US forces strike third alleged drug vessel killing three, Trump says

President Donald Trump has said US forces carried out a “lethal kinetic strike” on a vessel which he said was trafficking drugs, and the attack killed three “male narcoterrorists” on board.

Trump said he ordered the attack on the boat, which was in the US Southern Command’s area of responsibility, after US intelligence confirmed it was trafficking drugs. It was the third such strike on alleged drug boats in recent weeks.

Trump’s statement on Truth Social on Friday said the strike happened in international waters. The US Southern Command’s area of responsibility covers most of South America and the Caribbean.

‘Sharp increase’ of known or suspected terrorists entering U.S. from Canada, FBI director testifies

FBI Director Kash Patel says there has been a “sharp increase of known or suspected terrorists” entering the U.S. through Canada.

He made the remarks during a U.S. house oversight hearing on Wednesday. Patel was responding to a question from Republican Congressman Kevin Kiley, who asked about the risk of terrorism posed by illegal border crossings.

Patel claimed that, since he rose to the helm of the bureau, there had been a significant drop in known or suspected terrorist crossings from the southern border, but a sharp increase from the north.

The details are among many bizarre allegations the U.S. Attorney’s Office recently levelled against Royal Oak’s Shahzad Hameedi.

Trump adds $100,000 fee for skilled worker visa applicants

US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order that will add a $100,000 (£74,000) annual fee for applicants to the H-1B visa programme for skilled foreign workers.

Trump’s order mentions “abuse” of the programme and will restrict entry unless payment is made.

Critics have long argued that H-1Bs undercut the American workforce, while supporters – including billionaire Elon Musk – argue it allows the US to attract top talent from around the world.

Great work by President Trump to protect American citizens from the much abused H-1B program but in Canada the Corporate Grifters rule ...

Reflections on the Coming Days of Rage

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was already positively impacting the world with his indefatigable, peaceful, joyful, godly work to change hearts and minds, but in mere days, his assassination by a cowardly sniper’s bullet has already launched a tsunami of change he likely could not have imagined. The world is entering a different epoch now, and as with all shifts into a new age, there will be birthing pains.

Draft Bill Would Authorize Trump to Kill People He Deems Narco-Terrorists

Draft legislation is circulating at the White House and on Capitol Hill that would hand President Trump sweeping power to wage war against drug cartels he deems to be “terrorists,” as well as against any nation he says has harbored or aided them, according to people familiar with the matter.

A wide range of legal specialists have said that U.S. military attacks this month on two boats suspected of smuggling drugs in the Caribbean Sea were illegal. But Mr. Trump has claimed that the Constitution gave him the power he needed to authorize them.

6 in 10 Canadians say they can never trust Americans the same way again

Canadians are not feeling the trust with their neighbours south of the border after months of U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs against Canada, new polling by Ipsos conducted exclusively for Global News has showed.

Six in 10 Canadians (60 per cent) say they can never trust the Americans the same way ever again, the poll found.

“It looks to me, based on these data, that Canadians feel that their relationship with the United States has changed in a fundamental way,” Ipsos Public Affairs CEO Darrell Bricker said.

Our MSM has been busy with the US versus Trump narrative today.

Carney must have some awfully putrid news he’s hoping to perfume.

U.S. ambassador ‘disappointed’ with anti-American sentiment in Canada

The U.S. ambassador to Canada is expressing frustration over the anti-American sentiment he sees in this country, including from politicians, after U.S. President Donald Trump hit most of the world with tariffs.

Asked what surprised him about Canada since starting his new role in April, Pete Hoekstra said Thursday that what’s most “unexpected” is the country’s feelings about the U.S.

“I’m disappointed that I came to Canada — a Canada that it is very, very difficult to find Canadians who are passionate about the American-Canadian relationship,” Hoekstra said at an event hosted by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.

Trump warns Starmer ‘illegal migration will destroy the UK from within’

Donald Trump urged Keir Starmer to deploy the military to stop the Channel boats crisis breaking Britain today.

At a tense joint press conference, the US president warned that illegal immigration ‘destroys countries from within’ – as he highlighted his own success in securing America’s borders.

Mr Trump also bluntly stated that he ‘disagreed’ with Sir Keir’s plan to recognise a Palestinian state, urged the UK to do more drilling for oil and gas in the North Sea, and pointedly hailed the ‘traditions of British liberty’.

Ford calls on Carney to keep 100% tariff on Chinese electric vehicles

Canada needs to maintain its 100 per cent tariff on Chinese electric vehicles, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said in an open letter to Prime Minister Mark Carney on Wednesday.

Ford said the measure is critical to securing a trade deal with the U.S. and protecting Canada’s auto sector.

“If the federal government removes its tariffs against Chinese-made EVs, you will contradict and undermine months of engagement with U.S. officials and lawmakers about the need to protect and enhance our highly integrated cross-border automotive supply chains,” Ford writes.

The China class will have the final word. My guess is 50-50 we’ll be driving Xi-Mobiles.

Venezuela starts days of military and ‘electronic warfare’ drills after US strikes on alleged drug boats

Venezuela says it has begun three days of military exercises on its Caribbean island of La Orchila as tensions soar amid US military activity in the region.

Forces deployed for what Washington called an anti-drug operation have blown up at least two Venezuelan boats and a combined 14 people allegedly transporting drugs across the Caribbean this month – a move slammed by UN experts as “extrajudicial execution”.

The strikes and a deployment of US warships in the region have raised fears of an invasion in Venezuela, whose president, Nicolás Maduro, has been accused by Washington of being a cartel leader.
