Joe Biden may have shared the wealth of Hunter’s influence-peddling, emails show

President Joe Biden’s role as “the brand” for son Hunter’s lucrative international influence-peddling may have benefited him directly, according to mounting evidence from the first son’s abandoned laptop.

Newly revealed bank records released by the House Oversight Committee show that the president’s family and allies hauled in a staggering $20 million from foreign sources in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and China, some of whom met personally with Biden while he served as vice president.

Jamie Sarkonak: Liberals push Canada toward a net-zero electricity grid — with a stick instead of a carrot

With the announcement of the draft Clean Electricity Regulations on Thursday, Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault has laid a trap at the feet of the federal Conservatives.

Why? Because the Conservatives are best-placed to get rid of these new rules.

The regulations are designed to push Canada toward a net-zero electricity grid — with a stick instead of a carrot. In 2035, they would ban carbon dioxide emissions over a certain level in electricity generation (with some flexibility permitted : carbon capture and storage could be used to mitigate net emissions, and the new standards would be phased in for older plants).

Toronto is facing a crushing housing shortage. Here’s how a new city committee plans to tackle it

The committee, with Coun. Gord Perks as chair and former chair and city planner Coun. Brad Bradford as vice-chair, is tasked with delivering on Chow’s campaign promise of building 25,000 rent-controlled homes over the next eight years.

And while it may be a lofty goal to get shovels in the ground within the next three year’s of Chow’s term, Perks says the city has no choice but to deliver if it wants to get ahead of the housing shortage.

Just what Toronto needs – great swaths of run down crime ridden social housing.

When will these do-gooding rock stars put their money where their mouth is?

THE multi-million-pound record sales of the most successful recording artists are surely an indicator of how much our society has valued their art, thoughts and considerations on all matters. From Peter Gabriel to Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay to Billie Eilish, Western music artists have taken huge financial reward from highlighting what they saw (and still see) as repression, planetary injustice, moral harms and sometimes torture and death for those that society deemed beyond the pale.

In 2022 things apparently got so emotionally charged that many recording artists signed the Global Citizen pledge, calling for increased focus on poverty and climate change.

Former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown had to threaten Biden, who was groping Brown’s wife

Currently, Joe Biden’s creepy, handsy, sniffing behavior is limited to the little children who get too close to him. And this conduct is newsworthy because it’s disgusting, especially when the head of the American state engages in it. However, it’s worth remembering that Biden has been credibly accused of sexual assault and has a decades-long reputation for grabbing grown women. Now, former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown has reminded us that he once had to threaten to “kick the s***” out of Biden when the latter groped Brown’s wife.

Driver Who Protected Family by Driving Through Abortion Mob Found ‘Not Guilty’

At 136,467 people, Cedar Rapids, Iowa probably doesn’t count as a small town. And when a pro-abortion mob gathered to engage in the usual leftist tactic of taking streets hostage to their ideology, they expected to get away with it. And when one man protected his family by driving on, the corrupt prosecution probably expected to successfully lynch him the way fellow leftists had other patriots who stood up for themselves.

Gen Z shouldn’t dismiss marriage so lightly

A TikTok depicting the downsides of wedlock has gone viral

A viral TikTok video doesn’t pull any punches in depicting the so-called negatives of marriage and motherhood for young women.
The video, that has been racking up millions of views, shows a Generation Z woman seeming to accept a marriage proposal before switching to a series of shorts showing the same woman toiling away in domestic drudgery — washing dishes, caring for a newborn baby, and cleaning the house. The clip ends with the woman rejecting the proposal, daunted by the future life of domestic servitude that just flashed before her eyes.

The lockdown mentality is killing nightlife

Young people are retreating from the social sphere.

Britain’s nightlife is in trouble. Since June 2020, more than a third of nightclubs have closed down. There were just 873 nightclubs left in Britain as of June this year. This all follows a steady decline in clubs and pubs since 2000.

The closures have become so routine and predictable that news of another venue biting the dust barely registers anymore. It wasn’t always so. The closure of popular venues once aroused shock and dismay – and for good reason. Every closure means the demise of jobs and the shrinking of our night-out choices.

Inexpensive Add-on Spawns a New Era of Machine Guns

Popular devices known as “switches” are turning ordinary pistols into fully automatic weapons, making them deadlier and a growing threat to bystanders.

Caison Robinson, 14, had just met up with a younger neighbor on their quiet street after finishing his chores when a gunman in a white car rolled up and fired a torrent of bullets in an instant.

“Mom, I’ve been shot!” he recalled crying, as his mother bolted barefoot out of their house in northwest Las Vegas. “I didn’t think I was going to make it, for how much blood was under me,” Caison said.

The Las Vegas police say the shooting in May was carried out with a pistol rigged with a small and illegal device known as a switch. Switches can transform semiautomatic handguns, which typically require a trigger pull for each shot, into fully automatic machine guns that fire dozens of bullets with one tug.
