US women’s soccer stars at World Cup opener remain mostly silent during anthem

Megan Rapinoe Victoria’s Secret Brand Ambassador. What could go wrong?

Much of the US women’s soccer team remained silent during the playing of The Star-Spangled Banner at Friday’s World Cup opener in New Zealand, prompting critics to excoriate players over a perceived lack of patriotism.

Before beating Vietnam, 3-0, to open Group E play, six of 11 starting players opted against placing their hands over their hearts, instead keeping their arms at their sides or behind their backs. Meanwhile, five others did put their hands on their hearts, including three — Julie Ertz, Alyssa Naeher and Lindsey Horan — who also sang the national anthem lyrics.

Tacky but not as bad as Canada fielding a Guy.

The Liberal government confirmed this week it plans to go ahead with the tax targeting Big Tech in 2024, despite 138 other countries and jurisdictions agreeing last week to delay similar measures.

John Ivison: The U.S. ambassador’s careful diplomacy about Canada’s defence deficiencies

When David Cohen talks about Canada’s defence spending, it brings to mind Edmund Burke’s comments about prudence in diplomacy; that diplomats employ “an economy of truth … a sort of temperance by which a man can speak truth with measure that he may speak it longer.”

Washington’s man in Ottawa speaks the truth but clearly considers it counterproductive to tell the whole truth.

China Makes a Mockery of John Kerry

John Kerry Ass Faced Hypocrite

If John Kerry has a defining theme to his career, it’s pandering to totalitarian leftist dictatorships and then getting left holding the bag with that usual stupefied expression on his equine features. Everyone from the Viet Cong to the Sandinistas have pulled the trick on Kerry, Communist China is only a little late to the party.

NYT Admits ‘Official Covid Deaths’ Were Overcounted by 30%

After years of smearing such claims as “conspiracy theories,” the left-wing New York Times has admitted that the “official” data on deaths caused by Covid was overcounted by at least 30 percent.

Citing data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the NY Times states that a third of “Covid deaths” were actually caused by “something else.”

The Conservative case for revolution

Chris Rufo wants the Right to build a Trojan horse

Aeschylus’s tragedy Agamemnon begins with the fall of Troy. Clytemnestra, wife of the Greek king, hears news of victory, and imagines the “clash of cries” in the captured city, as the victors and the vanquished mingle. Musing on the destruction, exhaustion and still-fresh memory of violence, she hopes the occupying soldiers will withhold from looting the vanquished and angering their gods: “O, let there be no fresh wrong done!”

The Islamization of North Dakota

The Islamic attack out of Fargo shows the impact of refugee settlement.

Three blocks from where Mohamad Barakat opened fire on police officers and firefighters, the Islamic Society of Fargo-Moorhead squats across from a school bus company. Nearby are other elements of the new enclave like the Somali Community Development group which offers English and citizenship classes and the Al Hamdi Restaurant from whose vicinity an eyewitness reported hearing the shots that took the life of one police officer and wounded two others.

US Muslim parents blast Canada’s PM Justin Trudeau and say he is ‘lying or misinformed’ after blaming American media for opposition to woke gender and LGBTQ education in schools

Muslim parents in Maryland ripped Justin Trudeau saying much of the fear over LGBTQ themes in schools was fueled by American right-wing extremists, with one mother saying Trudeau effectively called her a bigot.

Last week, Trudeau spoke to parents at a mosque in Calgary after hundreds of Muslim parents gathered in Ottawa on June 9 and 13 to protest against LGBTQ education in schools.

Trudeau told the Calgary crowd that ‘people on social media, particularly fueled by the American right wing’ were stirring up the protests and said they were pursuing their own interests.

I for one would welcome a fatwa against Trudeau.

The Liberal-Left is pulling its hair out.

Muslim Mobs Get a Pass for Assaulting Jews in NYC and LA

Attackers get off with no prison time and anti-bias training.

In May 2021, Joseph Borgen was violently assaulted by a Muslim mob while walking down the street in midtown Manhattan in the vicinity of an anti-Israel rally. The Jewish man was kicked, punched, pepper sprayed, beaten with a metal object, and ended up in the hospital.

Borgen was taunted as a “dirty Jew” and the assault was caught on video. “They were kicking me in my ribs, my stomach,” he described.
