Israel is about to discover how revolting the Democratic Left have become

You’d have to hate Israel very bitterly indeed to wish to deprive it of Iron Dome, its missile defence system that has saved countless lives both before and after October 7. The system consists of ten batteries, with plans for a further five, positioned around the country and at sea at a cost of $50m each.

Yet Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the representative for New York’s 14th district and the figurehead of the progressive wing of the Democrats, openly burst into tears in 2021 when a bill providing $1 billion in new funding to Iron Dome was passed by the House of Representatives.

Who is in charge of America? Biden has destabilised the nation’s psyche

On Sunday, the impossible finally came to pass. Joe Biden, after swearing that only the Lord Almighty himself could compel him to step down from the 2024 presidential race, suddenly revealed that he was finished. The announcement, which only came in the form of a social media post, caught his own staffers by complete surprise. Even those working in the White House only came to learn of his decision on X.

To say that this is an unprecedented situation risks underselling the uniqueness of the current moment. Not only are we in very strange territory electorally (given the announcement’s proximity to the party convention), but there is also a sense that something has gone seriously wrong with the political system itself.

Lisa MacLeod: What happened to Trump could happen here. We must address that

Donald Trump got shot.

After the usual condemnations, thoughts and prayers, it was business as usual — the left equating him with the devil, the right with a saviour. A few in-between saw him for what he was in the moment: a man, a husband and a father who is running for president of the United States and whose assassination attempt has fundamentally challenged the cornerstone of democratic values, not just in the U.S., but in every free nation, including Canada.

Netanyahu risks White House ire with bid to see Trump

Binyamin Netanyahu has asked to see Donald Trump during his visit to the United States this week, risking a further increase in tension with the White House.

The Israeli prime minister, 74, is in Washington for a planned address to Congress on Wednesday. He is reported to be meeting with Kamala Harris, the vice-president, later in the day for a private meeting at the White House to discuss the war in Gaza, as well as plans to free the remaining hostages held by Hamas.

Trump destabilized Canada in 2016 claims Trudeau and he doesn’t want it to happen again because destabilizing Canada is his gig.

Trump destabilized Canada in 2016. Trudeau doesn’t want it to happen again.

OTTAWA — It could be a problem for Canada that Donald Trump doesn’t like Justin Trudeau.

Trump’s surprise win in 2016 destabilized Trudeau’s government, which spent the next four years on war footing with its largest trading partner. Now the potential return of the former president has motivated Trudeau to turn on a “Team Canada” charm offensive to neutralize any bad blood with people likely to have Trump’s ear if he wins the election.

I hope Trump invades Canada.

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle Resigns Amid Scrutiny Over Trump Assassination Attempt

WASHINGTON (AP) — The director of the Secret Service said Tuesday she is resigning following the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump that unleashed intensifying outcry about how the agency tasked with protecting current and former presidents could fail in its core mission.

Kimberly Cheatle, who had served as Secret Service director since August 2022, had been facing growing calls to resign and several investigations into how the shooter was able to get so close to the Republican presidential nominee at an outdoor campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

Kimberly Cheatle Is Why No One Trusts Anything

The best thing any group of Republican senators has done in recent memory is chase Kimberly Cheatle down the hallway at the RNC last week.

The head of the Secret Service is an appropriate target for outrage.

She should have been gone the night of the attempted Trump assassination, and now is a symbol of the incompetence and lack of responsibility that has destroyed trust in our institutions.

Kamala Harris is painfully out of her depth

The ineffectual VP isn’t worthy of higher office

Following Joe Biden’s belated withdrawal from the presidential race, the onslaught of felching flattery about his heroically sacrificial character and his administration’s astonishing, unprecedented, better-than-FDR-scale accomplishments began within minutes. From the Democratic party’s grand poohbahs and their lickspittles in the media, this fawning admiration is intended to compensate for having done nothing but insult, undermine, and leak against the President for three weeks. Now his detractors are suddenly Biden’s greatest fans. But don’t expect smarmy, unctuous if subtly guilt-ridden bootlicking from this columnist.

Where’s Joe? What’s Going On? Is Any of This Really Happening?

Joe Biden dropped out of the race on Sunday afternoon. Everyone saw his post on X. In a follow-up message on X, Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidential nomination, and Democrat leaders began lining up (with the notable exception of Barack Obama) to endorse her. The controversy over Biden’s dementia and ability to perform the duties of president appears to be over, although the nagging and quite large issue remains of whether he is able to perform the duties of president for the next seven months. And yet almost immediately, questions about the way Biden withdrew began to swirl, including the basic one: did he really withdraw at all?

Reports: Secret Service Skipped Security Briefing, Wasn’t Even Planning To Send Snipers To Trump Rally

Secret Service failed to undertake critical security measures and deprived Donald Trump of ample protection ahead of the attempted assassination against the former president, new information disclosed by congressional members shows.

Is it far fetched to suggest the plan consisted of knocking off Trump and Biden in order to install a new Democrat Party Puppet in Kamala?

‘You’re full of shit today,’ lawmaker tells Secret Service head at hearing on Trump shooting security lapses

In another exchange that captured the tone of the hearing, Republican Rep. Nancy Mace asked Cheatle if she wanted to use her allotted five minutes of question time to draft her resignation. Cheatle declined, and Mace’s frustration soon boiled over.

“You’re full of shit today,” Mace said, prompting a brief reminder about decorum in the House. “You are being dishonest or lying. These are important questions that the American people want answers to and you’re just dodging.”

Cheatle did not respond.

The Sum of All Democrat Fears

Biden drops reelection bid and endorses Soros-backed VP after mutiny by party officials and donors.

By the beginning of 2024, the Democrats had settled on a simple strategy to retain control of the Presidency and the Senate while regaining a majority in the House of Representatives. The most important element of the plan was to work with corporate media to assure that the electorate remained focused on the purported threat to our democracy™ presented by former President Trump and his “extremist MAGA” supporters.

This would permit President Biden and other Democrats seeking reelection to avoid pesky questions about inflation, the border crisis, rampant crime rates and dangerous conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. Their strategy collapsed on June 27.

Why Americans Aren’t Having Babies

The costs and rising expectations of parenthood are making young people think hard about having any children at all

Americans aren’t just waiting longer to have kids and having fewer once they start—they’re less likely to have any at all.
The shift means that childlessness may be emerging as the main driver of the country’s record-low birthrate.

Women without children, rather than those having fewer, are responsible for most of the decline in average births among 35- to 44-year-olds during their lifetimes so far, according to an analysis of the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey data by University of Texas demographer Dean Spears for The Wall Street Journal. Childlessness accounted for over two-thirds of the 6.5% drop in average births between 2012 to 2022.
