Nicaragua embracing China to insulate against international sanctions

Another shining example of a Hollywood fave doing Communism right!

WASHINGTON, Dec 10 (Reuters) – Nicaragua’s sudden diplomatic switch from Taiwan to China was part of efforts by President Daniel Ortega’s government to shield itself from recent international sanctions against Managua, a senior U.S. administration official said on Friday.

The United States is also uncertain whether Honduras could follow suit and open diplomatic ties with Beijing, the U.S. official told Reuters, but added Washington was ready to “surge” economic aid to the incoming government of Xiomara Castro.

Canada threatens new tariffs on U.S. exports if it approves EV tax credit

Hates Justin too.

Canada is threatening a retaliatory barrage of punitive tariffs and to reverse a number of dairy-related trade concessions if the United States goes through with its controversial plan to encourage the development and sale of U.S.-made electric vehicles.

In a stern letter dated Friday to key members of the Senate leadership, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland and Trade Minister Mary Ng promised to impose tariffs on a raft of U.S.-made products if President Joe Biden’s tax credit proposal becomes law.

They said the proposal amounts to a 34 per cent tariff on electric vehicles assembled in Canada and violates the terms of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA.

I think Biden’s handlers hate Justin. Who doesn’t?  Perhaps a lecture on the need to legislate mandatory transgender EV Battery assembly would help open US eyes. Looks like the Dairy cartel stands to gain, so there’s that.

China Vows To Open Fire on US Troops That Come to Taiwan’s Aid

The latest threat to attack the United States during any standoff between China and Taiwan was issued Thursday in the Global Times, an official Chinese Communist Party mouthpiece that prints the regime’s propaganda. “It is credible that the [People’s Liberation Army] will heavily attack U.S. troops who come to Taiwan’s rescue,” the paper wrote. “Such credibility is increasingly overwhelming the deterrence that U.S. troops may have.”

Toronto area Muslim who became ‘voice of ISIS’ pleads guilty in US court, admits he conducted executions … looks forward to fat cheque from Justin Trudeau

Devout Muslim Death Cultist

A Toronto man known as the voice of ISIS pleaded guilty to terrorism on Friday, admitting in a U.S. court he executed two Syrian soldiers.

Mohammed Khalifa faces a possible life sentence after pleading guilty to providing material resources to a foreign terrorist organization.

In a statement, the U.S. Department of Justice said the 38-year-old Canadian had confessed to conducting executions for ISIS on two occasions.

Rest assured Justin will spring this fine young Mohammedan.

And remember – you’re a racist!

The Unmitigated Gall of Ilhan Omar

Rep. Ilhan Omar is demanding that Congress censure a colleague over offensive remarks. This is a real demand happening right now, and reporters write about her demands without peppering their prose with incredulous exclamation marks.

House progressives, in fact, are reportedly planning to introduce a resolution that would strip Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of committee assignments over her stupid and bigoted joke about Omar.

Julian Assange can be extradited to the US, court rules … but appeals could take years

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange can be extradited from the UK to the US, the High Court has ruled.

The US won its appeal against a January UK court ruling that he could not be extradited due to concerns over his mental health.

Judges were reassured by US promises to reduce the risk of suicide. His fiancee said they intended to appeal.

Mr Assange is wanted in the US over the publication of thousands of classified documents in 2010 and 2011.

ANALYSIS: Biden’s Nord Stream 2 Move Opens The Door To A Russian Invasion Into Ukraine

“Opponents of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which was recently completed, argue it would make Russia less reliant on the Ukrainian gas pipeline network, potentially stripping a key deterrent to invasion, according to The Wilson Center. Nord Stream 2 would remove both a key revenue source from Ukraine and a powerful tool the nation has in defending itself against Russian aggression.”

Nuclear submarine ‘spies’ invoke Trump defense

A Maryland woman charged in connection with selling US nuclear submarine secrets to a foreign power wanted to flee the country because she despised President Donald Trump, not because she feared arrest, her lawyers said.

Diana Toebbe and her husband Jonathan were arrested in October and face espionage charges. Prosecutors have argued against freeing them on bail, citing a text message from Diana saying the couple would be “welcomed and rewarded by a foreign [government].”

At a hearing on Wednesday, her lawyers presented additional messages to argue she was motivated by disdain for the Republican president, not fear of being caught.

REPORT: Biden Admin Plans On Advising ̷U̷k̷r̷a̷i̷n̷e̷ Czechoslovakia To Hand Over ̷T̷e̷r̷r̷i̷t̷o̷r̷y̷ Sudetenland To Russia

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden said this week the U.S. would take a more direct role in diplomacy to address Vladimir Putin’s concerns over Ukraine and Europe, part of a broader effort to dissuade the Russian leader from a destabilizing invasion of Ukraine.

But any negotiations to peacefully resolve Europe’s tangled East-West rivalries will present minefields for the U.S. president.

Administration officials have suggested that the U.S. will press Ukraine to formally cede a measure of autonomy to eastern Ukrainian lands now controlled by Russia-backed separatists who rose up against Kyiv in 2014. An undefined “special status” for those areas was laid out in an ambiguous, European-brokered peace deal in 2015, but it has never taken hold.

In shadow of U.S. protectionism, Canada in heated battle for EV battery manufacturing

Canada is racing to close deals for new plants to produce electric-vehicle batteries amid an increasingly heated North America-wide competition for investment in EV manufacturing.

Government negotiations with at least three companies looking to make major battery-building investments have reached a critical stage, sources familiar with the talks confirmed on Wednesday.

… As auto makers shift from gasoline-fueled cars and light-duty trucks to electric vehicles, Ottawa has promised to capitalize on Canada’s combination of natural resources and manufacturing infrastructure and expertise to be a major EV player. But its efforts are being challenged by U.S. President Joe Biden’s plan to introduce EV purchase rebates of up to $12,500, with a large chunk of that contingent on the vehicles being made in the United States.

Seems a real possibility that Canada’s auto industry will be decimated. Justin’s BFF Biden has repeatedly slapped Canada in the face since taking office. Personally I suspect Biden’s handlers just don’t give a damn about Justin or Canada and Junior knows it.

Trudeau is a petulant little China Fan Boy so I wonder if he’ll attempt a pivot to Beijing in retaliation for US protectionism. Don’t put it past Junior, he really is that ignorant and Canada’s China class will be pulling his strings. There has to be some reason the Liberals have been so reluctant to ban Huawei. Is a Huawei reprieve Justin’s way back into Xi’s good graces? (go incognito)

How Obama Sabotaged the American Military

Obama fundamentally transformed the military the way that he did the country.

By the time Barack Obama left office, every branch of the military was smaller than it had been on September 11. But the change in size concealed the true impact of America’s most left-wing president in undermining our national security and weakening us in the face of our enemies.

“I’ve got a pen, and I’ve got a phone,” Obama famously boasted. He used the pen to unleash a blizzard of executive orders and memorandums. Some led to outraged protests, but some of his most devastating penned assaults on our nation’s military flew under the radar.

What Functional America wants – An end to disorder and CRT-loving hustlers who fan the flames of hate

The United States is still rich enough to meet higher-order needs and call them entitlements. The decades-long response to race, class and gender proves the point. Americans can fixate on respect, status, self-esteem, hurt feelings and positive recognition because the essentials just happen.

Potable water, traffic lights, microwave ovens and freedom from fear. They are there, like magic. Because all Americans are fed, reasonably policed and more civil than not — this point cannot be overstressed — authorities can sidestep policy basics and empirical findings.

Russia Ukraine: Sending US troops not on table – Biden

US President Joe Biden has said that putting American troops on the ground in Ukraine in the event of a Russian invasion is “not on the table”.

But Mr Biden warned of severe consequences if Russia did invade.

He was speaking a day after two hours of talks by video link with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

‘Speak Loudly And Carry A Small Stick’: Republicans Blast Biden’s Response To Putin’s Escalation In Ukraine

Republicans blasted President Joe Biden’s efforts to prevent a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine as “weak” and “embarrassing” hours after Biden held a call Tuesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Republicans from all corners of the party criticized Biden after he only threatened an economic response should Russia move forward with an invasion of Ukraine. Both White House press secretary Jen Psaki and national security adviser Jake Sullivan refused to state whether the U.S. or NATO would be willing to take direct military action to defend Ukraine.

Can Biden and Putin Avert War Over Ukraine?

President Joe Biden held a virtual summit meeting that lasted two hours with Russian president Vladimir Putin on Tuesday amid mounting military tensions over Ukraine. Though the Biden administration has been eager to focus on China rather than Russia, Putin is adroitly ensuring that Moscow remains a central player in world politics. The summit itself was a potent sign of the Kremlin’s influence.

“Greetings, Mr. President!” Putin reportedly said at the start of the call. “Good to see you again,” Biden responded. “Unfortunately last time we didn’t get to see one another at the G20. I am hoping next time we meet we do it in person.”
