Spy agency says it doesn’t just go after extremists’ computers. It also goes after their online reputation

OTTAWA — Canada’s cyberintelligence agency doesn’t just go after violent extremist group leaders’ computers and networks, it also attacks their reputation, credibility and trustworthiness to undermine them, according to a new report.

In its latest annual report published Friday, the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) offered new detail about what it does during an “active cyber operation”.

Justice Barrett gives Justice Jackson the nastiest judge-on-judge smackdown I’ve ever seen

Unsuitable

With apologies to Jane Austen, it is a truth universally acknowledged that Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson must have been appointed based on her XX chromosomes (even though she doesn’t know what a woman is) and her melanin level. Take those away, and she is a truly dim bulb. But now that she’s on the Supreme Court, she’s a dim bulb with dreams of an all-powerful (leftist) judiciary.

How Glastonbury became a playpen for the turbo-smug and talentless

For once I am grateful for Glastonbury. For on this gloriously sunny weekend they’ve done us normal Brits a solid by huddling together on Worthy Farm every pompous tit in the land. Gary Stevenson’s there, with his mockney bollocks about capitalism. And lunatic boob-expander Zack Polanski. The cunning stunts of Led by Donkeys too, natch – those Brewdog ballbags have not once spied a gathering of moneyed white people that they haven’t wanted to titillate with such daring fare as ‘Tories are bad’.

I don’t know who this is…

Ontario ends legal battle to avoid covering surgery for non-binary resident who wants a vagina while keeping a penis

A non-binary Ontario resident’s years-long battle for a publicly funded, out-of-country surgery to have a vagina surgically created while maintaining a penis is over.

The Ontario government says it won’t ask the Supreme Court of Canada to review a lower court’s ruling in April declaring that the novel phallus-preserving surgery qualifies as an insured service under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) — the latest win for the patient, identified only as K.S.

Trans student, 19, who ‘torched two Tesla Cybertrucks’ faces HUGE sentence thanks to Trump’s AG Pam Bondi

A transgender teenager accused of firebombing two Tesla Cybertrucks faces spending the remainder of his youth behind bars thanks to very harsh federal charges.

Owen McIntire, 19, is staring down 30 years in prison for the March 17 Molotov cocktail attack on two of the EVs at a Tesla dealership in his native Kansas City.

The teen, who was receiving so-called gender-affirming care at the time of the attacks, has denied federal charges of malicious destruction of property and unlawful possession of an unregistered destructive device.

Preventing ‘Grooming Gangs’ Requires Honest Data

The common factor amongst the perpetrators is not nationality or ethnicity but Islam, and the common factor amongst the victims is that they are non-Muslims.

We need to talk about the failure to collect and provide data about the offenders connected to the grooming gangs—or what is more accurately described as child sexual slavery and enforced child trafficking.

Despite having signed and ratified the Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence (‘the Istanbul Convention’) which, in article 11, requires the UK authorities to collect and make public such data, we have an intelligence picture that is so bad it suggests the truth is being deliberately obscured to hide the true scale and nature of these horrors.

SLOBODIAN: You’d never know the shooting had stopped

‘Iran’s Supreme Leader may be hiding in shame, but his hateful ideology marches on, right here in Canada.’

With the announcement of a “complete and total” ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, US President Donald J. Trump earlier this week declared an “official end,” to a 12-day war of relentless bombing.

Within a couple of hours an angry Trump dropped the F-bomb when he blasted both Israel and Iran for violating the terms he had just announced.

Ottawa considering military equipment production deal with Ukraine, Defence Minister says

Ottawa is considering whether to follow in the footsteps of several European nations by forging a new defence co-production deal with Ukraine for military equipment, Defence Minister David McGuinty said Thursday.

McGuinty said the idea is under “active consideration” by the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces, and the government is looking at Denmark and France as potential models.

An Afrikaner in America Laments for His Homeland

A farmer family gives ‘The American Spectator’ a profile in melancholy.

Gideon Jacobs has lived a life of the land. Farm-to-table was never a long sojourn for the barrel-chested Afrikaner, whose accent carries the history of his people. A base of Dutch, dashes of English, Malay, and a dozen more tongues built a language as uniquely native to South African soil as the people who claimed it as their own.

Less than 100 Dutch pioneers began the saga of Afrikanderdom in 1652, a century before Zulu expansionism brought that nation to fame. Former South African President Jacob Zuma, whose rule was a turning point in the post-apartheid era from rainbow nation to black nationalism, called the landing “the start of the trouble for this country.” Yet, even Zuma, for all his diatribes, had to begrudgingly dub the Afrikaners “truly African.”

JAY GOLDBERG: Put the electric vehicle mandate in park

The Chevrolet Corvette. The Subaru Outback. The Mazda Miata. All these cars vary in price, buyer demographic and sales volume. But they all were designed to have one thing in common: The combustion engine.

If the government of Prime Minister Mark Carney has its way, none of these cars will be sold as new models in Canada, at least the way they were meant to be, by 2035.
