Nolte: Woke, Pro-Grooming Bob Iger Is Disney‘s Problem, Not the Solution

Everyone who knows nothing about how real life works is all excited about former Disney Chief Bob Iger returning to the captain’s chair.

I’d love to know why.

It was from Bob Iger that freshly-booted CEO Bob Chapek inherited the primary reasons Disney’s stock is tanking. Granted, Chapek didn’t reverse Iger’s mistakes and frequently appeared lost and indecisive. But let’s get real about Disney’s problems.

After realising the incredible voice belonged to a nun, Carrà, who died last year, said: “I couldn’t speak for several minutes.”

Gun control support sags as Biden repeats ban call

Biden constipated

Maybe it’s a sign of how little influence President Joe Biden has, maybe it indicates growing fear of crime, but American support for more gun control has taken a huge hit over the past five months.

On the day after Biden repeated his demand for an “assault weapons” ban following a shooting at a Colorado gay club, Gallup today revealed that support for stricter gun laws has dropped nine-points to what is now a “diminished majority.”

Tory MP Challenges Trudeau’s Claim He Wasn’t Briefed on Chinese Interference in 2019 Election

Conservative deputy leader Melissa Lantsman has challenged Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on his assertion that he wasn’t briefed by security or intelligence officials about China’s alleged funding of 11 candidates during the 2019 federal election.

“Just last week PM Trudeau said he raised the issue with President Xi,” Lantsman wrote in a Twitter post on Nov. 20. “Hard to imagine complaining to the President about something you hadn’t been briefed on?”

Poll: Only 13% of French Think Migrants Represent an ‘Opportunity’ for the Country

A new opinion survey has revealed that just over 1 in 10 French citizens believe that migrants represent an “opportunity” for the country, while nearly 4 in 10 consider migration a “threat” to the nation.

The poll, carried out by the Consumer Science & Analytics (CSA) Institute for French news outlet CNEWS, was published on Thursday, November 17th, and showed that 38% of the French public regard migrants as a “threat,” while 13% see them as an “opportunity,” and 48% believe that they are neither, Valeurs Actuelles reports.

The polling data comes as the arrival of the Ocean Viking, an NGO migrant transport ship to the port of Toulon, has rekindled the heated debate over migration, which like elsewhere in the world remains a highly charged and divisive issue.

Canada’s China Class At Work: Pension Funds Invested In Communist China’s Slave State

Could your pension plan be funding human-rights abuses in China?

At least three federal and six provincial pension funds in Canada are investing in Chinese companies complicit in human rights abuses in Xinjiang, a new report alleges.

Pension funds in a number of western countries have also invested in companies involved in a Chinese government labour-transfer program accused of subjecting the country’s Uyghur minority to forced labour or internment, according to the report by U.K.-based human rights organization Hong Kong Watch, in collaboration with Prof. Laura Murphy at Sheffield Hallam University.

Cold and dark: Kyiv readies for ‘worst winter of our lives’

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — When the power is out, as it so often is, the high-rise apartment overlooking Ukraine’s war-torn capital feels like a deathtrap. No lights, no water, no way to cook food. And the risk of not being able to escape from the 21st floor in time should a Russian missile strike. Even when electricity comes back, it’s never on for long.

“Russian strikes are plunging Ukraine into the Stone Age,” says Anastasia Pyrozhenko. In a recent 24-hour spell, her 26-story high-rise only had power for half an hour. She says the “military living conditions” have driven her and her husband from their apartment.

Univ. of Idaho killer was ‘sloppy,’ left ‘mess’ of evidence, victim’s family says

Toronto police board says renowned gunsmith killed in raid was ‘author of his own misfortune’

The Toronto Police Services Board says the renowned gunsmith who died in a police raid just over a year ago “was the author of his own misfortune” in a recently filed statement of defence.

The statement, filed on Sept. 2, is in response to a $23 million lawsuit filed by Rodger Kotanko’s family, which alleges an “unlawful” raid led to his “wrongful death.”

An officer shot the 70-year-old while executing a search warrant on Nov. 3, 2021 at his gunsmithing workshop in Ontario’s Norfolk County.

Shamima Begum trafficked by ISIS to Syria for sexual exploitation, court hears

Shamima Begum, who left the UK for Syria as a teenager to join the Islamic State group, was a victim of human trafficking for the purposes of sexual exploitation, a court has heard.

Ms Begum travelled to Syria in 2015, with her citizenship stripped on national security grounds in 2019.

Looking back at Canada’s plan to tax the unvaccinated

Back in January of this year, the Canadian province of Quebec announced a plan to impose a tax on the unvaccinated. Officials there claimed that most of the impacts on the healthcare system were being caused by unvaccinated people and that the vaccinated should not be made to shoulder the costs. The following month, after a large outcry from the public, the plan was scrapped. But the government never gave up on the idea entirely. Some are still suggesting that the plan could be retooled and brought up for consideration again.
