The teen girl accused of stabbing Kenneth Lee to death is not guilty of murder, a Superior Court judge has ruled.

The girl, who was 14 at the time, is guilty of manslaughter — a lesser offence she pleaded to at the outset of her trial in February. That admission was rejected by Crown prosecutors as they pursued the murder conviction.

Justice Philip Campbell’s decision Friday afternoon means none of the eight girls charged with swarming 59-year-old Lee will be found to have actually been the one to fatally stab him.

OTTAWA — A “secret” memo from the Department of National Defence last year said Canada’s 2005 decision not to join the U.S. ballistic missile defence system harmed the country’s reputation as a security partner and could make it harder to participate in the AUKUS military collaboration between Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The memo also raised Canada’s long-standing failure to meet its defence spending commitments with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization as “the elephant in the room” that has raised doubts about whether Canada is willing to pull its weight for international security.

I took a (very quiet) flight in the first certified electric plane

We are sitting at the end of the runway waiting for clearance to depart from the air traffic control tower. Permission granted, Adam Twidell pushes some buttons, and the propeller starts to spin.

Twidell is a former RAF pilot and today he is at the rather cramped controls of a Pipistrel Velis Electro, the world’s first type-certified electric aircraft.

Omer Shem Tov, has said his captors had hoped the Democrat would win the election and credits Donald Trump for helping to secure his freedom.

“As soon as Donald Trump was elected, they understood that he wants to bring the hostages back home,” Mr Shem Tov told CNN.

I have no doubts about this whatsoever.

Apollo News is reporting on the substantial speech crime sentence handed to a 73 year-old pensioner from the district of Traunstein in Upper Bavaria. Twice last year, the man repeated the expression “Alles für Deutschland”1 in posts on X – apparently in the course of discussing the indictment of Alternative für Deutschland politician Björn Höcke for the use of the same phrase.

Pickering boy, 13, in custody after ‘sadistic’ random slaying of elderly woman

A 13-year-old boy is in custody and a shelter-in-place has been lifted in north Pickering after what police believe was a “sadistic and cowardly” random slaying of an elderly woman.

The Durham Regional Police tactical support unit made the arrest Thursday evening “without incident” and cops said charges are pending after an hours-long manhunt in the Fairport Rd.-Lynn Heights Dr. area, north of Finch Ave., where officers had been called at about 3 p.m. to respond to an unknown trouble call.

Note the perp’s identity is unsubstantiated at this time, the “internet” is saying he has been peer identified on social media.

I suspect this whole episode will be hushed up, just like the authorities denied the Danforth shooter’s motive was Islamist Jihad.

Why Does the NYT Oppose White Civil Rights?

On May 25, 2025, the New York Times published a piece by Erica Green, who “covers the White House and reported from Washington,” titled “For Trump, Civil Rights Protections Should Help White Men,” with the subtitle “Administration officials pick and choose which civil rights protections they want to enforce, and for whom.” My head nearly exploded reading this thing.

The featured photograph at the top of the article, showing President Trump walking towards Marine One, has the following caption: “President Trump has turned to civil rights protections in recent weeks to remedy what he sees as the disenfranchisement of white men.”

Yeah, and?
