Protester tackled by Rams’ Wagner files police report

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (AP) — A protester who ran onto the field during the San Francisco 49ers’ Monday night home game against the Rams has filed a police report after being subdued by Los Angeles linebacker Bobby Wagner.

Santa Clara Police Department Lt. Cuong Phan confirmed to The Associated Press on Wednesday that the department has an active investigation of the incident, which meant he could provide few other details. Wagner reacted with bemusement when asked about the protester’s complaint, which was made Tuesday.

Can Russian Hybrid Warfare Win the Day in Ukraine?

In an unpopular response to the retreat of Russian forces in the Ukraine war, President Vladimir Putin ordered the mobilization of hundreds of thousands of reservists. Putin’s order essentially doubled down on a warfighting strategy characterized by high levels of attrition and widespread damage to Ukrainian forces and infrastructure. Russian strikes, actions, and retaliations have caused over $108 billion in damage to Ukrainian infrastructure and left 3.4 million people homeless. Shortly after issuing the mobilization order, Putin signed four treaties to annex Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine following sham referendums orchestrated at gunpoint to join Russia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that “any attack by Ukraine on the territories incorporated into the Russian Federation would be viewed as an attack on Russia.” In a televised speech, Putin also hinted at his willingness to use nuclear weapons: “We will protect our lands with every means we have at our disposal.” He noted that the United States was the only nation to use nuclear weapons and claimed that the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki “set a precedent.”

This seems a tad optimistic, granted never discount an enemy.

If You Don’t Want To Be Dependent on Saudi Arabia, Drill for Oil

Green virtue signaling is no substitute for an energy industry.

The Europeans decided to embrace green energy at the cost of outsourcing their actual energy needs to Russia and Ukraine. After a war of over 200 days, tens of thousands dead, skyrocketing energy prices, they are slowly realizing that green virtue signaling is no substitute for an energy industry.

The Army of the Woke

The Army fell approximately 15,000 (25%) people short of meeting its recruiting goals this year, and some Pentagon officials focused on the tight job market as the culprit.  Though access to civilian jobs and higher pay is a factor, the truth is broader and ignored at our peril.  Rather than confront the reality of what is occurring in the military and the consequences of these actions, these same officials have decided to make blaming anything but the truth an Olympic-level sport and our nation’s readiness to defeat our adversaries is running in last place.

How Turbo-Wokism broke America

Oligarchs and activists are playing for the same team

American history can best be understood not as a single continuum but as a series of Republics, each arising from the ashes of its predecessor. The First Republic, born of the American Revolution, ended with Andrew Jackson’s Trumpian assault on the genteel elites of his day. Jackson’s Republic in turn collapsed into the fratricidal bloodshed of the Civil War, which gave birth to a Third Republic, ruled by an incredibly wealthy class of Northern-based industrial capitalists, which collapsed in the face of the Great Depression. The Fourth Republic, Franklin Roosevelt’s, was centred around the strong Federal state that won the Second World War, sent men to the moon, and overcame the rival Soviet empire.

Trudeau unveils more Iranian sanctions, stops short of terrorist designation

OTTAWA—The Canadian government will further penalize leaders of Iran’s theocratic regime and its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for human rights abuses, but stopped short of designating the military branch of Iran’s armed forces a terrorist entity.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced new economic and immigration sanctions, more money for enforcement and more targeted individual sanctions. He also said Canada will list the Iranian regime under a provision of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, a move he said will target more than half of the IRGC leadership, by permanently banning “more than 10,000 officers and senior members” from Canada.

Haiti government prepares to ask for ‘specialized armed force’ from abroad

Haiti’s government has authorized the prime minister, Ariel Henry, to ask the international community for a “specialized armed force” to address a crisis caused by a blockade of the country’s main fuel port that has led to crippling shortages, according to a decree circulating on Friday.

Haiti has ground to a halt since a coalition of gangs blocked the Varreux fuel terminal last month. The lack of gas and diesel has crippled transportation and forced businesses and hospitals to halt operations.

It has also led to a shortage of bottled water, just as the country confirmed a new outbreak of cholera, the spread of which is controlled through hygiene and clean water.

The tide of this war has shifted, and the Russians are far less brave

On the banks of the Oskil river, it is clear to Ukraine’s poised troops that the enemy is short of ammunition and struggling to respond

There is a strange ritual to artillery fire.

The most important is the camouflage. When properly wrapped up in foliage, the muzzles of their howitzers look like fungi. Then there are the messages to be written on shells. On Thursday, it was “for Zaporizhia”, where Russian missiles had wreaked carnage in the morning.

A battery commander scribbles calculations on a pad of paper and barks the customary countdown to fire: “Three hundred – thirty – three!”

Poilievre gives Trudeau something he wasn’t expecting, a fight

On Thursday, Justin Trudeau tried to turn the tables on Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre and started asking him questions.

As Pierre Poilievre stood up to ask questions about the increasing cost of a Thanksgiving dinner, Trudeau began asking questions about a Global News story that said Poilievre had been using a misogynist hidden hashtag on his popular YouTube videos.

MP Ahmed Hussen tells Parliament he knew about Laith Marouf contract for a month before speaking out

OTTAWA – Diversity and Inclusion Minister Ahmed Hussen admitted to MPs he was alerted to the antisemitic tweets of a consultant hired by the government for anti-racism training a month before he first spoke out on the issue.

Earlier this year, Hussen’s department gave a $133,000 grant to the Community Media Advocacy Centre (CMAC) to build an anti-racism strategy for the broadcasting sector. On Twitter, Laith Marouf, a senior consultant with CMAC, has referred to “Jewish White Supremacists,” as “loud mouthed bags of human feces.” He also used anti Francophone slurs and called French an “ugly language”

Sure Hussen sure.

CCP Runs Police Outpost in New York City, Part of Global Network of Transnational Repression: Report

Chinese authorities have opened at least one “overseas police service station” in the United States as part of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) global transnational repression, according to human rights group Safeguard Defenders.

“These operations eschew official bilateral police and judicial cooperation and violate the international rule of law, and may violate the territorial integrity in third countries involved in setting up a parallel policing mechanism using illegal methods,” the Spain-based group said in a recent report.

No one wants to be Meghan and Harry’s neighbors

A quiet California community is incensed over the Sussexes moving in

Neighbors make or break home ownership. Getting home from a long day and collapsing onto the couch doesn’t have the same ring to it as when you have John next door blasting loud music. Or Sally tottering over to reprimand you because your dog did the dirty on her lawn.

Residents in Ranch Hope, an exclusive neighborhood in California, are up in arms because they have two A-listers who want to join their community. You’d think that rich celebs would be welcomed, driving up house prices and bringing a certain prestige to the town. But this is Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Fresh from losing their crusade to take over Hollywood, the pair are being driven out before they’ve even hired the moving vans.
