 1,400 girls in Rotherham were sexually abused by gangs of predominantly Pakistani men. All while the local authorities turned a blind eye.

Windsor Castle trespasser said ‘I am here to kill the Queen’, court hears

Jaswant Singh Chail

A crossbow-wielding intruder in the grounds of Windsor Castle approached a police officer and announced he was there “to kill the Queen”, a court has heard.

Jaswant Singh Chail is charged with intending to injure or alarm the Queen under the little-used Treason Act after he was arrested on Christmas Day last year.

The 20-year-old, from Southampton, is the first person in more than 40 years to be charged with offences under the 1842 legislation.

RAF recruitment chief quits amid row over ‘effective pause on hiring white men’

The head of the Royal Air Force’s recruiting team has resigned amid claims the service has effectively paused recruitment of white men to hit diversity targets.

The Group Captain, whose identity has not been revealed, has left the post but is still a serving RAF officer, the Ministry of Defence confirmed.

The report by Sky News claimed an effective pause on recruiting white men had been ordered to meet diversity targets.

And this is as energy prices continue to spiral out of control: this winter, the average annual energy bill for a typical household is expected to reach £4,200, or about £350 a month — more than double what households are currently paying and a four-fold increase on the average bill paid just a year ago.

Police probe threat to JK Rowling over Salman Rushdie support

Police are investigating an online threat to JK Rowling, after she tweeted support for Salman Rushdie following his attack in the US.

The Harry Potter author, 57, shared screenshots of a message stating: “Don’t worry, you are next”.

The same Twitter account also posted messages praising the man who attacked Mr Rushdie on stage at an event in New York state.

Imagine that. Trannies and Islamists united in hate for JK Rowling. Well Mo was a cross dresser.

Prisoners held in special high-security ‘separation’ units are boycotting rehabilitation programmes, watchdog finds

Britain’s most dangerous convicted Islamic terrorists are boycotting prison work, education, training and deradicalisation programmes that could rehabilitate them, a watchdog has revealed.

An investigation by Charlie Taylor, the chief inspector of prisons, found almost all the Islamic terrorists currently being held in special high-security “separation” units were “refusing to take part” in any purposeful activity or work to change their beliefs or behaviour.

The last time I saw John Cantlie neither of us said hello. It was an autumn evening in southern Turkey ten years ago. Fresh back across the border from an assignment in Syria, the British photojournalist sat unmoving in his chair at a restaurant table in Antakya while I, on the eve of crossing back into Syria, stood near the doorway with no more inclination to walk over and speak to him than he had to get up and speak to me. Instead it was James Foley, ever the charming American, who left his seat beside Cantlie and walked up to fill the space between us with his easy smile and assurance.

Around 9,500 Afghans and their families evacuated from Kabul after the Taliban takeover of the country are still being housed in hotels a year on, at a cost of about £1 million a day.

This comes on top of the £3 million-a-day taxpayers’ bill for hotels for 26,000 asylum seekers including Channel migrants.

The majority of babies were born to unmarried mothers in Britain for the first time in recorded history, the Office for National Statistics revealed on Tuesday.

ONS figures showed that there of the 624,828 live births recorded in England and Wales last year, over 320,000 were born out of wedlock, compared to 320,713 that were born to married parents or those in a civil partnership.

But the revelations come a month after the Times announced that Carlo accepted a suitcase with 1 million euros in cash from Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, the former prime minister of Qatar. And Prince Charles’s closest aide resigned after the Times revealed he had given an award to a Saudi tycoon who had donated £ 1.5 million to Windsor charities.

UK Police Watchdog Claims It Can‘t Tell Why Manchester Cops Dropped “Asian” Rape Gang Probe

The official police watchdog has claimed, after two years of investigation, that is has been unable to find out why Greater Manchester Police (GMP) dropped an inquiry into ‘Asian’ rape gangs that identified almost 100 suspects.

The Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC), which is supposed to invigilate law enforcement in England and Wales, launched an investigation into three Mancunian officers following the publication of a grooming gangs inquiry commissioned by city mayor Andy Burnham which — like other inquiries before it — found that council officials, social workers, and police officers had failed the mostly white victims of mostly Muslim, South Asian heritage grooming gang rapists, in part due to politically correct fears around the issue.

Doctors are allegedly baffled at what is causing a sudden uptick in what they have dubbed ‘Sudden Adult Death Syndrome’ among adults under the age of 40 over the past year, and are now urging all under 40’s to go and get their heart checked.

But these doctors need not remain “baffled” any longer because we have rock-solid evidence that the Covid-19 vaccine is to blame.
