Canadian Media Silent As U.S. Senators Meet With Washington Truckers Convoy

In terms of media coverage, silence has ruled the roost since the convoy to Washington, DC began. We speak not of American media, but rather of the media monolith that exists north of the border in Canada.

What are the reasons for the collective silence? An attempt at logic: Justin Trudeau and his draconian Covid measures have been the primary cause for the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa. The People’s Convoy in Washington is an outgrowth of the Ottawa protest. Therefore, the prime minister of Canada is the individual most responsible for the Washington protest.

Russia Should Worry: The US Military Has Activated Its Strategic Materiel Stockpile

For the past weeks, the 405th Army Field Support Brigade has been preparing for the incoming troops by activating the Army Prepositioned Stock-2 sites, which are capable of outfitting an entire armored brigade combat team.

The strategic reserves at the Army Prepositioned Stock-2 sites include hundreds of M1 Abrams tanks, M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, Joint Light Tactical Vehicles, Paladin M109A6 self-propelled howitzers, supply trucks, and other vehicles.

A UFC fighter makes a stunning statement about the US and the Ukraine war

For reasons that make no sense to me, a reporter asked UFC fighter (and champion) Bryce Mitchell what he thinks about events in Ukraine. I mean, with all due respect to UFC fighters, why in the world should we care what they think about events in Eastern Europe? Well, it turned out that, when it comes to Mitchell, it was worthwhile caring, because he gave a full-throated defense of American values — the primary of which is that he’ll fight like hell to defend his homeland but has no desire to be dragged into a war thousands of miles away in a repeat of Vietnam or Afghanistan. My bet is that a lot of Americans feel as he does.

The New McCarthyism

January 6 is providing a pretext for a politically motivated crackdown on dissent.

Since the storming of the U.S. Capitol by outraged supporters of President Donald Trump on January 6, 2021, the growth of political intolerance in the United States has reached toxic levels. Trump’s adversaries immediately branded the incident as an insurrection and accused the lame duck president of trying to stage a coup to invalidate the results of the 2020 election. Los Angeles Times columnist Doyle McManus warned, in a column headlined “Warning: Jan. 6 was not a one-time event,” that Trump and his right-wing backers might use similar tactics to overturn future elections. With rare exceptions, both the mainstream legacy media and the newer social media powerhouses fully embraced the “insurrection” narrative.

Kamala Harris Attacks Truckers for Pollution as ‘People‘s Convoy‘ Protesters Hit D.C.

Vice President Kamala Harris criticized the levels of pollution caused by heavy trucks on the same day a group of patriotic truckers circled Washington, DC.

“Pollution from heavy-duty trucks and buses has made the air poisonous to breathe and this pollution is also, of course, accelerating the climate crises,” Harris said during a speech near the White House on Monday. “Threatening the future not just of our communities, but of the entire world.”

Nolte: Back Domestic Drilling or Shut Up About Opposing Putin

Hey, I see you changed your profile photo to the Ukrainian flag. Yeah, that should do it.

Oh, my, yes… Be still my heart at the bravery it must have taken for you to pour out all your Russian vodka (that was made in the U.S.A.) and then directly fund Putin’s war crimes by filling your gas tank.

You know, I just don’t want to hear it from America’s Keyboard Generals, those with lives and heads so empty they’re sure they can win this war under a blanket holding an iPhone — and that includes Joe Biden.

Supreme Court sides with FBI in suit brought by Muslim Americans on spying

Such model citizens.

A unanimous Supreme Court on Friday dealt a setback to three Muslim Americans who are trying to sue the FBI for religious discrimination over surveillance in their place of worship after 9/11.

The narrow opinion, written by Justice Samuel Alito, reverses an appeals court ruling that would have allowed the suit to move forward over objections by the government that doing so would risk disclosure of secret and classified information.

The court said the government’s longstanding “state secrets” privilege is paramount and that a procedure established by Congress in the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to allow trial courts to review the legality of some electronic surveillance does not apply in this case.

Desperation: Biden woos Venezuela, Saudis for oil … while clinging to climate-change restrictions at home

If the Joe Biden administration has any strategy at all on energy, it appears to be of the rotating-despot variety. It seems Biden would desperately like any country other than his own to step up its production. That desperation has led the White House to send envoys to Nicolas Maduro, hoping to convince the Venezuelan tyrant to turn on the Russian tyrant to get more of the dirtiest oil available…

U.S. Tells All Americans in Russia to Leave IMMEDIATELY

Do not travel to Russia due to the unprovoked and unjustified attack by Russian military forces in Ukraine, the potential for harassment against U.S. citizens by Russian government security officials, the Embassy’s limited ability to assist U.S. citizens in Russia, COVID-19 and related entry restrictions, terrorism, limited flights into and out of Russia, and the arbitrary enforcement of local law. U.S. citizens should depart Russia immediately.

Russia and Iran Taunt Biden in Humiliating Revival of Nuclear Deal

Last week, I posited that the Biden administration was soft-pedaling SWIFT sanctions because it does not want to discuss why the United States is not in a position to boot Russia from the telecommunication system that facilitates global commerce and finance: The United States government has willfully entangled itself in dependence on Putin’s regime. This is particularly so in the realms of energy and foreign relations.

It hasn’t taken long for a textbook example of this idiocy to leap to the fore.
