Anthony Furey: Here’s the Problem With Gender Ideology in the Classroom

Last fall, the Toronto District School Board sent out an alarming survey that students were expected to complete. It was described as a census, but the questions it included went beyond the scope of what most people would consider a typical census.

The document became controversial and was temporarily shelved by the TDSB. A National Post headline covering the controversy described it as a “race-based student census,” which was a reasonable phrase to use because there were many questions focused on race.

Project Veritas was never going to outlast James O’Keefe

In the tempestuous landscape of American political journalism, few organisations stirred up as much controversy as Project Veritas. Founded in 2010 by James O’Keefe, the group rose to prominence for its undercover investigations, notably the 2009 video recordings involving ACORN workers which were edited to imply they were giving advice on how to engage in criminal activities.

‘Very messy’: India-Canada row over Sikh killing causes diplomatic shock waves

Experts say if India was behind Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s death it would signal radical change in its foreign intelligence methods

The sun was setting on a June evening as Hardeep Singh Nijjar walked across the car park of the gurdwara. Nijjar’s day job was as a plumber but this gurdwara, located in the city of Surrey, in Canada’s British Columbia province, was where he dedicated most of his energy. That day he had made an impassioned speech about the fight for an independent, safe state for Sikhs.

But as he reached his pickup truck, two heavy-set, masked gunmen lay in wait. Shots rang out across the car park and Nijjar, killed instantly, crumpled to the ground as the suspects fled – first on foot and then in a getaway car.

Thirty days of Pride and lessons on white supremacy: inside Whitehall’s woke training regime

The extent to which radical gender and race ideology is imposed on the Civil Service has been laid bare by a dossier of internal communications leaked to The Telegraph.

Staff in Government departments are being taught about gender ideology, which affirms the idea that people can choose their gender, while those with legally protected gender critical beliefs, who believe that you cannot change your biological sex, say they are bullied into silence.

Poll reveals Canadian trans policies that are out of step with public opinion

Big Tranny – endorsed by Justin Trudeau

As duelling protests took place in Canadian cities over the issue of gender ideology in schools, a new survey from the Angus Reid Institute revealed that most Canadians support a middle ground: They favour equality and accommodation for trans people, but generally don’t believe men can self-identify as women.

Ministers urged to stop UK Islamists forcing Muslim women – including schoolgirls – to wear headscarves as MP says it is ‘grossly insensitive’ while women in Iran and elsewhere fight for freedom to dress how they want

The Government needs to take a stronger stance in preventing the imposition of dress codes on Muslim women, a think tank has said.

A new report by Policy Exchange discusses how Islamist groups have ‘weaponised’ discussions surrounding religious clothing in the UK and beyond, potentially limiting the freedom of choice for Muslim women.

The think tank emphasised how public fear of Islamophobia can lead to conservative groups stifling open debate about religious attire in the UK, even though women in many Islamic countries are protesting against the hijab’s imposition as an oppressive garment.

Can you imagine a similar staement made by a Canadian MP or organization?

Mayor Olivia Chow hopes for ‘big building boom’ in Toronto after Doug Ford’s Greenbelt reversal

With Ontario’s Greenbelt once again off limits to developers, Toronto is ready to welcome denser, taller housing and help solve the affordability crisis that has forced people to flee the city, Mayor Olivia Chow said Friday.

Chow’s comments, after speaking to the Toronto Region Board of Trade, came a day after Premier Doug Ford scrapped a push to pave swaths of protected farmland that had mired his government in scandal over how the sites were selected.

I got a feeling there’s gonna be a spurt of neighborhood destroying shoddy rental towers going up.

RCMP’s most famous outpost, at Roxham Road, will be demolished

It is the RCMP’s most famous outpost, where Canadians and the world have grown used to seeing migrants crossing into the country on foot for protection.

For years, the images of desperate asylum seekers with luggage — and children — in tow walking into Canada and being greeted by uniformed officers have been plastered on front pages of newspapers here and abroad.

The climate scaremongers: Shoddy dams to blame for Libyan floods, not global warming

I SOMETIMES think there is a competition among the MSM to see who can publish the most absurd climate change stories.

Last week Sky News’s Tom Clarke, who calls himself ‘Science and Technology Editor’, claimed that climate change had ‘set the stage’ for the Libyan floods, and that the disaster highlighted the ‘injustice of climate change’ which affects poorer countries most.

Transgender women still running and winning as females six months since ban

Transgender women are being allowed to run – and win – in the female category of races almost six months after they were banned from doing so, a Telegraph Sport investigation has found.

Rules brought in to prevent those who have been through male puberty from competing in women’s athletics are facing a major backlash amid serious concerns about the effectiveness, and enforcement, of them.
