New hurdle signals more cost overruns for Trans Mountain’s controversial pipeline

There is a new and significant hurdle facing the massively over-budget and contentious Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project running through Alberta and British Columbia.

The Stk’emlúpsemc te Secwépemc, a First Nation in the Interior of B.C., near Kamloops, is disputing a proposed change by Trans Mountain to the pipeline route through an area known as Pípsell.

Armed man arrested at RFK, Jr. campaign event in Los Angeles

An armed man was arrested at a campaign event for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in Los Angeles on Friday. He was detained as he approached the candidate by Kennedy’s private security team.

The arrest came before Kennedy delivered his speech to the Hispanic community at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles Friday night. September is Hispanic Heritage Month.

Trudeau gov’t calls for meeting with CEOs of Canada’s biggest grocery chains to talk food prices and look like they’re doin somethin

The federal government says it expects the heads of five of Canada’s biggest grocery chains to attend a meeting in Ottawa on Monday to discuss ways to stabilize food prices.

The office of Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne told CBC News it asked the CEOs of Loblaw, Sobeys, Metro, Costco and Walmart to attend in person.

Champagne’s office said it sent out the invitation Thursday afternoon as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was delivering his affordability announcement in London, Ont. at the Liberals’ national caucus retreat.


Taxes have a funny way of being passed down to the consumer but with Frankie Champagne on the case that means the Grocery Barons should walk away with a few billion each.

Navy Puts The Kibosh On Digital Recruiting Program After Discovering Enlistees Aren’t Into Drag Queens

The U.S. Navy confirmed on Tuesday it has discontinued an online recruiting initiative featuring an enlisted drag queen that was aimed at bringing new sailors into the service.

In May, The Daily Caller revealed that the Navy brought on Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley — an active-duty drag queen who goes by the stage name Harpy Daniels and identifies as non-binary — to be a “Navy Digital Ambassador.” The Digital Ambassador Pilot Program, which ran from October 2022 to March 2023, was reportedly “designed to explore the digital environment to reach a wide range of potential candidates” for military recruitment.

13 Florida high school students arrested in ‘out of control’ brawls across campus

A Florida high school turned into a fight club where haymakers, shoving and wrestling overtook the hallways earlier this week, leading to the arrest of 13 students.

Several fights broke out throughout Tuesday at Zephyrhills High School while videos posted to various social media sites show different angles of the brawls.
