Is Prince Charles a republican sleeper agent? While the conventional wisdom has it that the Platinum Jubilee festivities showed us that the monarchy is secure for a generation at least, Charles seems determined to prove otherwise. His leaked comments over the weekend, condemning the government’s Rwanda migration policy as ‘appalling’, have reminded us that while Queen Elizabeth has done well to maintain an air of neutrality, Prince Charles simply cannot keep his mouth shut.
“Woke Royals”
Prince Andrew wants royal status ‘reinstated, recognised and respected’

The Duke of York is also believed to have asked the Queen for his most coveted title back, the colonelcy of the Grenadier Guards
The Duke of York has asked the Queen to be reinstated as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, The Telegraph understands, as he pushes for a return to royal duties.
Prince Andrew has been lobbying the monarch for his status as a blood prince to be restored, meaning readmittance to official events alongside other members of his family.
He has also been pushing for his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, to be made working royals.
Like Harry he’s hell bent on destroying the Monarchy, not to mention Chuckie’s recent political meddling.

Eco-preachers Harry and Meghan are accused of ‘enormous hypocrisy’ for taking $200,000 flight back from Jubilee to LA in private jet

Harry and Meghan have been accused of ‘enormous hypocrisy’ after flying back to California from the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in a ‘Russian oligarch-style’ private jet.
The eco-preaching Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to their £11million Montecito mansion with their children Archie and Lilibet on a gas-guzzling Bombardier Global 6000 before the grand finale of the Jubilee pageant even began on Sunday.
Bombardier is an ‘ultra long range’ 13-passenger private jet which comes with its own ‘private stateroom’ that features a flatbed and can travel more than 6,000 miles without stopping. It is not clear who paid for the £160,000 flight.
Pity as I used to like Harry.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle booed at Platinum Jubilee church service

Megxit remains polarizing.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were greeted with both boos and cheers at the Platinum Jubilee church service Friday, with the jeers trying to outdo the excitement over their arrival.
The loud booing could be heard as the couple — who live in Santa Barbara, Calif., following their dramatic 2020 exit from the royal family — left St. Paul’s Cathedral in London holding hands.
Harry and Meghan’s popularity sinks to all-time low… just days before couple fly in from LA for the Queen’s Jubilee

Harry and Meghan’s popularity has sunk to an all-time low, according to a new poll – just days before the couple are due to fly in from California for the Queen’s Jubilee.
The research, carried out by YouGov on 1,692 adults earlier this month, asked whether they held a positive or negative opinion of the Duke and Duchess.
The results, published today, showed Harry’s favourability score had dropped to -26, which means just 32 per cent of people polled see him in a positive light, compared to 58 per cent who think of him negatively.

Professor smeared as racist for ‘dreaded Meghan’ comment won’t go down without a fight
A UK art professor whose livelihood was thrust into doubt after she lost her accreditation following innocent remarks about Meghan Markle is fighting back, taking legal action claiming a breach of contract by a national arts organization.
Dr. Anne Anderson who is an honorary professor at the esteemed Exeter University was thrust into a living hell after she made comments about the Duchess of Sussex prior to a Zoom lecture on IKEA furniture last year during small-talk about Markle and her emasculated husband Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, words that would be used to smear her as a racist and cut off a major source of her income.
Spare us Prince Harry’s woke holidays

‘Sustainable’ tourism patronises locals and travellers alike.
The jet-setting Prince Harry has a lot to say about how other people should live. So it is no surprise that his woke gaze has now turned to tourism – ‘sustainable’ tourism, naturally.
Travalyst is a new venture led by the Duke of Sussex, in partnership with big travel firms like Booking.com, Expedia, Google, Skyscanner, Trip.com, Tripadvisor and Visa. Its aim is to develop a ‘sustainability’ scoring system, which can bring about ‘the systemic changes needed in order for sustainable travel to be taken out of the niche and into the mainstream’. So far, it succeeds only in patronising locals and tourists alike.
Canada’s indigenous leaders ask for royal apology

Indigenous leaders met Prince Charles in Canada and asked for an apology from the Queen over the “assimilation and genocide” of indigenous schoolchildren.
RoseAnne Archibald, Assembly of First Nations national chief, said the prince “acknowledged” failures in handling the relationship with indigenous people.
Canada is dealing with a scandal which saw indigenous children die or be abused in residential schools.
I don’t see GB giving up its Royal tradition but I wonder if the Firm will cut all foreign ties of their own initiative. It must be a lot of bother being heckled everywhere you go and the woke nagging just isn’t playing well.
Constitutional monarchy serves us well — but its figureheads have a serious image problem
There was some tittering on the Internet last week when Prince Charles, opening a new session of the British Parliament on behalf of his ailing mother, relayed the government’s commitment to helping “ease the cost of living for families” while sitting upon a golden throne.
In fairness to Charles, he was only doing his job. For that matter, a case can be made that the event at the Palace of Westminster — what’s called the Queen’s Speech in the United Kingdom and the Speech from the Throne in Canada — was actually less ridiculous than the self-aggrandizing and airy State of the Union address the American president delivers each year.

Prince Charles says Canada must confront ‘darker’ aspects of its past
… In an address at the Confederation Building in St. John’s, the seat of Newfoundland and Labrador’s government where they were greeted by a military salute and cheering school children waving miniature Canadian and Newfoundland flags, Prince Charles acknowledged he’s arrived in Canada at a time of historic reckoning with its Indigenous people.
“We must find new ways to come to terms with the darker and more difficult aspects of the past, acknowledging, reconciling and striving to do better,” he told a crowd of dignitaries, in a speech in both French and English. “It is a process that starts with listening. My wife and I look forward to listening to you, and learning.”
Britain’s last royal jubilee?

The celebration of the Queen’s 70 years on the throne comes as the young question the monarchy’s purpose.
On the surface, the United Kingdom’s royal jubilees have been jolly affairs — all pomp and pageantry, marching bands and parading redcoats, bunting and commemorative souvenirs, street parties, warm beer and cake.
In this regard, undoubtedly, Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee next month, for which celebrations already began on Sunday, will be no different. But all royal jubilees also come with a sense of public apprehension — and this will once again be the case.
The first time the country celebrated a monarch’s jubilee in a significant public way was the Golden Jubilee in 1809 of King George III — the “mad king” who lost the American colonies. Loyal inhabitants of an Oxfordshire village decided to name every child born during the year either Jubilee George or Jubilee Charlotte, after the sovereign’s wife.
Royal couple to begin three-day Canadian tour amid increasing skepticism of monarchy

Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, are set to begin a three-day tour of Canada this week that will focus on Indigenous reconciliation and climate change — and on connecting with a Canadian public that is increasingly skeptical of the monarchy.
‘Americans aren’t into them’ Meghan and Harry’s brand questioned after Netflix axe show
MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry’s appeal to US audiences has been questioned by a marketing expert who claims “Americans just aren’t into them” after one of the pair’s Netflix projects was axed by the streaming service last week.

The Queen BANS Harry and Meghan and Andrew from Buckingham Palace balcony on her Platinum Jubilee

Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK risks becoming the ‘focus’ of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, royal experts warned tonight – after the couple announced their comeback just minutes after it was revealed they were banned from the Buckingham Palace balcony.
A sensational statement at 3pm said the couple – as well as the Duke of York – would not be invited onto the balcony for Trooping the Colour, the spectacular start of her long weekend of celebrations.
Netflix ‘quietly cancels’ series created by Duchess of Sussex

The former ‘Suits’ actress – who, along with her husband, abandoned royal duties for a life in Los Angeles back in 2020 – created the series through the couple’s Archewell Productions company and had described it as a family series that centres on the adventures of a 12-year-old girl who finds inspiration in a variety of influential women throughout history.
