A university lecturer has won a £15,000 payout after being unfairly sacked from his role for ‘unnecessarily aggressive’ punctuation

A university lecturer has won a £15,000 payout after being unfairly sacked from his role for ‘aggressive’ behaviour – by sending too many question marks in text messages.

Dr Binoy Sobnack, a physics lecturer at the University of Loughborough, created an ‘intimidating tone’ with his use of ‘multiple punctuation marks’, a tribunal heard.

He was removed from his role as warden of a hall of residence following complaints by fellow staff.

Anti-Sex-Work Racism Was Not On My Bingo Card

‘A specific kind of racism’: Atlanta shootings fuel fears over anti-sex-work ideology

“Following an interview with authorities, the Cherokee county sheriff, Frank Reynolds, maintained that Long “gave no indicators” that his crimes were racially motivated. “We asked him that specifically and the answer was no,” Reynolds said on Wednesday.

This idea is ludicrous to many who have observed the surge in racist violence against Asian Americans during the pandemic: in the past year, there have been 3,800 reported incidents of anti-Asian violence, roughly 503 of which took place during 2021 alone, according to the group Stop AAPI Hate. Women make up the vast majority of those attacked. And some argue that it is equally absurd to exclude discussion of anti-sex-work sentiment from the conversation about these most recent attacks on the Asian community.”

No more babies? The hormone-altering chemicals threatening human procreation

There’s a looming solution to all of humanity’s problems — by 2045 most men may no longer be able to reproduce because of the impact of hormone-altering chemicals.

That’s according to Shanna Swan, a leading scholar of reproductive health. “The current state of reproductive affairs can’t continue much longer without threatening human survival,” she told POLITICO.

That adds yet another danger to the list of potential human calamities, but awareness of our looming reproductive demise still isn’t widespread, Swan said.

Answers to ‘Stubby.’

A Spanish rapper has been cleared of slicing off his British flatmate’s penis after the Oxford graduate told judges he had mutilated himself because of gender issues.

Andrew Breach, a 35-year-old English teacher, has also been told he will not face a perjury probe after the three sentencing judges turned down a request by prosecutors to charge him with false testimony.

Mr Breach claimed at Aaron Beltran’s two-day trial on March 1 and 2 he chopped off his own penis with a kitchen knife because of gender issues despite telling police his flatmate was to blame in one of his earlier statements.

Not Again! The FBI Covers Up the Nashville Bombing

At last, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, that revered organization of maximum probity, trusted by every American from sea to shining sea, lauded in the television series “The FBI Files,” not to mention the earlier “The FBI,” starring Efrem Zimbalist Jr. of “77 Sunset Strip” fame, has, after great deliberation by their highly esteemed Quantico Behavioral Analysis Unit, delivered the truth behind the mysterious Nashville, Tennessee, bombing by that suicidal, paranoiac, aging IT expert Anthony Quinn Warner early on Christmas morning in 2020.

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole reversed his predecessor’s position on foreign aid spending Tuesday, saying that if elected, a Conservative government wouldn’t cut that budget.

But he said he would look to mirror previous Conservative foreign aid programs that tied funds to specific, measurable outcomes.

“I want to maintain and modernize and make more accountable our development funding,” he said during a virtual event with Cooperation Canada, an umbrella organization for international development agencies.
