The Canadian Union of Public Employees has “lost confidence” in national vice-president Fred Hahn and is demanding his resignation after he posted a video widely denounced as antisemitic.

OTTAWA — The purchase of the new residence of Canada’s consul general in New York by Global Affairs Canada was not approved by the Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) because it was just below the threshold that jumped to $10 million in 2022.

The U.S. military has made its largest move so far in a novel national-security effort to fund mining initiatives in Canada.
The Pentagon on Tuesday announced a $20 million US grant to create a cobalt refinery in northern Ontario’s Temiskaming Shores. The money will go to the Toronto-based Electra Battery Materials Corporation; the government of Canada is adding $3.6 million US ($4.9 million Cdn) of its own to the project.

The Civil War tore America apart and left 600,000 dead. Still, despite its ferocity, it had at its heart only one big issue: whether the Constitution’s promise of individual liberty overrode states’ rights to govern themselves. Otherwise, Americans were much the same: the Bible, hard work, heterosexuality, the nuclear family, anti-crime, etc. America today actually faces a more profound schism than it did then because we’ve become two entirely different people. OTTAWA — A Charter challenge has been launched against the federal government over its decision not to allow those suffering solely from mental illness the ability to access an assisted-death.
On Monday, a statement of claim was issued at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice by Dying with Dignity Canada, a national charity that advocates for people’s right to access the procedure, along with two individuals diagnosed with mental disorders who say it has filled their life with suffering.
How long before conservative political beliefs are legislated as a mental illness requiring involuntary “euthanasia”.
