Canada’s Anti-Money Laundering Agency Isn’t Serious About Real Estate

Canada’s newfound reputation as a money laundering hub hasn’t motivated much action. FINTRAC, Canada’s anti-money laundering watchdog, announced only administrative monetary penalties for real estate firms in 2024. All of the firms were located in Toronto and Vancouver, and appear to be entirely over minor compliance issues. Considering the agency took up to 3 years to fine real estate firms over minor filing infractions, the agency doesn’t seem to be motivated to actually crack down.

Pentagon Scraps Biden-Era Policy Subsidizing Travel Expenses For Employee Abortions

In a major win for America’s unborn, the Trump Defense Department officially revoked a Biden-era policy that authorized the use of taxpayer money to subsidize agency employees’ abortion-related travel expenses.

In a memo issued Wednesday, Defense Travel Management Office Deputy Director Sarah Moore notified the Pentagon’s Military Advisory Panel that the Biden administration’s policy of effectively using public funds to reimburse service members who traveled to states with pro-abortion laws to terminate their pregnancy is no longer in effect. The directive — which took effect Tuesday — was issued in compliance with President Trump’s executive order reaffirming the Hyde Amendment and “similar laws that prevent Federal funding of elective abortion.”

J.D. Vance mocks ‘110 IQ’ Rory Stewart

Oh dear. In his never-ending desire to appear clever, it seems that Rory Stewart has slipped up again. You might have thought that after his poor predictions of a Kamala Harris landslide, the former Tory MP might be taking a break from super-forecasting and philosophising. But no, undaunted by past humiliations, ‘Florence of Belgravia’ seems unable to break his addiction to social media, weighing in on each and every matter on both sides of the pond. Today it’s an interview which J.D. Vance did with Fox News in which he declared that:

There’s this old school – and I think it’s a very Christian concept by the way – that you love your family and then you love your neighbour, and then you love your community, and then you love your fellow citizens in your own country, and then after that, you can focus and prioritise the rest of the world. A lot of the far left has completely inverted that.

The Death of Diversity Kitsch

This post is headed by a mugshot of Axel Rudakubana, the young man who stabbed three little girls to death, and injured many more, in Southport last year at a summer holiday Taylor Swift-themed dance club.

It is an extraordinary portrait. Rudakubana’s eyes somehow manage to convey sorrow, hatred, wickedness and fear all at the same time – with a viscerality that is almost physical. There are some people (there are two or three I can think of who I have encountered in my own lifetime) whose malice seems to emanate from them in a cold miasma – whose very presence in a room refrigerates it. That is the sensation that one gets when looking at this photograph. But at the same time one can see suffering and pain in the face it depicts, too; it does not excuse Rudakubana’s actions for one second to observe that his own evil has traumatised him. He is said to have told police in the aftermath of his stabbing spree that he was happy he had done it and that the girls were dead, but he doesn’t look at all happy; in fact he looks as though he is already in a personal hell.

Catholic Organizations and Open Borders

Last week Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington received backlash when she injected politics into her sermon during a prayer meeting with President Trump, Vice President Vance, and their respective families in attendance.

The bishop urged President Trump to be merciful towards gay, lesbian, and transgender children and illegal aliens. Many were outraged by her casual mention of transgender children as if their condition was a natural phenomenon.

A Day in the Life of a Christian – Under Pakistan’s Blasphemy Laws

Muslims burn churches in Pakistan

When, exactly, will the protests in the West begin?

In Pakistan, blasphemy laws carry a death sentence. These notorious statutes are often used abusively for settling personal scores, making personal gains or for satisfying grudges that one neighbor may have against another.

The country’s blasphemy laws are also used to target minority groups, and Christians are disproportionately affected. Indeed, roughly a quarter of all blasphemy accusations target Christians. Business rivals accuse Christian men of blasphemy as a means of destroying their business and reputation.

South Africa has abandoned civilisation

The ANC’s policy of trapping and starving ‘illegal’ miners betrays a contempt for human life.

‘Their breath grew shallow, their bodies still. They didn’t die with any great commotion, just a quiet surrender, as if their bodies had finally given up. The hollow, lifeless look in their eyes was a constant reminder of what awaited the rest of us. It was not an illness that killed them. It was starvation. A cruel, drawn-out death that consumed them piece by piece.’

These harrowing words are not from a witness to the conflict in Gaza. Nor are they an account of the Nazi death camps during the Holocaust. No, they are from an affidavit to the South African Constitutional Court by a miner called Clement Moeletsi. Moeletsi was one of hundreds of black miners who were trapped by police in abandoned shafts at Buffelsfontein Gold Mine for two months. Earlier this month, he was rescued by members of the Stilfontein community. Then, he was arrested for mining illegally.

Trump strips millions from DEI foreign aid programs funding Irish musicals, LGBTQ programs in Serbia and more

Donald Trump’s order freezing foreign aid has sealed the spigot of U.S. taxpayer dollars flowing to DEI projects abroad, saving U.S. money from being ‘lit on fire,’ a top Republican says.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast (R-Fla.) has revealed exclusively to DailyMail.com some suspicious federal expenditures that the State Department approved under Joe Biden.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) programs, meant to expand diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) objectives abroad, are now effectively killed under Trump’s foreign aid freeze.

Toutes pour une: Using Tax Money To Turn a Beloved Classic Into a Woke Flop

Replacing the three musketeers with African immigrant women did not convince French cinema audiences.

Progressive culture is woefully lacking in imagination. When it comes to making people dream and telling stories, nothing beats recycling the great classics. This is the spirit in which Toutes pour une (All for one, in the feminine), a remake of Alexandre Dumas’ masterpiece The Three Musketeers, was shot. Dumas may recently have been transformed into a precursor of wokeism, but he remains a little too patriarchal: his works contain men, far too many men.

Flesh-eating bacteria is on the rise in Canada and ‘scaring the living daylights’ out of ER doctors

Rapidly spreading, harrowing and potentially lethal, a necrotizing soft tissue infection — so-called flesh-eating disease — “scares the living daylights” out of doctors, as several shared on a Canadian Medical Association Journal podcast that dropped this week.

The infections are often caused by invasive group A streptococcus, a bacterium that is increasing in Canada and globally, for reasons that remain unclear.

No doubt due to our xenophobia.

Trump’s Latest Order to Federal Workers Will Surely Trigger Libs

President Donald J. Trump issued a new directive to federal workers, which shows the man is serious about reducing the federal workforce by that 10 percent figure. He ordered federal workers to nix their pronoun games from their emails. No more of this he/she/ze/they nonsense. Trump already caused an uproar among this coddled workforce when he ordered them back to office work. He offered them a lofty severance package of 7-9 months pay if they wished to quit, though they must decide next week.
