MANDEL: Who’s watching man once on terrorism peace bond?

We sure hope someone is still keeping an eye on Daniel Khoshnood.

The 33-year-old has just returned to Toronto from a three-year stint in a British Columbia jail on charges he threatened to harm his parole officer. He was arrested in June 2022, right after his 10-month terrorism peace bond had expired.

So, That’s Why We Know So Little About Trump’s Assassin

The observation was well-warranted: We know more about Luigi Mangione, the alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO killer, than we do about Thomas Matthew Crooks, who tried to assassinate President Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, last July. Crooks was shot and killed during the attempt, but not after a slew of security breaches and all-around ineptitude from the Secret Service was exposed.

Trump calls Freeland ‘a whack’ and Poilievre ‘not a MAGA guy’ as tariff threat looms

U.S. President Donald Trump is weighing in on domestic Canadian politics as his deadline to impose steep tariffs on Canada inches closer.

Trump also remarked on Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, saying that “his biggest problem is he’s not a MAGA guy.”

The Twitter response is fierce.

Trump to Zelenskyy: ‘You’re gambling with WWIII’

U.S. President Donald Trump met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday after calling his Ukrainian counterpart a “dictator without elections” last week — and the two had a heated exchange at a photo opportunity after.

Zelenskyy told Trump that promises of peace from Vladimir Putin can’t be trusted, noting the Russian leader’s history of broken promises. Trump said Putin hasn’t broken agreements with him.

Trump said Zelenskyy isn’t acting “at all grateful” for the aid given to Ukraine from the United States for the war with Russia.

At one point, Trump, raising his voice, said to Zelenskyy, “you’re not really in a good position right now.”

“You’re gambling with WWIII,” Trump said.

Trump and Vance attack Zelenskyy in remarkable Oval Office exchange

Not an attack, more like putting Zelensky in his place.

Zelensky is gonna regret his assholism. I’m sure Trudeau and Freeland are euphoric.

Here’s a slightly longer version. The comments are a thing to behold. Zelensky burned a lot of bridges.

Allan Gregg: Ontario’s election was another disastrous showing for progressive parties. Time for a rethink

Within political circles it is now pretty much taken as a given that you cannot win an Ontario (or for that matter, federal) election without capturing a significant portion of the population’s blue-collar workers and new Canadians, living in the suburbs. Historically, both constituencies were reliably in the camp of either the Liberal or New Democratic Party. No more, as last night’s results in the Ontario election bear out.

Jews who support the Palestinian death cult pose the greatest danger to the Jewish people

Noa Argamani, the Israeli hostage who was rescued from Gaza by the Israel Defence Forces last June, addressed the UN Security Council this week. She spoke about being abducted into a “world of torture and humiliation,” where she tried to comfort two small girls who had been dragged with her into the darkness of the Hamas tunnels and where she saw her fellow hostage, Itai Svirsky, brutally murdered.

Her boyfriend, Avinatan Or, who was dragged into the Gaza Strip with her, remains in captivity. Of the 63 remaining hostages, 36 are believed to be dead.

Solingen knife attack: Muslim suspect charged with murder

German prosecutors on Thursday charged the suspect behind a fatal knife attack at a local festival in the western German city of Solingen.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Issa Al H., was charged with three counts of murder, 10 counts of attempted murder and membership in the “Islamic State” (IS) terror group.

The Solingen knife attack and a series of similar incidents shook Germany and fueled the heated political debate about migration and deportation in the months leading up to last week’s federal election.

It will take 30 years to deport the 500 Thousand illegal aliens currently resident in Canada

Deportations from Canada up 11 per cent in 2024, with half a million more awaiting removal

There are about half a million foreign nationals in Canada waiting for removal, including almost 30,000 who are wanted by officials as well as some 21,000 who can’t be removed.

The Canada Border Services Agency said it had 485,359 people in its removal inventory as of Dec. 31, including 120,273 in Ontario and 197,029 in Quebec. About 123,000 were not assigned to any region.

Last year it also reported 16,860 enforced removals, an 11 per cent increase from 2023, reaching the highest level since 2019, when 11,276 people were removed from the country, according to the latest removal statistics released by the border agency on Tuesday.

500,000/16860 = 29.65 years

Bear in mind that the real number of illegals may be significantly higher than the number the gov’t is providing for public consumption.

It’s best policy to treat every utterance by the Trudeau government and Canada’s bureaucrats as a lie – Has Canada actually undercounted its population by a million?

And how many new “illegals” arrive each year? The Liberal Party needs to be outlawed and it’s leaders jailed.

‘I’ve lost 4,500 sheep to thieves on Dartmoor’

Is that Doggo on the take? Or is this Allah’s will?

“It’s beginning to feel like the Wild West up here when it comes to sheep crime – it’s soul-destroying,” says farmer Colin Abel, scanning his flock high up on west Dartmoor farmland.

This winter – like most years – Mr Abel is missing more than 400 ewes.

He says in the last decade he has lost nearly £500,000 worth of livestock to sheep rustling, which is pushing some farmers to the brink of quitting or bringing their flocks off the moors.

Ottawa must end disastrous energy policies to keep pace with U.S.

During Monday night’s Liberal leadership debate, there was a lot of talk about President Donald Trump. But whatever your views on Trump, one thing is certain — he’s revitalized his country’s energy sector. Through executive orders, Trump instructed agency heads to identify “actions that impose an undue burden on the identification, development or use of domestic energy source” and “exercise any lawful emergency authorities available” to facilitate energy production and transportation. In other words, let’s become an energy superpower.

Trump: We’ll end Ukraine war and strike ‘quick’ trade deal with the UK

President Trump has offered Sir Keir Starmer a trade deal that could exempt the UK from being hit with American tariffs as he hailed the “wonderful” relationship between the two nations.

The US president and Starmer announced that talks on a “new economic deal” were under way and Trump said that they could happen “very quickly” during a joint press conference in the White House.

Trump also talked up the prospect of an end to the war in Ukraine, saying: “I think we’ll have two deals. I think we’ll have a deal on ending the war and I think we’re going to end up with a great trade deal with you.”

Trump cancels oil deal in major blow to Venezuela

US President Donald Trump says he will revoke a license which allowed Venezuela to export some of its oil to the US despite sanctions.

The move is a major blow to the Venezuelan government as the license provided it, through joint ventures between the state-run oil company and US oil giant Chevron, with a crucial income in dollars.

Trump said he was revoking the licence – which gave Chevron permission to operate in Venezuela – because the government of Nicolás Maduro had failed to meet “electoral conditions” and had not transported “violent criminals” deported from the US at a quick enough pace.

‘QUEER THE SYSTEM’: Inside the 1,110% increase in Liberals’ queer refugee program

The number of applicants applying to Canada’s “LGBTQI+ refugees resettlement program” is up 1,100% year-over-year, with more than $50 million of taxpayers’ cash doled out to a single charity so far.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberals in February 2025 updated the program first rolled out by Stephen Harper’s Conservatives in 2011. Since then, the Canadian government has partnered with more than 60 organizations and brought in more than 330 gay refugees.
