Germany’s Right Surges as Voters Back Tough Migration Stance

Talking tough on migration has reaped its reward in Germany: both the centre-right CDU/CSU alliance and the right-wing Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party have risen in the polls following their support for a non-binding motion that aims to turn back migrants at the border.

According to a survey commissioned by public broadcaster ARD, both parties gained one percentage point compared to a previous poll. The CDU/CSU alliance now stands at 31%, making it the frontrunner for the elections on February 23rd. The AfD is on 21% in second place.

‘RUTHLESS’: Trudeau says he can do what he wants on his way out of the PMO

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaking at a Black History Month reception in Ottawa this week bragged he can be “ruthless” about doing as he pleases in his last days in office.

Trudeau on January 6 announced his “intention to resign” as prime minister. However, he refused to call an election to let Canadians decide their next leader.

What All Americans Can Learn from Ellen DeGeneres’s Disastrous Escape to Europe

When Donald Trump secured his second term as president, several wealthy liberals threatened to leave the country. Most were bluffing. Ellen DeGeneres wasn’t.

Once the queen of daytime television, Ellen packed her bags and moved to the English countryside with her wife Portia De Rossi. Seeking refuge from the political climate, the couple soon discovered that the grass isn’t always greener. Sometimes, it’s entirely scorched.

Their £15 million ($18 million) Cotswolds estate has sparked outrage among locals, with accusations that renovations are creating a flood risk and disturbing ancient Roman ruins. It’s an ironic twist — fleeing the hostility of America, only to face a different kind of hostility abroad.

‘Canada First rally’ expected to be major rebranding of Conservative campaign, say senior Tories

The Conservative Party’s upcoming rally in Ottawa is expected to serve as a major rebranding effort, shifting the focus from “Axe the Tax” to “Canada First,” and is anticipated to act as an unofficial launch of the next election campaign, say some senior Conservatives.

“This is the launch of a different branding that we’re going towards,” a top Conservative told The Hill Times. “It’s a different campaign. It is a major shift. We’ve been testing new messaging because the problem with the carbon tax election is that it may not be relevant in a couple of weeks.”

Canadians pick Mark Carney over Pierre Poilievre, Chrystia Freeland and Karina Gould to negotiate with Donald Trump: Nanos survey

Liberal leadership candidate Mark Carney would do the best job at negotiating with U.S. President Donald Trump, over Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, and fellow leadership candidates Chrystia Freeland and Karina Gould, according to new polling from Nanos Research conducted for CTV News.

When asked “Which of the following politicians would do the best job at negotiating with U.S. president Donald Trump?”, two out of five, or 40 per cent of respondents, answered Mark Carney.

This is the result of the media propagated wave of TDS patriotism the LPC ordered.

The current state of UAP disclosure

Just when it seemed genuine progress was being made it turns out everyone is a grifter or is accused of being a grifter.

Every last one of the most prominent names in the UAP universe knows someone who knows someone whose cousin knows someone etc. but can’t disclose because (insert reason here) but they all have a book or movie or podcast to sell.

I do not begrudge anyone who makes a living out of UAP’s for all I know they act in good faith though frankly I can no longer tell for certain.

People are frustrated after years of rug pulls. The egg fiasco was humiliating, an insult to people of good faith.

Like many others I have concluded that the topic of UFO’s has been monetized to the point of clickbait desperation.

The recent NJ drones flap seems more a government test of public gullibility than anything else but they could have saved some money just by reading Twitter/X.

The exception are the pilots associated with the Navy videos. Everything else is just inconclusive bad cell phone film.

If the government does operate a disinformation campaign to squelch disclosure and ridicule its proponents then they could do no better than this.

I don’t like West at all as in my view he is a bad faith actor but this Bledsoe guy is whacked yet he has his fans.

Weasel NATO members lead by Germany considering war against USA should Trump attempt to seize Greenland

Nato countries discuss sending troops to Greenland after Trump threats

Nato countries have discussed deploying troops to Greenland in response to Donald Trump threatening to use the US military to seize the Danish island.

Germany was among dozens of European allies understood to have held informal talks over “what Nato troops would do” if the US president followed through on his threats, diplomatic sources told The Telegraph.

Questions were even raised over whether Article 5, the Western military alliance’s mutual defence clause, could be invoked in the event of an American invasion of a fellow Nato member state.

Do you think China is going to fill the void & resuscitate all those transgender indoctrination programs USAID no longer funds?

What does the demise of USAID mean for Canada and Western allies?

The shuttering of the U.S. government’s marquee foreign aid agency — USAID — could have an enormous impact on Western allies and their ability to influence developing nations, a series of experts have warned.

It could also create a void that China would want to fill — the kind the Trump administration has been complaining about, most recently in Panama where the government had been poised to sign on to Beijing’s signature infrastructure campaign, known as the Belt and Road Initiative.

Over the last two weeks, dozens of senior USAID officials have been put on leave, thousands of contractors have been laid off and a freeze imposed on billions of dollars in humanitarian assistance to other countries.

Canada’s foreign aid is little different than USAID programs. At their heart they are make work welfare programs for the middle class.

China’s Spies Move to Cuba

Forget Europe or the hotspots of East Asia and the Middle East, Marco Rubio’s first foreign trip as secretary of state took him to one Caribbean and four Central American states. The tour tells us that the Trump foreign policy is focusing on the region closest to the American homeland.

That is bad news for the leftists and hardline regimes in the Western Hemisphere, especially the Republic of Cuba and its new patron, the People’s Republic of China. The Chinese military is firmly embedded in a country not far from Key West, Florida.

Freeland targeted by ‘malicious’ WeChat campaign with alleged ties to China: Threat task force

Chrystia Freeland’s Liberal leadership campaign has been targeted by “co-ordinated and malicious activity” traced back to a WeChat account accused of having ties to the Chinese government, according to the task force set up to monitor foreign election interference.

According to the Security and Intelligence Threats to Elections Task Force (SITE), which is made up of senior intelligence and security officials, the activity was traced to WeChat’s “most popular news account — an anonymous blog that has been previously linked by experts at the China Digital Times to the People’s Republic of China.”

My bet is Trudeau and Carney ordered this up.
