Woke academics urge US Marine Corps to stop calling instructors ‘sir’ and ‘ma’am’ to be more gender inclusive
US Marines may soon stop using the words ‘sir’ and ‘ma’am’ to address their senior officers, a new report has revealed – as part of a sweeping effort to avoid ‘misgendering’ drill instructors.
The recommendation came in a recently completed academic report from the University of Pittsburgh, which was commissioned by the Corps in 2020.
Completed this year, the report offers a detailed independent study on gender-integration at boot camp, and suggests measures Marines should take to make both genders feel more at ease when hearing responses from aspiring privates.
More than $2.7M paid to 50 claimants of serious injury connected to mystery vaccines in Canada
According to new statistics, Canada’s Vaccine Injury Support Program has approved or paid out more than $2.7 million to claimants since the program opened in 2021.
So far, 50 claims of a serious and permanent injury connected to a vaccine authorized by Health Canada have been approved.
Between June 2021 and Dec 1, 2022, the program received 1,299 claims, 209 of which were determined to be inadmissible because they either didn’t meet the eligibility criteria or had incomplete information.

OTTAWA – An RCMP intelligence official accused of violating Canada’s secrecy law has been granted bail.
The reasons for Ontario Superior Court Justice Robert Maranger’s decision Wednesday in the case of Cameron Jay Ortis are covered by a publication ban.
Ortis was taken into custody in Ottawa on Sept. 12, 2019.
