Democrats Have Trump Fever, and There Is No Cure

Think of the Trump administration as a virulent but benevolent virus that has infected the monstrous, bloated, Vindmanesque blob that is the United States government. The beauty of it is that Trump, predominantly through DOGE but also through his other appointees and staffers, is using the state against itself much like a virus does. A virus will find a vulnerable cell, inject itself into it, and use the machinery of the cell to replicate itself. It turns the host cell against the organism. And that’s what Trump is doing as he infects and, hopefully, kills the hateful administrative state.

Trump administration ‘prolific users’ of disinformation says biggest liar ever to be Prime Minister

TORONTO — U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration is employing disinformation to further its goals, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told business leaders in a closed-door meeting Friday, according to leaked audio obtained by The Logic. Trudeau also said that protecting democracy doesn’t seem to be a top priority for the new U.S. administration.

The current U.S. administration are “prolific users of the tools of misinformation and disinformation for political purposes,” Trudeau said during a question and answer session at the Canada-U.S. Economic Summit in Toronto, noting “all the tech bros were sitting in the front row of the inauguration.”

Protecting Democracy? That’s rich coming from Tinpot Trudeau.

Donald Trump sparked a movement toward economic nationalism. Where will Canadians take it?

Charlie Angus was driving down Northern Ontario’s Highway 11 and his signal kept dropping. But he was still on a roll.

The New Democratic MP was on CNN the night before comparing U.S. President Donald Trump to “Al Capone in his syphilitic period.” He’d been on social media urging Canadians to boycott U.S. products. The response was emphatic.

I will not buy in to a Liberal-Left pseudo-patriotism that is about deflecting from the Trudeau regime’s destruction of Canada.

Inside the East Coast’s Largest Open-Air Drug Market

Kensington, Philadelphia, has been called many things over the years. The Walmart of Heroin. The Las Vegas of Drugs. “How do you know the toothbrush was invented in Kensington?” one longtime Philadelphia drug user joked. “Because anywhere else, they would have called it the teethbrush.”

The East Coast’s largest open-air drug market (according to the Drug Enforcement Administration), Kensington has long symbolized the dysfunction of a city that once served as America’s capital. Shots of Kensington’s “zombies” make for local news fodder and X outrage. The city’s failure to fix Kensington was central to the successful mayoral campaign of Cherelle Parker, a tough-on-crime Democrat, sworn in as Philadelphia’s 100th mayor in January 2024.

Most Americans Support DOGE and ‘Energetic’ Trump

Democrat antics and media mendacity aside, a clear majority favor paring down government.

During his bid to reclaim the White House, President Trump pledged to pare down the federal government and said Elon Musk would play a role in that effort. The Democrats evidently expected this project to go the way of the ineffectual Simpson-Bowles and Grace Commissions. Consequently, they were less than pleased when Trump rebranded the United States Digital Service (USDS) as the United States DOGE Service and promptly sicced it on the bureaucratic leviathan. The public differs with the Democrats, however. According to Newsweek, a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll found that “61 percent of U.S. adults support Trump’s plan to downsize the federal government.”

Christopher Dummitt: The push Canada needs to achieve true independence

Although it’s not considered polite to say it, Canada has never really been an independent country. Not quite.

A reading of a new book on Canada’s military history tells us this without meaning to. David Borys’s “Punching Above Our Weight” offers a comprehensive account of Canada’s military entanglements from Confederation to Afghanistan, and beyond.

China Tests Trump’s Resolve

The “Tariff Wars” have begun.

China’s State Council Tariff Commission released a list of 72 items that would fall under the 10% tariffs. Much of that list was related to agriculture, including several types of tractors, harvesters and other large pieces of farming equipment.

The list of U.S. imports that will be subject to 15% tariffs was far shorter, listing just eight types of coal and natural gas.

They welcomed Canada’s open arms. Now Ukrainians worry about future as Russian invasion’s 3rd-year mark nears

Nearly three years since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, some Ukrainians in southwestern Ontario say they’re feeling uneasy about the future and whether they’ll be able to remain in Canada as the war continues.

Close to 300,000 Ukrainians arrived in Canada after Feb. 24, 2022. Ottawa offered them temporary resident status through the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program, until March 31.

Zelensky Will Enter Peace Talks on Condition U.S. Agrees Total Support

Ukraine will enter into peace talks with President Putin as long as the U.S. and Europe give “more security guarantees” not to “abandon” the country in future, its President says.

President Volodymyr Zelensky told an interviewer he would agree to sit down to “any form of discussion” with Russia as long as his international partners first guaranteed their long-term support to deter future Russian aggression. This would be essential to prevent the Ukraine war simply becoming a frozen conflict that Russia could re-start when convenient to Moscow in the future, as it had been between 2014-2022, he said.

Boeing Boeing Gone …

Heads Are Going to Explode When DOGE Cancels This Boondoggle

Boeing Vice President David Dutcher warned workers on the company’s Space Launch System (SLS) to prepare for layoffs on Friday if NASA finally cancels the rocket providing lift for the Artemis lunar program. The political fallout could make heads explode.

Eric Burger has the details on Dutcher’s emergency all-hands meeting, but they aren’t all that interesting. What is interesting is what happens when and if a team led by SpaceX founder Elon Musk tries to cancel a multibillion-dollar project led by Boeing.

Elon Musk says FEMA sent $59M last week to luxury NYC hotels to house illegal migrants: ‘Violated the law’

Elon Musk claimed early Monday that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) sent a staggering $59 million “LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants.”

The world’s richest man claimed in an early morning post on X that the funneled emergency funds were “just discovered” by his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) — even as President Trump called for a complete overhaul of FEMA that could even see it shuttered.
