International Criminal Court Won’t Investigate China’s Detention of Muslims

Fatou Bensouda – confidence inspiring not.

The International Criminal Court has decided not to pursue an investigation into China’s mass detention of Muslims, a setback for activists eager to hold Beijing accountable for persecution of ethnic and religious minorities.

Prosecutors in The Hague said on Monday that they would not, for the moment, investigate allegations that China had committed genocide and crimes against humanity regarding the Uighurs, a predominantly Muslim ethnic group, because the alleged crimes took place in China, which is not a party to the court.

Vulva Owners And The De-gendering Of Biology

The woke madness of transgender ideology demands that we “de-gender” body parts unique to each sex in order to further the flights of fancy that one can be a “man” or a “woman” not only as it regardless of one’s biological sex but as it regards the existence of biological sex at all to the point of denigrating it to simply body parts that one may or may not have regardless of whether they are a “man” or a “woman”.

Vaccines, Legal Liability & Learning from History

…As I’ve discussed previously, a small number of people who received Pandemrix, one of the H1N1 vaccines, later developed narcolepsy – an incurable, life-altering disease. The connection was first noticed in Scandinavian countries such as Sweden, where vaccination rates tend to be high.

In Finland, children aged 16 and under were diagnosed with narcolepsy 17 times as often in 2010 as had been the case between 2002 and 2009. Most of those stricken developed symptoms serious enough to impair their daily lives within a few months of receiving Pandemrix.

Seattle weighs ‘poverty defense’ for most misdemeanor crimes

The Seattle City Council said the proposal, crafted with input from local public defenders, would excuse suspects from minor crimes like theft, trespassing, or assault — but not in cases of domestic violence or driving while impaired, KUOW-TV reported.

“In a situation where you took that sandwich because you were hungry and you were trying to meet your basic need of satisfying your hunger, we as a community will know that we should not punish that,” Anita Khandelwal, King County director of public defense, told the station. “That conduct is excused.”

North Korea is using the coronavirus pandemic to crack down even more on its people, seven members of the United Nations Security Council said.

Germany, Britain, France, Belgium, Estonia, the United States and the Dominican Republic made the accusation Friday during a private, virtual meeting, Reuters reported.

“The DPRK’s human rights violations pose an imminent threat to international peace and security. The DPRK government diverts resources away from its people to its illicit ballistic missile and nuclear programs,” the seven countries said in a statement.
