The Wages of COVID — Part One

Why did the government and mainstream media collude to discredit alternative, successful COVID treatments?

The COVID pandemic was and remains one of the largest involuntary wealth transfers in history. Which is why, in trying to get to the bottom of what was done in the name of saving us from the ravages of the virus, it is best to “follow the money.” For in the law, as in life, the money trail will inevitably lead to the truth.

Recall that as the COVID virus spread throughout our panicked nation, our government and its associated medical authorities instructed us to shelter in place.

A proud country cannot keep its first prime minister in a box

Sir John A. Macdonald has been in a box, literally and figuratively, for years.

A statue of Canada’s first prime minister on the lawn of the Ontario legislature was encased with hoarding after it was vandalized in 2020, and it has remained like that for the past five years. Everyone knew what was in the box but we pretended not to see it: the same type of fiction we abet when a child playing hide-and-seek believes that he disappears when he covers his own eyes. It was a timorous half-measure by those clearly wary of running afoul of one group or another, and so we boxed up our history and left it there, assuming that the hoarding would be less ugly than the public’s reaction to an actual decision.

Trust me. Canada’s weasel politicians are proud of “Boxing Macdonald” and all it’s variants.

Footage shows the moment Swiss village is buried by falling glacier

Astonishing new footage shows the moment a Swiss village was buried by a collapsing glacier yesterday, leaving homes in ruin and one person missing.

Video shows a huge cloud of ice and scree spewing over the village of Blatten on Wednesday, dwarfing tiny Alpine lodges as a chunk of the Birch glacier broke off.

Mud and rockfall hit homes as debris hurtled down the mountain slope and into the valley where the village was built.

Scotland: The police think you’re a ‘Nazi’ if you believe in biology

If you have ever wondered why the police ever thought it acceptable to investigate a journalist for her gender-critical beliefs, arrest a woman for ‘misgendering’ or record a non-crime hate incident for a trans-sceptical limerick, then an internal document circulated by Police Scotland may offer a clue. Apparently, some officers genuinely believe that people who believe in biology are really just like the Nazis.

College of Teachers acts against teacher for denouncing Hamas

For years radicals have been trying to insert themselves into our education system.

These are the people who teach that 2+2= racist. That’s not a joke; it’s something that happened.

Now, our education system and the organizations that support it are being used as ways to bring the conflict in the Middle East into the classroom.

Did King Charles go nuts on his Canada trip?

I like King Charles. I visited him at Windsor Castle recently as Mrs. Miller picked up a gong. The castle has been beautifully restored. It is full of treasures, looted from the Empire. There were no refreshments, only a porcelain water bowl for the service dog of one of the honorees.

The King was charming, looking a little the worse for wear, perhaps. He graciously laughed at Mrs. M’s joke. He’s a thoughtful guy. A little odd, which is no bad thing. But he seems to have gone completely nuts on his trip to Canada this week, where he opened Parliament with the most modern of empty gestures.

Christians condemn ‘blasphemy’ after cathedral art performance sees half-naked actors dance with plucked chickens in nappies

A bizarre cathedral art performance that sees scantily clad actors dance with plucked chickens in nappies has sparked outrage from Christians in Germany.

The show was meant to be a solemn ceremony marking the 1250 year anniversary of Westphalia but instead turned into a shocking scandal.

Although the audience reportedly enjoyed the performance, it ruffled feathers within the religious community after a video of it was shared online.

So Brave!

NOVA

Patti Jo and I attended the Nova exhibit this afternoon.

It tells the story of the Nova festival massacre of Oct 7 2023 when Palestinians on a murderous rampage stumbled upon a Trance music festival.

Security is tight, Patti Jo was so thoroughly searched I figured they found a gun. But I guess that explains why the Pallies have stayed away in droves.

The exhibit contains items from the festival site arranged to walk you through events of the day.

Personal stories accompany video as the day tragically unfolds.

Screams of “Allahu Akbar” are heard frequently in celebration of cold blooded murder solidifying Islam’s status as the “Religion of Peace”.

It is a worthwhile exhibit, the stories are harrowing at times but blood and gore have been largely minimized.

An argument could be made that nothing should be held back but I doubt that those who lost loved ones would agree.

If you live in the west end the venue is easy to reach and after you’re done you can grab a hot veal sandwich at Commisso’s a couple of streets away.

Please thank Patti Jo for the pics.

PS. The Commisso plug is not a paid promotion just a reference to my misguided youth.

The disturbing rise of neo-eugenics

Tech bros love designer babies

In the “not-so-distant future” of the 1997 sci-fi thriller Gattaca, society is divided by genetic status. The protagonist, played by Ethan Hawke, is a naturally conceived “invalid”, while Jude Law plays a former swimming champion whose life was engineered for perfection. Law’s traits had been selected by a geneticist, his fate inscribed in his cells. He was “never meant to be one step down on the podium” — so when he wins silver instead of gold at the Olympics, he throws himself in front of a car. In a society that promises perfection, the psychological cost of failure is high.

Trump tariffs back on after appeals court slams brakes on trade court’s ban

A federal appeals court put the brakes Thursday on a lower court order that overturned most of President Trump’s sweeping tariffs.

A full 11-judge panel on the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit stayed the order by the Manhattan-based Court of International Trade while a White House appeal is heard.

The Court of International Trade had ruled that Trump exceeded his authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act by imposing a 10% flat duty rate on dozens of countries around the world — as well as 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico and 20% tariffs on China in response to illegal fentanyl trafficking.

Jamie Sarkonak: Books graphically depicting oral sex have no place in elementary schools

That cat is not happy.

There is currently no expectation that Alberta schools refrain from giving kids access to books containing depictions of child molestation and point-of-view oral sex. That is why on Monday, Education Minister Demetrios Nicolaides announced he’d be working over the summer to craft a new policy on age-appropriate content for schools, slated to take effect in September.

A Timeline of Evil: Terror Attacks in Europe in 2024-25

In recent years, not a week has gone by without a jihadist terror attack in some European city being reported in the news. Most of the perpetrators turn out to be failed asylum seekers, highlighting the fact that Western European governments have failed to protect their own citizens by mismanaging the migration crisis that started a decade ago—failing to stop illegal migrants from entering, and failing to deport those who have no right to stay.
