“Fruity Ass” relevance in dispute: Jussie Smollett’s lawyers claim judge ‘lunged’ at one of them, ask for a mistrial

CHICAGO — Jussie Smollett’s attorneys asked for a mistrial Thursday after the judge called their evidence irrelevant in front of the jury and “physically lunged” at one of the actor’s lawyers.

The odd fracas came in the midst of the defense’s cross-examination of Olabinjo Osundairo, who claims he was paid to help Smollett stage the hate crime, as attorney Tamara Walker grilled him about his alleged homophobia and past derogatory remarks toward suspected gay men.

Osundairo, 30, had just acknowledged he used the word “fruity ass” to refer to a man he suspected was gay and Walker asked if Smollett, who is openly gay, knew he’d said such things in the past.

NYC’s Tenement Museum faces backlash after it REPLACES story of white Irish immigrants with woke tale of black New Jersey family who never even lived in the Lower East Side building

The Tenement Museum is facing backlash for scrubbing the history of the white immigrants who inhabited the building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side with stories about black and other races that never stepped foot in its now-hallowed hallways.

Chief among the complaints is the museum replacing the story of an Irish family who resided at the building at 103 Orchard Street in the late 19th and early 20th centuries with that of a black man – who worked near the building and lived in New Jersey for much of his life.

When the museum opened in 1988, it was devoted to re-creating the immigrant experience of the more than 7,000 people who inhabited the 22 apartments in the five-story building during the 19th and 20th centuries.

Science museum bows to trans criticism

The Science Museum in London has agreed to alter an exhibit on human biology and sex characteristics after receiving complaints over a perceived lack of transgender representation and its “non-inclusive narrative.”

Museum authorities confirmed that the exhibit, titled ‘Boy or Girl?’, is currently under review to “take into account new scientific and curatorial research and visitor feedback.” The exhibit apparently covers subjects such as hormones and chromosomes and asks, “How are boys and girls different?”

Self-declared ‘Queen of Canada’ detained by RCMP after alleged threats to health-care workers

Romana Didulo, a leading Canadian QAnon figure with an alleged history of encouraging her followers to shoot health-care workers, was taken into custody by the RCMP’s national security team in Victoria, B.C.

Didulo, who often refers to herself as the “Queen of Canada,” said in a YouTube video that the RCMP’s integrated national-security enforcement team (INSET) served her with a search warrant and told her she was being detained under B.C.’s mental health act.

That’s silly. Justin is the Queen of Canada.

BDS measure bans ‘pro-Israel’ kosher caterers at Toronto University

(November 30, 2021 / JNS) Just days before a report concerning anti-Semitism on campus is set to be released, the student union at a branch of the University of Toronto voted in favor of a radical BDS measure against Israel.

The resolution by the Scarborough Center Students Union, which was passed on Nov. 24, says, in part, that it will “refrain from engaging with organizations, services or participating in events that further normalize Israeli apartheid.” That includes “inviting speakers who are representing the Israel Defense Force or support the military occupation of Palestine, the displacement, incarceration and/or killing of Palestinian people.”
