Do Not Let China Attack America from America

The America ChangLe Association in Manhattan’s Chinatown, which closed down after an FBI raid last year, has just reopened with a grand ceremony celebrating… July 4! This is China’s new form of political warfare, brazen in the extreme.

It is way past time to end the ability of the Chinese regime to conduct political warfare against the United States from American soil. America’s defense begins with closing down the America ChangLe Association.

Ukraine to rely on security guarantees from individual G7 allies until it joins NATO

He didn’t get everything he wanted, but Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was set to leave the NATO summit in Lithuania on Wednesday with fresh guarantees of allied support and weapons to continue the war with Russia.

His government had asked to be admitted to NATO on an expedited basis, much as Finland and Sweden had recently been.

No invitation was presented at the two-day gathering, but NATO delivered the assurance that it was committed to letting Ukraine join — when conditions allowed, meaning at the conclusion of the war. It did remove one condition of membership, a set of political, economic and military goals that members must meet before entry, but importantly, the alliance did not set a timeline for accepting the East European country.

Trudeau’s new regulations will hike costs for low-income families

This summer, thanks to the Trudeau government’s new Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR), Canadians already struggling with the high cost of gasoline, groceries and other essentials will see the cost of living rise even higher.

The CFR, which went into effect July 1, forces fuel producers and importers to gradually reduce the carbon content of the fuels they sell. By 2030, the “carbon intensity” of these fuels, which measures the emissions generated per unit of energy, must be 15% below 2016 levels. If fuel suppliers fail to meet these standards, they must purchase credits, increasing costs that will inevitably be passed on to Canadians who rely on gasoline or diesel.

Colby Cosh: When it comes to Bud Light, the company boycotts you

I’ve been reading up on the Bud Light “boycott,” an event that strikes me as being of momentous significance because as far as I can tell it’s not quite strictly a boycott. Rightly or wrongly, that’s a word I associate with organized efforts led by an identifiable political tendency. If you just do something that makes zillions of your customers quite spontaneously go “Nah,” can you claim to be the victim of a boycott?

Dylan Mulvaney doesn’t ‘feel safe’ in US over Bud Light backlash, travels to South America

Dylan Mulvaney had sought a change of scenery in Peru Monday “to feel safe” as the blowback from her partnership with Bud Light continues to unravel.

The transgender influencer said she no longer felt safe at home in the US after raising ire among critics over becoming a rep for the beer brand in a March Madness contest.

After finally returning to social media in April following a tight-lipped hiatus, Mulvaney is seemingly doing some solo travel around the world to get her mind off things back home.

Bank of Canada raises its interest rate to 5%

The Bank of Canada raised its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points on Wednesday, marking the first time since April 2001 that the figure hit five per cent.

The move was expected by economists after Statistics Canada released its June labour force survey last week, which showed that Canada added 60,000 jobs last month — further contributing to an overheated economy.

Wednesday’s rate hike marks the 10th by the central bank since March 2022. It hit pause on those hikes in January for a few months to determine whether the economy had sufficiently cooled, then resumed its campaign in June.
