Ilegal workers for Hamptons’ rich and famous living in squalid migrant camps among luxury homes

Illegal immigrants who mow the lawns and paint the mansions of wealthy Hamptons residents are being forced to live in hovels hidden in the woods due to the sky-high cost of residing in the summer playground of celebrities such as Jerry Seinfeld, Billy Joel and Jay-Z and Beyoncé, The Post has learned.

Squalid encampments exist around the tony town of Southampton, including just off the main highway and in the waterfront village of Westhampton Beach.

“I work for very rich people in the Hamptons but I can’t afford somewhere to live,” lamented Juan Antonio Morales, 40.

Uber broke laws, duped police and secretly lobbied governments, leak reveals

A leaked trove of confidential files has revealed the inside story of how the tech giant Uber flouted laws, duped police, exploited violence against drivers and secretly lobbied governments during its aggressive global expansion.

The unprecedented leak to the Guardian of more than 124,000 documents – known as the Uber files – lays bare the ethically questionable practices that fuelled the company’s transformation into one of Silicon Valley’s most famous exports.

The leak spans a five-year period when Uber was run by its co-founder Travis Kalanick, who tried to force the cab-hailing service into cities around the world, even if that meant breaching laws and taxi regulations.

Ukraine expresses ‘deep disappointment’ as Canada sends back six Russian turbines to Germany

The Ukrainian government on Sunday expressed “deep disappointment” at Canada’s decision to release Russian-owned gas turbines that had been stranded in a Montreal repair facility because of sanctions against Moscow.

Kyiv warned the move would embolden Moscow to keep using its ability to choke off Europe’s fuel supplies as a weapon.

Russia last month cited the delayed return of the turbine equipment, which Germany’s Siemens Energy had been servicing in Canada, as the reason behind its decision to reduce the flow of natural gas through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline. The pipeline, which runs from Russia to Germany, was operating at 40-per-cent capacity.

This may be the 1st Virtue Signaling Conflict in History. Making empty performative gestures of support is Trudeau’s specialty.

Judge Virginia Amato

A Washington state judge was blasted for telling a serial criminal he’d be sent to prison and raped by an inmate named ‘Bubba’ if he didn’t change his ways.

Judge Virginia Amato was officially reprimanded after telling the unnamed domestic abuse suspect last August that he was on course ‘to be Bubba’s new best girlfriend in the state penitentiary.’

‘That may hopefully give you a graphic image to think about… And if you think I’m kidding, I’m not,’ the judge said, according to a complaint.

Church of England: There is ‘no official definition’ of a woman

Comments provoke criticism, with England’s first woman priest saying she is ‘not totally happy’ with Bishop in Europe’s answer

The Church of England has said that there is “no official definition” of a woman.

Senior bishops have insisted that until recently, the answer to questions such as what constitutes a woman “were thought to be self-evident”. However, now “additional care” is needed.

The stance comes as the institution struggles to remain relevant and progressive amid declining congregant numbers and in an increasingly secular society.

Dig for Georgia Guidestones time capsule adds to mystery

The promise of a trove buried underneath the now-destroyed Georgia Guidestones appears to be a bust.

The mysterious structure unveiled in 1980 was demolished Wednesday after an explosion that caused extensive damage, but there was lingering intrigue about the possibility of a time capsule.

A slab on-site had two unfinished lines that said, “Placed six feet below this spot on …” that was “to be opened on,” leading to a search by county officials.
