That same month, however, Carney pledged to increase defence spending to five per cent of GDP by 2035, acceding to U.S. President Donald Trump’s demand, and he continues to pursue a comprehensive trade and security agreement with Washington. Despite what his critics may say, the prime minister is living in reality.

Jordan Peterson puts Canadian mansion on market as he prepares to move to America

Controversial Canadian author Jordan Peterson has put his Toronto mansion up for sale ahead of his re–location to the United States.

Peterson, 63, and his wife Tammy Roberts, 60, listed their five–bedroom, three–bathroom home for $2.2million last week.

The house is located in Toronto’s Seaton Village, and the couple’s ownership was confirmed by their daughter, Mikhaila Fuller.

Fatima Ali, 18, was giving evidence against her parents Ihsan Ali, 44, and mother Zahraa Subhi Mohsin Ali, 40, at their attempted murder trial on Tuesday.

The couple are accused of trying to strangle their daughter outside Timberline High School in Lacey, Washington, on October 18 last year.

On Monday, CNN News Central featured Correspondent Rafael Romo, who made the false claim that “hundreds of immigrants with no criminal charges in the United States are being held at Alligator Alcatraz.” What Romo was trying to mischaracterize to the CNN audience was the fact they had criminal charges filed in other countries.

Trump ‘not encouraging killing’ by asking if Zelensky could bomb Moscow

President Trump mentioned possible Ukrainian strikes on Moscow to President Zelensky before he approved US arms supplies, but he was “not encouraging further killing”, the White House has said.

His spokeswoman was responding to media reports that he had asked Zelensky why Kyiv’s forces had not hit Moscow and St Petersburg, Russia’s biggest and richest cities.

“Volodymyr, can you hit Moscow? Can you hit St Petersburg too?” Trump had asked, according to the Financial Times, which cited sources familiar with the call. “Absolutely. We can if you give us the weapons,” Zelensky replied.

Omar Fateh, a current Minnesota state senator and mayoral candidate, was born in Washington, D.C., to Somali immigrants. Yet, during his state Senate campaign, he repeatedly referred to Somalia as his “home.”
