Committee asking company to explain how it’s ensuring funds are not being used to “promote extremism”

A parliamentary committee has voted unanimously to call officials from the popular crowdfunding site GoFundMe to answer questions about a fundraiser that has collected more than $10.1 million to support the anti-vaccine mandate protest in Ottawa.

The motion, proposed by NDP MP Alistair MacGregor, calls on company officials to appear before the House of Commons committee on public safety and national security “as soon as possible.”

Liberal, Conservative and Bloc Québécois members of the committee joined MacGregor in voting to invite the company to testify.

U.S. says new intel shows Russia plotting false flag attack

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. accused the Kremlin on Thursday of an elaborate plot to fabricate an attack by Ukrainian forces that Russia could use as a pretext to take military action against its neighbor.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said the scheme included production of a graphic propaganda video that would show staged explosions and use corpses and actors depicting grieving mourners.

The plan for the fake attack on Russian territory or Russian-speaking people was revealed in declassified intelligence shared with Ukrainian officials and European allies in recent days. It is the latest allegation by the U.S. and Britain that Russia is plotting to use a false pretext to go to war against Ukraine.

U.S. Diplomats, Spies May Have Been Hit By Electromagnetic Energy -Report

Some of the 1,000 U.S. diplomats and intelligence officers hit by a mysterious illness known as Havana Syndrome could have been targeted by electromagnetic energy pulses, according to a report to U.S. intelligence leaders released on Wednesday.

“Pulse electromagnetic energy, particularly in the radio frequency range, plausibly explains” the ear pain, vertigo, and other symptoms of some of those suffering the ailments first reported by U.S. diplomats in the Cuban capital in 2016, experts from inside and outside the U.S. government said.

Russia, IMHO.

His 95-year-old grandmother was discharged in only a hospital gown. It was –10 C

When Greg Mitchell of Ottawa picked up his grandmother from University Hospital in London, Ont., last week, he says he was surprised to find her in her wheelchair wearing only a blue hospital gown, with the temperature –10 C.

“They sent home her clothing in a bag,” said Mitchell about the 95-year-old, who has dementia.

“When the porter dropped her off to me outside, she said something to the effect that, ‘She’s a handful, and she’s not happy and she’s all yours now.'”

Guardianista warns Canada’s Covid protests highlight rise of rightwing populist movements!

Days of protests against pandemic policies and a deep rift within Canada’s conservative movement have highlighted the growing power of rightwing populist movements in the country.

On Tuesday, retail stores and vaccine clinics in Ottawa remained closed as protesters, who had travelled to the nation’s capital under the guise of protesting vaccine mandates for truckers, refused to leave.

“There’s a million people that live in Ottawa. I hear you. I hear the protesters, the province hears the protesters, the country hears the protesters,” said the Ontario premier, Doug Ford. “Now it’s time to let the people in Ottawa get back to their lives.”

The left are deeply afraid of normal people.

Tail cracks on military’s new helicopters likely due to weight of equipment: DND

That’ll buff out.

OTTAWA — The Department of National Defence is blaming an apparent design flaw for the cracks recently discovered in the tails of most of the military’s new Cyclone helicopters.

The department says it believes the weight and pressure of equipment installed on the tail are likely responsible for the cracks, which have been found on 21 of the military’s 23 Cyclones.

We have a winner! The most unhinged anti-Truck protest screed comes to us courtesy of The Star

While Canada cracks down on Indigenous and Black protesters, white supremacists get a free pass in Canada. Just look at the convoy

Jesus wept then he face palmed.

… Now, imagine a Canada where people openly support far right movements, openly complain about “depopulation of the Caucasian race …(because) the goal is, is to depopulate the Anglo-Saxon race because they are the ones with the strongest bloodlines,” and threaten to gridlock the nation’s capital or overthrow it. Where MPs are being told to hide as the mob receives police escort and are given access to washrooms and warm greetings with the same leaders who threaten to criminalize Black and Indigenous protestors for fighting for their lives.

This is the current reality, Canada. And it’s ugly.

You can’t parody something this divorced from reality.

CTV smears non-violent trucker protest as non-violently dangerous

Calling Ottawa protests ‘peaceful’ downplays non-violent dangers, critics say

Police haven’t reported any physical violence at the ongoing Ottawa rally against vaccine mandates and other government-imposed COVID-19 restrictions, but critics warn that conflating the absence of bloodshed with “peaceful” protest downplays the dangers of the weekend demonstrations.

For two days, the downtown core of the nation’s capital has been a no-go zone as trucks and crowds have snarled traffic, with some members defacing monuments and wielding signs with violent and hateful imagery. Police are also investigating what they describe as threatening behaviour toward officers, city workers and other individuals, as well as damage to a city vehicle.

But as of Sunday afternoon, there were no arrests related to incidents of physical violence during the demonstrations, a police spokeswoman said, though a statement issued that evening said “confrontations and the need for de-escalation has regularly been required.”

Black Lives Matter sent millions to Canada charity to buy mansion

Black Lives Matter transferred millions to a Canadian charity run by the wife of its co-founder to purchase a sprawling mansion that had once served as the headquarters of the Communist Party, public records show.

M4BJ, a Toronto-based non-profit set up by Janaya Khan and other Canadian activists, snagged the 10,000 square foot historic property for the equivalent of $6.3 million in cash in July 2021, according to Toronto property records viewed by The Post.

Khan is the wife of Patrisse Khan-Cullors, a co-founder of Black Lives Matter Global Foundation Network and a self-avowed Marxist.
