Zelensky Furious About Minerals-for-Security Deal as Ukraine Prepares To Sign Over Resources to America

Ukraine and America are on the “one-yard line” of a minerals-for-security deal despite Ukraine’s President Zelensky’s furious unleashing last week on Treasury Secretary Bessent about the size of the purported arrangement.

“It looks like we’re getting very close. The deal is being worked on and we’re I think getting very close to getting to an agreement where we get our money back over a period of time,” President Trump said Monday during a White House press briefing with French President Macron.

Everybody Freeze! It’s the Climate Police

We have it on good authority that it sometimes gets quite cold in Canada during wintertime. As our Canadian readers can attest, in such brutal conditions machinery often acts a little funky. Batteries refuse to turn over, hard things become brittle, fluids freeze or gum up, and dimensions of solid materials quite literally contract. Operating an automobile in this environment can be particularly challenging for the passenger and engine alike, as both need to be warmed up before they can be expected to perform within specifications. In particularly harsh conditions, a car might require 15 to 20 minutes of idling before the engine and cabin reach comfortable conditions, and remote car starters have become incredibly popular solutions.

From teen idol to lost soul: The dark descent of Justin Bieber

For a time it seemed that Justin Bieber had managed to put his demons behind him and was enjoying a more stable phase of his life. The former teen idol, now 30, became a father for the first time in August and has been married to Hailey Bieber for seven years. There was even talk of him releasing new music in 2025.

But with the shocking pictures of him looking gaunt and haggard this week, along with cryptic Instagram messages and a recent altercation with a paparazzi, it feels as if someone has turned the clock back to a decade ago. Back to a time when the then 20-year-old pop star was acting increasingly erratically, was arrested for driving under the influence and spent a night in jail.

Diddy? Or Diddy not?

Justin Trudeau trolled by Donald Trump as he and other world leaders show support for Ukraine

OTTAWA—As Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and other world leaders presented a show of unity with Ukraine on the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, U.S. President Donald Trump doubled down on his intent to work with Russia to end the gruelling war and “recoup” U.S. aid funnelled into the war effort by laying claim to Ukraine’s critical mineral wealth.

Trudeau was in Kyiv Monday, where he spoke at the International Summit on the Support of Ukraine and chaired a meeting of G7 leaders.

Lame-Brained NPR Can’t Identify Any ‘Extremism’ on the Leftist Side

We at NewsBusters have often explained that “public” broadcasters like NPR pay reporters to be “Extremism” correspondents, but strangely, the ideological spectrum seems to go from the “far right” extreme to some sort of center-left. They cannot seem to acknowledge with the slightest fraction of honesty that there is any identifiable or newsworthy extremism on the Left.

One new Exhibit A comes from NPR’s “Public Editor” Kelly McBride. In a February 20 article on “News Literacy,” she attempted to explain how the taxpayer-funded radio network deploys their correspondents on the “extremism” beat.

Sounds like CBC.

Liberal leadership candidates to face off in first of 2 debates Monday

Candidates vying to be the next leader of the federal Liberals and Canada’s prime minister will square off in a French-language debate in Montreal tonight.

Four contenders cleared their final financial hurdle last week and will be on the ballot to replace the outgoing leader, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

I don’t want to hear their BS in English let alone French.

MSNBC Panel Feels Like a Funeral After Analyst Tells Hard Truth About Trump

MSNBC’s legal analyst Danny Cevallos nearly brought a panel to tears when he pushed back against the headlines suggesting that President Trump is suffering devastating courtroom defeats over his executive orders.

“Over the weekend, I read all these headlines and the headlines were like, Trump suffers legal blows,” Cevallos said. “Another one was, Trump hit with unexpected loss.”

The most telling indicator that the Liberals remain doomed

Despite a spate of new polls showing the Liberals as contenders in the next federal election, the party continues to flunk one of the more reliable Ottawa indicators of looming defeat: Their MPs are all leaving.

As of press time, 35 of the Liberals’ 153 MPs have announced their intention not to run for re-election.

That’s nearly a quarter of the caucus who have already thrown in the towel on their parliamentary career — and the list includes many of the most influential names of the Trudeau government.

Green-Scam Profiteer Mark Carney’s Firm Brookfield Buys Brit Net Zero Assets

Mark Carney’s investment company has bought National Grid’s renewables business as the former Bank of England governor runs for political high office.

The Canadian asset manager Brookfield, which is chaired by Mr Carney, is expected to complete the $1.7bn (£1.3bn) takeover of the National Grid operation by the end of September.

The deal comes as Mr Carney, who last year raised $10bn for the group’s eco-friendly investment fund, battles to succeed Justin Trudeau as the leader of Canada’s Liberal Party in a contest on March 9.

I do not want this Green-Scam profiteer as PM.

The AfD aren’t ‘far-Right’, and they aren’t going away

A downcast mood hung over Germany ahead of the snap elections. The week before 83 per cent of voters admitted in a survey to having a pessimistic outlook on the situation the country is in. But turnouts were remarkably high: 84 per cent of voters went out to cast their vote, up from 36.5 per cent in 2021. One thing all voters can agree on is the desperate need for change.

The CDU, the centre-Right party of Germany, has been given another chance at power. At 28.5 per cent, the party has won back some voters, compared to the 24.1 per cent they got in 2021 after 16 years under Chancellor Merkel. However, that is still underperforming when you consider how hated the prior left-wing coalition government was.

Friedrich Merz, who is poised to become Germany’s next chancellor, has warned Nato could be finished and Europe must prepare to build an alliance “independent” from the US.

In stark comments, Mr Merz, 69, leader of the centre-Right Christian Democratic Union (CDU), suggested the continent may have to “quickly” establish an “independent European defence capability”.

After exit-polls predicted Mr Merz would win the election, Donald Trump hailed the result as a “great day for Germany and for the United States of America”.

Sending all 5 Canadian troops to Ukraine ‘on the table’ under possible peace deal: Trudeau

Justin Trudeau plays “statesman”

KYIV – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is not ruling out sending Canadian troops to Ukraine as part of a possible peace deal.

Trudeau is in Kyiv with a dozen other world leaders to mark the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

He began the day announcing that Canada will provide $5 billion in aid to Ukraine using funds from seized Russian assets.

An interesting history of NATO’s eastern expansion dating back to Clinton.

Crime Cartel activity in Canada grew to become very prevalent during Trudeau era

That look when you rat on your ex boss.

Cartel activity in Canada ‘very prevalent now,’ former Trudeau advisor says

Organized crime cartel activity is “very prevalent now” compared to at least a decade ago, says a former national security advisor to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and listing those groups as terrorist organizations may help prevent a “national crisis.”

Jody Thomas says the government’s move to list seven transnational criminal organizations, including multiple drug cartels, as terrorist entities under the Criminal Code will give law enforcement more tools to go after cartel-affiliated criminal groups in Canada — particularly their finances — that will be “enormously helpful.”

Most USAID staff laid off or placed on leave by Trump administration

The Trump administration has placed most United States Agency for International Development (USAID) employees back on administrative leave from midnight on Sunday and laid off hundreds more.

In addition to some 4,200 staff who are being placed on leave, at least 1,600 employees are being fired.

The move comes weeks after President Donald Trump’s initial attempt to eliminate thousands of USAID employees was held up by a legal challenge.
