If you spend any amount of time on X, it’s impossible to miss the pattern.

Democrats are angry. Depressed. They scream at the camera. They fantasize about violence against “oppressors.” They film themselves weeping, wailing, and gnashing their teeth. Just as you can be reasonably certain that anybody who flies an American flag is a Republican, you can be equally confident that everybody who wears a mask in 2025 (or back in 2024, 2023, or 2022) is a strong Democrat.

Bill Gates to give most of $200 billion fund to Africa

US billionaire Bill Gates on Tuesday announced that the majority of his philanthropic Gates Foundation’s $200 billion (€175 billion) endowment will be spent in Africa over the next two decades.

Gates, who on May 8 said he would wind down the foundation by 2045, made the pledge while addressing African leaders in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

“I recently made a commitment that my wealth will be given away over the next 20 years. The majority of that funding will be spent on helping you address challenges here in Africa,” Gates said as he urged leaders to boost health and development through partnership and innovation.

‘Sesame Street‘ Celebrates Pride Month: ‘On Our Street, Everyone Is Welcome‘

The official social media pages for Sesame Street celebrated LGBTQ Pride Month once again on the first day of June.

On both X and Instagram, the Sesame Street pages shared a graphic of multi-colored puppets holding hands so that they resembled the colors of an LGBTQ Pride flag.

First Nations threaten highway blockages over Ford government’s Bill 5

The leader of an Ontario First Nation is warning the Ford government it could face lawsuits, protests and disruptions of major Toronto-area highways if the province passes the controversial Bill 5 into law.

The legislation, which critics say gives the premier and his cabinet extraordinary powers to create “no law zones” across Ontario, is set to be fast-tracked this week before MPPs break for the summer.

Hospital alleges its floors aren’t flat, files $100M lawsuit against builder

Humber River Health is suing the consortium contracted to build and maintain its Toronto hospital for $100 million, alleging that negligent design and construction is creating health and safety problems for patients and staff.

The lawsuit, filed in early April, alleges that a “sizable portion” of the hospital’s floors are not level or flat and that some of the flooring itself is deteriorating.

“Floor levelness is a critical operational and safety issue,” reads Humber River Health’s claim, filed in Ontario Superior Court.


Can’t build subway lines, can’t build streetcar lines, can’t build hospitals, can build a fancy eco barn! Is it graft? Is it societal decline?

Courts ‘reviving blasphemy laws’ after convicting man who burned Koran

British courts have been accused of reviving blasphemy laws after a man who set fire to a copy of the Koran was convicted of a racially aggravated public order offence.

Hamit Coskun shouted “f— Islam” and “Islam is religion of terrorism” while holding the religious text above his head during a protest on Feb 13.

The 50-year-old, who was violently attacked by a passerby during the demonstration in London, went on trial last week, accused of an offence under the Public Order Act.
