The green elites are living in dreamland

Abandoned wind turbines California

Their ‘green industrial revolution’ is simply never going to happen.

Towards the end of last summer, Britain’s energy debate came to be dominated by a new myth – that electricity generated by wind turbines was nine times cheaper than that created by gas-fired power stations. The claim was central to Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer’s New Year’s speech, and he reiterated it at a reception for business leaders on 30 January. Yet now we don’t hear it anymore. Why?

Claims of Foreign Interference in Canada’s Elections ‘Not Based on Facts,’ Says Liberal MP

Inhabits make-believe world full time.

Claims of foreign interference in Canada’s last two federal elections are “speculative” and “not based on facts,” says Liberal MP Ya’ara Saks, who also said the federal Conservatives are spreading misinformation on the matter.

Saks, who represents the constituency of York Centre in Toronto, made the comments during a meeting of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs (PROC) on March 14, as first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter.

Sam Bankman-Fried received $2.2bn from FTX-linked entities, say court filings

Sam Bankman-Fried, a co-founder of FTX, received more than $2bn (£1.7bn) from entities linked to the collapsed cryptocurrency exchange into his personal accounts, according to court filings.

Bankman-Fried and five members of his inner circle transferred a total of $3.2bn into their personal accounts through “payments and loans”, according to US bankruptcy court filings in Delaware made by FTX’s new management.

FTX was once worth as much as $40bn but rapidly collapsed in November after a surge in customer withdrawals as rival exchange Binance reversed a plan to bail out its competitor. FTX admitted it did not have sufficient assets in reserve to meet the sudden increase in customer demand.

If true he may well be the next Madoff.

Two opposition leaders in the House of Commons are dismissing the newly named special rapporteur on foreign election interference as a “family friend” of the prime minister and are continuing to press the government to call a public inquiry.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau named former governor general David Johnston as the special rapporteur on foreign election interference during the last two federal elections.

Rupa Subramanya: The Chinese Communist Party’s Canadian media cronies

In recent weeks, there’s been a great deal of discussion about alleged interference in Canada’s electoral process by the Communist government of China. From what we can gather, from material leaked from CSIS, the Chinese Communist Party allegedly tried to intervene to favour candidates who were sympathetic to their views with illegal donations and to try to help defeat candidates who took a strong position against the Chinese government.

German army’s shoddy kit, tank shortages and poor morale revealed

Germany’s military communications are so poor that soldiers in armoured vehicles are forced to open the hatches or clamber out and shout rather than use the radio, according to a damning report on the wider dysfunctionality in its armed forces.

The commission identified kit shortages, shoddy infrastructure and stifling red tape, ranging from dilapidated barracks with walls propped up by sandbags to 66 accidents caused by a standard-issue parachute that cannot be steered at high speeds or when the wind changes.

When is a crime not a crime?

On Monday, Suella Braverman published draft guidance designed to rein in the police habit of recording a ‘non-crime hate incident’ (NCHI) against a person’s name whenever someone accuses them of doing something politically incorrect. You may think I’m exaggerating, but in 2017 an NCHI was recorded against Amber Rudd, then the home secretary, after an Oxford professor complained about her references to ‘migrant workers’ in a Tory party conference speech. NCHIs can show up on an enhanced criminal record check even though, by definition, the person hasn’t committed a crime.

Girls Are Now Being Banned From Sports for Wanting to Play Against Girls

Liberals won’t let anyone play who doesn’t agree with them.

If a girls’ sports team fielded a boy disguised as a girl, referees once called that cheating.

Now when schools refuse to play girls’ teams fielding male players disguised as females, officials call them bad sports.

The Vermont Principals Association (VPA) anathematized Mid Vermont Christian School for refusing to take the court in a girls’ basketball game against a team that included a male player.

Poland to send four fighter jets to Ukraine ‘in coming days’

Poland will send four Soviet-era Mig fighter jets to Ukraine – becoming the first Nato country to send planes since Russia invaded last year.

Polish President Andrzej Duda said they would be sent in the coming days, with others handed over in the future.

Though a welcome boost to Ukraine’s air defence, the extra jets are not expected to be decisive in the war.

The deputy speaker of Ukraine’s parliament Olena Kondratyuk said she hoped more countries would follow.

Biden Administration’s Delusional Plan to Combat Palestinian Terrorism

Palestinians attend casual get together

The Biden administration believes that the best way to de-escalate tensions between Israel and the Palestinians is by allowing the Palestinian Authority (PA) to recruit more officers to the Palestinian security forces in the West Bank.

According to reports, the Biden Administration officials recently proposed a plan “to provide 5,000 Palestinians with commando training in Jordan” and then deploy them to areas under the control of the PA. The 5,000 officers will bring with them 5,000 rifles to Palestinian cities and towns — where almost every Palestinian already has a weapon.

Joy Reid Claims There’s No Porn In Schools

Crazy Assed Racist Joy Reid

On Wednesday night, for the second time this year, MSNBC’s ReidOut host Joy Reid invited a Republican on her show in order to debate them on the issues or controversies of the day. This time Reid’s latest victim was former Congressman Mike Rogers (R-MI). During the debate that at times got heated, Reid ironically whined about the Republican Party supporting big government and outright lied that “nobody is having porn books at schools.” Each time, Rogers set her straight.
