What Most Palestinians Really Want

An overwhelming majority of the Palestinians (87%) believe that the Iran-backed Palestinian terror group Hamas did not commit atrocities against Israeli civilians, including women and children, on October 7, 2023, according to a public opinion poll conducted in early May by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research.

When asked if Hamas had committed the atrocities seen in the videos shown by international media displaying the acts committed by Hamas members against Israelis in their homes on that day, these Palestinians said the group did not commit such atrocities, while only 9% said it did.

Behind the scenes of the feral girls-swarming saga

One of the girls found guilty of manslaughter in the swarming death of Kenneth Lee confessed to participating in the brutal attack in a voice note she left for a friend on an MP3 player that had been provided to her in youth jail.

The recording was first played in court during a bail hearing for that girl and again during a preliminary hearing for all eight of the accused.

The six-minute audio clip, along with many other details in the case, has been under a publication ban pending trials for several of the girls, including some who were set to face a jury.

PAPAL PROJECTION: ABC Wishcasts Trump Resistance Upon Pope Leo XIV

Despite warnings to the contrary, ABC News continues to inject American politics into their coverage of the papacy. The most Trump-averse of the legacy networks continues to wishcast their desire that Pope Leo XIV become an anti-Trump Resistance figure.

The May 11th edition of This Week was to be a special edition broadcast from The Vatican, focusing on the historic papacy of the man formerly known as Cardinal Robert Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, the first pope born in the United States, other than a brief aside to cover potential Russia-Ukraine peace talks. And there was broad coverage of the pope’s early life, and a recap of the broader coverage we’ve seen over the course of the past week.

Canadians want to be able to defend Canada. Our government should provide a way

Canadians are supercharged.

Voter turnout for the federal election was the highest in 30 years. The “Buy Canada” movement is gaining momentum, and the great summer staycation of 2025 is under way. Today, surveys are showing that 90 per cent of Canadians agree our country has a cultural identity worth defending.

With Canadian patriotism alive and kicking, it’s the ideal moment for Canada’s new government to redefine the meaning of national service. That’s why Ottawa should convert our new-found patriotic energy into a national civil defence movement – one that’s able, organized and trained to respond to emergencies.

Berkeley Finally Learns the Truth About the Homeless Crisis… Almost

“It has reached the point now where it is an actual humanitarian crisis,” Greg Gurnick, a Berkeley property owner, told the San Francisco Chronicle this week. He’s talking about Ohlone Park, where tents, needles, and human waste now crowd out the dog walkers. The crisis is real — but it isn’t just in the tents. It’s in the nonprofits and agencies that are supposed to help.

Derek Finkle: Controversial drug injection sites among Carney’s first challenges

When Mark Carney was asked on the campaign trail about whether federal approval for injection sites would continue under his government, he avoided the contentious topic by saying the effectiveness of those sites was under review.

Even in his evasion, our new prime minister was undermining the position staked out by his predecessor, Justin Trudeau. When asked about such controversial initiatives as injection sites and the distribution of so-called “safer supply” opioids to those with severe addictions, the latter was fond of insisting his government was simply “following the science.”

The 71-year-old was detained for eight hours, interrogated and ultimately issued with a caution after officers visited his home on November 2 2023.

Carney lies about immigration cuts by undercounting so called “temporary migrants”

Carney’s aim to cut immigration marred by undercounting of temporary migrants, economists warn

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s aim to reduce immigration to “sustainable levels” will be achievable only on paper unless changes are brought in to ensure that Canada doesn’t continue to undercount the number of non-permanent residents living here, economists warn.

Mr. Carney, at his first press conference after the election, pledged to cap the total number of temporary workers and international students at less than 5 per cent of Canada’s population by the end of 2027.

Profits threatened by pending Trump drug plan say Ferengi

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump’s plan to change the pricing model for some medications is already facing fierce criticism from the pharmaceutical industry before he’s even signed the executive order set for Monday that, if implemented, could lower the cost of some drugs.

Trump has promised that his plan — which is likely to tie the price of medications covered by Medicare and administered in a doctor’s office to the lowest price paid by other countries — will significantly lower drug costs.

I do not trust the word of a corporate class that advocates for open borders and mass immigration.

Canadian telecom firms blame immigration policies for mobile subscriber slowdown plead for open borders intake of unvetted migrants because after all they have your best interests at heart

For years, Canada’s top telecom providers rode a wave of high immigration, collectively adding hundreds of thousands of new mobile phone subscribers most quarters. Those days are over.

Vicious idiots run Canada

Canada’s three biggest wireless firms — BCE Inc., Rogers Communications Inc. and Telus Corp. — all cited tighter immigration rules when explaining to investors over the past two quarters why subscriber growth has slowed. The trio recorded fewer than 54,000 net new mobile subscribers in the first quarter, the lowest number in four years.

Believe nothing from corporate Canada or the Liberal gov’t on immigration.

Along the Canada border, small-town America feels sting of Trump’s trade war

At the end of a waitressing shift, Kristina Lampert used to separate her tips in two piles: Canadian cash and American.

But it’s been weeks since she has done that.

Freighters, the restaurant where she works, is one of the first places people can grab a bite after crossing the US-Canada border between Sarnia, Ontario, and Port Huron, Michigan.

The Blue Water Bridge, which connects the US and Canada, is in full view from the restaurant’s windows.
