Transgender troops will be removed from U.S. military, Pentagon says

Openly transgender service members will be disqualified from serving in the U.S. military and will soon be removed from the ranks, according to a Pentagon memo that marks a significant shift from previous Defense Department policy that prohibited discrimination based on gender identity.

The memo was made public Wednesday as part of a lawsuit filed by LGBTQ+ rights groups against an executive order signed last month by President Donald Trump, which stated that the “medical, surgical, and mental health constraints on individuals with gender dysphoria” were “inconsistent” with the high standards expected of U.S. troops.

Sarah Jama loses seat after she was ejected from Ontario NDP over anti-Israel views

Checks all boxes, Black, female, disabled, hates Jews

For Sarah Jama, the incumbent independent MPP for Hamilton Centre, the night was over within minutes.

The onetime NDP member, expelled from caucus for airbrushing the October 7 atrocities, came a distant fourth, with less than 5,000 votes, by the time the seat was called for the NDP’s Robin Lennox, an assistant clinical professor of family medicine at nearby McMaster University.

Too toxic for the NDP?

How Doug Ford and his PCs won their 3rd straight Ontario election

Doug Ford and his Progressive Conservatives’ victory in Thursday’s Ontario election came as the result of a campaign that focused ruthlessly on the one issue capturing the minds of Canadians right now, a leader who worked relentlessly to make the most of his opportunity, and perfect political timing.

Ford’s PCs were elected or leading in 80 of Ontario’s 124 seats early Tuesday, making him the first leader since the 1950s to win three consecutive majorities in this province

Success in politics means winning elections, so the majority three-peat means the name Doug Ford must now be included with the likes of Bill Davis, Leslie Frost, James Whitney and Oliver Mowat in conversations about the most successful Ontario premiers of all time.

Doug Ford wins third majority after gambling on winter election

Doug Ford’s $189-million gamble on an early Ontario election has paid off with a historic trifecta.

Ford defied the odds Thursday becoming the first premier to win three consecutive majority governments at Queen’s Park since Leslie Frost in 1959.

But the Progressive Conservative three-peat was tarnished by a record-tying low voter turnout of about 44 per cent — echoing the June 2022 results — and the fact he failed to win the larger mandate he had sought.

Well we were right about low voter turn out. Of course the Star is doing its best to make it look like a massive Ford Fail.

Mexico extradites 29 drug suspects to U.S. as Trump threatens sanctions

MEXICO CITY — Mexico extradited 29 alleged drug traffickers to the United States on Thursday, including Rafael Caro Quintero, a prized target long sought in the killing of a U.S. narcotics agent, and two leaders of the hyper-violent Zetas cartel, in a dramatic gesture apparently aimed at heading off crushing economic sanctions, according to U.S. officials.

President Donald Trump has threatened to impose 25 percent tariffs on Mexico on Tuesday for what he calls its failure to stop drugs — including fentanyl — from crossing the border. A high-level Mexican delegation met Thursday with senior Trump administration officials to hammer out a deal to avoid the economic penalties.

“Twenty-nine, that’s huge! What they’ve done is literally cleaned out the cupboard,” said John Feeley, a former U.S. diplomat who served as deputy chief of mission in Mexico from 2009 to 2012. Normally, he said, extraditions of major capos were handled one by one, often involving long negotiations. But Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum was “pulling out all the stops” to avoid the tariffs, he said.

Even After LA Mayor Terminated Top Fire Lesbian, City Still Places DEI Above Competence

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass fired Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley — one of the city’s “top fire lesbians” who pushed DEI across the department — Feb. 21, citing “public safety” and blaming her for the disastrous response to the massive Palisades and Eaton fires that consumed parts of the city last month.

But the city’s priorities are still misplaced, according to documents a whistleblower provided to The Federalist. LAFD EMTs are required to take training to meet the requirements for renewing certification, some of which still advances radical gender ideology. And Crowley is still with the department, just in a lower rank. So perhaps Bass’ lip service to “public safety” is less about accountability for the deadly fires, and more about escaping it.

Feeling ‘Slapped Across the Face by Trump,’ Canadians Say They’ll Skip U.S. Trips

In a speech this month, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada, clearly annoyed by import tariffs levied by President Trump and his threats of making Canada “the 51st state,” suggested that Canadians might act individually to respond to the affronts.

“Now is also the time to choose Canada,” Mr. Trudeau said, adding, “It might mean changing your summer vacation plans to stay here in Canada and explore the many national and provincial parks, historical sites and tourist destinations our great country has to offer.”

In the weeks since, it appears that at least some Canadian citizens are taking his directive seriously.

10 Hard Facts About Ukraine and NATO

President Donald Trump is trying to force not only Ukraine and Russia to make peace but also the Europeans to carry their own weight in the defense of their own continent. It’s astonishing how angry the establishment is about this. It’s almost as if they want this meat grinder to continue forever and for America to subsidize the Europeans’ bizarre social pathologies forever. But what can’t go on forever won’t go on forever. Change is coming. We have to start accepting some realities. Childish clichés and moral posturing have no place in foreign policy. When somebody starts answering your arguments by calling you literally Hitler and saying that you suck Putin’s toes, you can be absolutely sure they don’t want to contend with substantive arguments. But they’re going to have to. Trump is serious about ending this war and resetting our relationship with NATO. They aren’t going wait him out or shame him into submission.

The View host apologizes to Elon Musk live on-air for mistakenly claiming he was ‘pro-apartheid’

The View co-host Joy Behar apologized to Elon Musk live on-air after calling him ‘pro-apartheid.’

Behar made the claim during a rant on Thursday’s show against the South African billionaire and his relationship with President Donald Trump.

‘The guy was not born in this country, who was born under apartheid in South Africa,’ she said, later calling Musk a ‘foreigner’ and ‘a foreign agent.’

Carney, Trudeau found to be heavily linked to Beijing, WEF in new expose

Canada-China investigative journalist for The Bureau Sam Cooper has uncovered evidence Liberal leadership candidate Mark Carney is influenced by an “elite network” of foreign entities.

Carney is the frontrunner of the leadership race, and is an apparent sweetheart of the Liberal party, including government-funded state media, the CBC. If he wins the March 9 vote, he will replace Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and waltz into the Prime Minister’s Office — despite never being elected as a politician in any capacity

Who Caused the Counter-Revolution?

Trump’s first month is a shock treatment to decades of spending, open borders, and bureaucratic bloat—restoring what was lost while critics decry the cure more than the disease.

At some point, some president was going to have to stop the unsustainable spending and borrowing.

To have any country left, some president would eventually have had to restore a nonexistent border and stop the influx of 3 million illegal aliens a year.

Some commander-in-chief finally would have to try to stop the theater wars abroad.

But any president who dared to do any of that would be damned for curbing the madness that his predecessors fueled.

And so none did—until now.

PC MAJORITY – Doug Ford’s PC Party wins snap Ontario election, securing third majority

Doug Ford’s Progressive Conservative Party has won the Ontario election, securing a third straight majority win.

“I’ll fight tooth and nail against Donald Trump, I’ll promise you that,” Ford told CP24 before heading to his election night party after the results came in.

“I’m very grateful for the people of Ontario. We’re gonna make sure we protect the people of Ontario – protect their families and protect their jobs.”

A couple of seats remain outstanding and may go PC.

I predict …. aww who cares.

Matthew Lau: Trimming foreign aid would be good Canadian policy

Research suggests even foreign aid that isn’t outright wasted or sent to dictators fails to achieve the development goals held out for it

Consistent with the Conservative party’s “Canada First” message and its criticism of Liberal overspending, in recent days Pierre Poilievre has reiterated his plans to “dramatically cut” foreign aid. Earlier this month, he vowed to reallocate foreign aid money to expand Canada’s military presence in the Arctic. Then at his rally in Ottawa he said, “We must bring home our money by ending wasteful aid to dictators, terrorists and global bureaucracies — like the Asian Infrastructure Bank and UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East).”Consistent with the Conservative party’s “Canada First” message and its criticism of Liberal overspending, in recent days Pierre Poilievre has reiterated his plans to “dramatically cut” foreign aid. What’s in a Poll?

Several polls indicate that the Liberal Party has made a recovery in support in the last two months. The polls suggest differing results, with some showing the Liberals catching up to the Conservatives or in one case even surpassing them, while another shows the Conservatives still maintaining a two-digit lead despite the Liberals gaining more ground since December.

While different methodologies or even formations of questions could account for the wide-ranging results, two major changes have occurred since last year when the Tories held a steady two-digit lead over the Liberals. One is Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Jan. 6 announcement of his intention to resign, and the other is the Jan. 20 inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump, along with his tariff policies and comments about wanting Canada to be part of the United States.
