Jack Mintz: Will the real Liberal party please stand up?

“I don’t get it.” This phrase comes to mind as I listen to senior Liberal politicians proposing to reverse a decade’s worth of Justin Trudeau’s policies that they willingly pushed while in power. Now they’re signing on to new oil pipelines, internal trade reforms and reversal of carbon and capital gains taxes. When you peel off the onion’s skin, however, you realize it’s still a stinky onion.

LILLEY: Liberals claiming foreign interference on Ruby Dhalla laughable

Wait, the Trudeau Liberals are suddenly concerned about foreign interference?

That’s what they want you to think after they kicked Ruby Dhalla out of their leadership race, but it’s not believable.

As the Liberal Party broke the news, first leaking it to CBC before telling the public or the candidate, they made sure to include concerns about Dhalla and foreign interference.

Donald Trump keeps talking about Canada as the 51st state. Why isn’t King Charles saying something?

On this side of the world’s longest undefended border, U.S. President Donald Trump’s repeated comments about Canada becoming the 51st state have led to outright rejections of the idea as a “non-starter,” spontaneous bursts of national pride and dogged determination to “buy Canadian.”

The comments have also prompted a question from some, who wonder about the role of Canada’s head of state as Trump repeatedly casts his eyes and rhetoric northward:

Why hasn’t King Charles said anything about all this?

Charlie can’t even look after his own people, he’s happily insulated and by all indications unconcerned about the Islamist shithole England has become.

Military now accepting recruits with asthma, ADHD and other conditions amid staffing shortage

As the Canadian Armed Forces continue to try and dig out of a deep recruitment hole, they’re starting to give new recruits with medical conditions a shot at joining the military rather than automatically turning them away.

Maj.-Gen. Scott Malcolm, the military’s surgeon general, says the forces will now consider applicants with “any and all conditions” for enrolment, including ADHD, anxiety and asthma.

“With all medical conditions there’s a spectrum,” said Malcolm. “So those that are on the lower end to medium spectrum are unlikely to have any challenges getting in.”

Donald Trump’s first month as U.S. president was planned political disruption not chaos

It only looks like chaos.

In just a month in office, Donald Trump has sown disorder if not bedlam at home and worldwide by promulgating a dizzying number of executive orders, attacking long-time United States allies, imperiling many of the globe’s principal trade patterns, throwing tens of thousands of government workers out of work, ending long-time foreign-aid programs, questioning established notions of American civic life – and more.

MSNBC cancels Joy Reid’s lefty show as network makes major shakeup

MSNBC liberal mainstay Joy Reid’s show has been canceled as part of a major overhaul by the network’s new president Rebecca Kutler, according to a report.

The 7 p.m. program hosted by Trump critic Reid, 56, will be replaced by a new panel show featuring co-hosts Alicia Menendez, Michael Steele, and Symone Sanders Townsend, the New York Times reported, citing insiders.

Pity as she was a reliable loon.

BOBBY ORR: The Great One is a great Canadian who deserves our respect not criticism

The recent Four Nations Face-Off in hockey was, by any standard, an unbelievable success for the game of hockey.

Article content
The exposure it produced for our great game is a credit to all those individuals involved in its creation and implementation. Hats off to all the players who were so committed to their respective homelands and the game of hockey in general.

These were not mere exhibition games – these were games with great meaning. Congratulations one and all.

The people making a show of their patriotism for the most part are the same ones who shit all over Canada for the last ten years by supporting Trudeau and his useful idiot Singh.

No loyalty oaths here, no pseudo-patriots welcome.

List weekly accomplishments or resign, Musk tells US federal workers

US government workers received an email on Saturday afternoon asking them to list their accomplishments from the past week or resign – the latest development in the Trump administration’s efforts to scale back the federal workforce.

The email came after Trump’s billionaire confidante Elon Musk posted on X that employees would “shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week”.

“Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation,” he wrote.
