The Democrats’ Epic Fury Over Iran Strikes

They invoke the Constitution against Trump — even as history and their own record tell a different story.

It was hardly necessary to consult Nostradamus to predict that the Democrats, who profess to abhor oppressive authoritarian theocracies, would denounce President Trump’s decision to topple the government of Iran — the very definition of such a regime. Nor was it a surprise that they downplay or simply ignore the obvious elation with which the Iranians themselves greeted the long overdue demise of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. It is striking, however, that the Democrats fail to see that their reflexive attacks on Trump for taking action against such a dangerous regime and indifference to the response of the Iranian people reinforces the public perception that their party is weak and out of touch.

Anita Anand dodges questions about UN secretary general’s criticism of Iran attack

Canada’s armed forces are ready for emergency pronoun deployment under battlefield conditions.

NEW DELHI — Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand is refusing to say whether Canada believes the American and Israeli strikes on Iran that sparked an escalated conflict in the Middle East are consistent with international law, after her government declared support for the action to prevent the Islamic theocracy from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Speaking to reporters instead of Prime Minister Mark Carney on Monday — the prime minister cancelled the only news conference of a four-day trip to India — Anand repeatedly refused to say whether she agrees with the head of the United Nations, who condemned the U.S. and Israeli attacks that killed Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran’s Top 20 Attacks On The West

Since the Iran Hostage Crisis of 1979 — when Democrat President Jimmy Carter capitulated to terrorism — no one has possessed the cojones to challenge Iran’s Islamic Death Cultists. Until now.

Palestinians: Still Committed to Aligning with Enemies of the West

Shortly after airstrikes on Iran began on February 28, several Palestinian groups, including Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), issued strong condemnations of Israel and the US and voiced support for the Iranian regime. They also called on Arabs and Muslims to stand united against Israel and the US.

Palestinian support for the Iranian regime did not come as a surprise. For decades, the Iranian regime had provided significant financial and military support to both Hamas and PIJ. This backing is a cornerstone of Iran’s “Axis of Resistance” strategy, which aims to project regional influence to counter Israeli and US interests in the Middle East.

What Most People Have Missed About US Use of Low-Cost Drones in Iran

Low-Cost Unmanned Combat Attack System (LUCAS) 35K each

A lot has happened in the past few days, and with so much news to digest, it’s hard to separate out the wheat, the meat, the chaff, and the offal.

The meat of this metaphor is calorie-dense information that is also mostly of immediate interest. This target was struck, that leader was killed, and this country has stepped in to join us. It’s all very important, but ultimately only relevant to how this particular conflict plays out. Once the dust settles, the overall strategic situation is the only thing that matters, not when some target or another was struck.

Rapey Islam scholar Tariq Ramadan goes on trial in Paris accused of sexual assault of three women

Tariq Ramadan – Rapey Muslim

The prominent Swiss academic and Islam scholar Tariq Ramadan will go trial in Paris on Monday on charges of raping three women in France between 2009 and 2016.

Ramadan, who advised previous British governments on Islam and society, denies all the charges in a case that has been seen as one of the biggest repercussions of the #MeToo movement in France.

Ramadan, 63, was a professor of contemporary Islamic studies at the University of Oxford before taking a leave of absence in 2017 when rape allegations were first made against him. He took early retirement from Oxford in June 2021.

BURTON: A G7 nation that can’t staff its own military? Canada’s military recruitment crisis signals deeper trouble

In recent months, the discussion that Canada may look abroad to supplement the ranks of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) has stirred unease. Canada has long prided itself on a citizen military — professional, volunteer-based, and rooted in a shared civic identity. Any significant move to recruit non-citizens at scale would represent more than a staffing adjustment. It would be a strategic signal with political, social, and reputational consequences.

Putin willing to accept US security guarantees, says Ukraine

Russia has said it would accept proposals for Ukraine’s postwar security guarantees, according to President Zelensky’s chief of staff.

Kyrylo Budanov said in an interview aired on Ukrainian television: “At the last talks, the Russian side said, for example, that they would accept the security guarantees offered to Ukraine by the United States.”

The agreement has not yet been confirmed by the Kremlin, but it could signal the biggest breakthrough in ceasefire negotiations since the start of the full-scale invasion four years ago.

Deadline day: $20B submarine showdown puts Korean and German bids in spotlight

Canada’s seemingly breakneck effort to replace its aging submarine fleet hits an important milestone on Monday with the deadline for both the South Korean and German shipyards to submit their formal proposals in the more than $20-billion program.

The federal plan to buy as many as 12 submarines for the Royal Canadian Navy has evolved rapidly over the last year into one of the most consequential procurement battles in a generation.
