Stop Trump: a very Millennial meltdown

A generation reared on Doctor Who, Harry Potter and Remainerism can’t accept that the world has changed.

It’s night. A blonde woman stands on Westminster Bridge, staring out across the water. In the background are the Houses of Parliament. We hear the bongs of Big Ben as the woman turns to face us. She speaks. ‘There’s a darkness coming. It’s already swallowed America, and now it’s coming for us, too.’

Liberals’ push for gun buyback program fuelled by pressure from Quebec, public safety minister says in leaked audio

Lying Liberal DEI MP

OTTAWA—Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree says he made “misguided” comments after a leaked audio recording reviewed by the Star reveals him claiming Mark Carney’s government is forging ahead with the Trudeau-era gun ban and buyback program because of electoral pressures from Quebec, despite stringent opposition from provinces, police and gun owners across the rest of the country.

It was one of many revelations made in a roughly 20-minute back-and-forth about the plan between Anandasangaree and his tenant, who lives in a Toronto residential property owned by the minister. The tenant, who is a frustrated gun owner, recorded the conversation discreetly because they were discussing issues at the home before the minister began talking about the buyback scheme.

Il Manifesto, which has a correspondent aboard one of the flotilla vessels, reported on Tuesday that Thunberg was seen dragging her suitcase along a Tunis dock to transfer from the Steering Committee flagship Family to another vessel, the Alma.

Why it’s time to get rid of grades from our schools … said no one facing major surgery ever

Why it’s time to get rid of grades from our schools

There are many problems in our educational system that will take a great deal of energy, ingenuity, and money to fix. But there is one policy change we could make that would immediately garner better results for students: it is time to end grading in schools.

Grades are so much a part of our education system that they feel inevitable. But several years ago, at the Trent School of Education where I am a faculty member, we did away with grades for our Bachelor of Education students. The result? Far better quality of work and learning. Such change doesn’t have to be limited to the university either. It can be this way in all levels of schooling, and it is well past time.

Clergy lament co-opting of Cross at Tommy Robinson protest

Church leaders are deeply concerned about supporters of the far-right agitator Tommy Robinson co-opting the Christian faith and symbols including the Cross.

In an open letter, senior figures representing a spread of denominations warned against the “misuse of Christianity”.

The signatories include Lord Williams of Oystermouth, a former Archbishop of Canterbury; the Right Rev Philip Mounstephen, Bishop of Winchester; Gavin Calver, chief executive of the Evangelical Alliance, and Bishop Mike Royal, general secretary of Churches Together in England.

Oh Brother. It’s not as if these woke “Christians” were doing anything useful with it.
