“Mad about Climate Change” urinating polar bear sculpture turned off at night after noise complaints

A statue of a polar bear urinating into a Dutch canal will no longer pass water at night after noise complaints from nearby sleep-deprived residents.

The giant “p—-d off” bear, erected to highlight the effects of climate change, had urinated every three minutes, 24 hours a day, before its neighbours complained the flow made too much noise.

‘Bacon of hope’: Germany tries to take down unflattering parody account

Instead of flying to an international summit in Bali, Germany’s Green Party climate minister should take the zero-carbon alternative and walk. Germans must boycott the opening of the men’s second division football season because “patriarchal structures” have led to a clash with the Women’s World Cup.

These and other absurd messages have attracted 50,000 followers to an anonymous satirist parodying the German foreign minister on X, formerly known as Twitter. It is more than several actual ministries have amassed.

You Won’t Believe the NY Times Double Standard on Jason Aldean and ‘Racist Vigilantism’

The New York Times looked ridiculous in several articles on alleged racism and “vigilantism.” Jason Aldean’s song “Try That In a Small Town” never mentioned race, but was somehow a call to racist violence. But a South African leader chanted “Kill the Boer!” — an explicit call to violence against white South African farmers — and the Times pooh-poohed it as a “far right” conspiracy theory.

More than a third of UK residents do not know that transgender women are biologically male, according to a poll, calling into question public understanding of the debate over gender.

Pope Francis, head of the Roman Catholic Church, met at the Vatican with a group of transgender individuals—men who identify as women—who he referred to as “daughters of God,” a statement that appears somewhat contradictory to his past statements on gender ideology.

The supreme Pontiff spoke about the meeting, and what he said could apply to any of a number of meetings, as he met with transgender people in Rome several times last year.

Bad behavior at ‘Barbenheimer’ reflects a worrying trend

Drunken outbursts, public nudity and nonstop cellphone use disrupt packed theaters. Have people forgotten how to go the movies?

Ryan Gosling was having a big moment onscreen bro’ing up the Barbie Dreamhouse as Ken when Tess Connolly, 22, first spotted something amiss.

It was a 9:30 p.m. showing of “Barbie” at the Regal Cinema in downtown Denver, and the theater’s manager had begun pleading with a man seated a few rows in front of Connolly and her younger brother. The man, the manager said, needed to leave. But the moviegoer wouldn’t budge. That’s when five security guards showed up and Connolly truly took in the spectacle in front of her — and, unfortunately, it wasn’t Ken shouting “Sublime!”

Popular restaurants, professional sports teams among the Ontario companies accused of unpaid wages during the pandemic

From Tim Hortons restaurants to the Ottawa Senators, some of the province’s most recognizable brands faced complaints about workplace violations during the pandemic.

The Star obtained data on every employment standards claim in Ontario between 2020 and 2022 where money was found owing, or a settlement was reached.

This is the treatment employees can expect thanks to the Trudeau government allowing our “Captains of Industry” to import indentured servants on a whim.
