Sri Lankan sex offender allowed to stay in Britain because he is gay

A convicted Sri Lankan sex offender has been allowed to remain in Britain because he is gay and would be at risk of persecution if he was returned to his home country.

The convicted paedophile, jailed in 2012 for four years for molesting three young teenage boys, has been fighting a 12-year legal battle against Home Office efforts to deport him.

Successive judges up to the Court of Appeal have disagreed over the validity of his claim that his deportation would be a breach of his Article 3 rights under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).

St-Onge spectacularly fails to make the case for the CBC

‘Let us speak what the Trudeau Liberals consider unspeakable. There is no role for a public broadcaster in Canada.’

If the role of a public broadcaster is to be what Canadian Heritage Minister Pascale St-Onge wants it to be, let’s not have one.

The CBC already presents its own version of Canadian values and reality. But, if the ‘vision’ she articulated this morning ever comes to pass, with its amplified funding and a mandate to fight ‘dis/mis-information,’ it becomes a semi-official news agency in fact as well as appearance.

There May Be Something to the Obama Divorce Rumors

As PJ Media has previously reported, rumors that Barack and Michelle Obama are on the verge of a divorce have gained traction recently, driven by Michelle’s absence from key public events and a history of speculated marital tension.

Earlier this year, Michelle missed former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral, citing a “scheduling conflict” that was actually an extended vacation in Hawaii. She also opted out of attending Donald Trump’s January 2025 inauguration. These absences, along with the couple’s lack of joint public appearances for months, have fueled social media chatter and tabloid headlines. Some have pointed to Barack’s alleged personal indiscretions as a possible cause.

The U.S. Sent Over $3 Billion to Hezbollah’s ‘Army’

In 2006, after a Hezbollah invasion, Israel launched a military campaign against the Islamic terrorist group. After a month of fighting, the Bush administration forced a ceasefire under UN Security Council Resolution 1701 that required the disarmament of Hezbollah and its replacement by the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) and a United Nations “peacekeeping” force.

How can Hezbollah claim victory, President George W. Bush wondered, when they were “going to be replaced by a Lebanese Army and an international force?”
