Canada Threatens ‘Boots on the Ice’ In Greenland Days After Inking Shock China Deal.

Carney’s Army

WHAT HAPPENED: Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney pledged to put “boots on the ice” in Greenland in defense of Danish sovereignty in the territory in a speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, Switzerland, where he also urged the world’s “middle powers” to combine against the U.S.

Minn. officials, including Walz and Frey, accused of hindering ICE, served with grand jury subpoenas by FBI

The FBI has served Minnesota officials including Gov. Tim Walz, attorney general Keith Ellison and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey with grand jury subpoenas for allegedly conspiring to hinder ICE operations in the state, according to FOX reports.

The subpoenas are requesting “records and communications” from the officials, according to FOX News, as anti-ICE protests roil the Twin Cities nearly two weeks after Renee Good was shot by an agent after she clipped him with her SUV.

Alberta Separation Petition Drive Got a Bad Case of ‘Holy SMOKES, We Got This Thing in the Bag’

Oh, my GOODNESS! This is some wild news coming out of Canada, and I’m not talking about that loser Carney sucking up to Xi Jinping the Pooh.

A little over a week ago, the first stops on the petition drive for to force a referendum on separating from Canada began.

WAPO: Canada will regret cozying up with China to troll Trump

Canada is cozying up to China. It’s not surprising because of President Donald Trump’s bullying, but it is shortsighted.

Describing a “new world order,” Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney had the gall during a trip to Beijing last week to claim that China is a “more predictable” partner than the United States.

Trump has been a bad neighbor, so maybe Carney is trolling Trump for musing about making Canada the 51st state. After all, he acknowledged last year while campaigning for the premiership that China is the biggest threat to his country’s security. At the same time, the Greenland saber-rattling, which threatens to upend NATO, is deeply unnerving Canada.

Military models Canadian response to hypothetical American invasion … DEI DO OR DIE!

The Canadian Armed Forces have modelled a hypothetical U.S. military invasion of Canada and the country’s potential response, which includes tactics similar to those employed against Russia and later U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan, two senior government officials say.

It is believed to be the first time in a century that the Canadian Armed Forces have created a model of an American assault on this country, a founding member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and a partner with the U.S. in continental air defence.

Does Europe still have an ally in America?

European politicians had little rest this weekend after Donald Trump’s announcement on Saturday that he would be imposing punitive tariffs on the eight countries that had sent troops to Greenland last week. From 1 February, 10 per cent tariffs will be slapped on goods entering the United States from Britain, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Finland. They had, Trump said, ‘journeyed to Greenland for purposes unknown’ and he accused them of playing a ‘very dangerous game’.

Pierre Poilievre will run in a different riding next federal election: party

The Conservative Party of Canada has confirmed that Pierre Poilievre will not run in the Battle River-Crowfoot riding in the next federal election.

The party leader lost his long-held seat in the Ontario riding of Carleton in April’s federal election to Liberal candidate Bruce Fanjoy.

The CPC confirmed on Tuesday that Damien Kurek — who held the Battle River-Crowfoot seat previously — would run in the riding again in the next election.

A little odd.

What’s Really Causing the Minnesota ‘Insurrection’?

Great Walz Of China

Immigration enforcement poses an existential threat to Tim Walz and to Democrats nationwide.

The immigration-related drama in Minnesota took a foreboding turn over the weekend when it was reported that the Pentagon had alerted two battalions of the 11th Airborne Division, based in Alaska, to be prepared for possible deployment. That move followed Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s mobilization of the state’s National Guard — “on standby” — to deal with the escalating violence against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

‘We’re in real trouble’: Carney faces historic crisis amid trade war, U.S. annexation threat, and two potential separatist referendums, say politicos

With the ongoing trade war with the United States, frequent annexation rhetoric from U.S. President Donald Trump, and the potential for two separatist referendums at home, Prime Minister Mark Carney is facing some of the most serious challenges confronted by any prime minister. Still, his performance is receiving mixed reviews from some political players who say Carney’s handling of the situation is a “technocratic” one, driven by officials in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Privy Council Office, when he should be opening up to the country.

“We’re facing a truly existential crisis,” said John English, a historian, author, and former Liberal MP in an interview with The Hill Times. “We have to recognize that we’re in real trouble.”

The European Union’s ‘Woke Stasi Commissars’

Europeans Turned into ‘Second Class’ Citizens

December 15. France. Two men, Jacques Baud and Xavier Moreau, who commented online about the war in Ukraine, discovered that they were among 12 people being sanctioned by the European Union for allegedly spreading propaganda for the Russian government. Some of the 12 people are propagandists, just not them. No evidence so far has proven that they had any ties with either the Russian government or Russian intelligence agencies.

Cory Morgan: Time to Admit the Gun Ban Agenda Won’t Work

The Liberal Party of Canada has long been a political chameleon. It has been able to pragmatically adapt to contemporary issues and position itself toward the political centre of things. When the party drifts too far to one side of the spectrum, as happened under Justin Trudeau, it can reinvent itself and reset the electoral clock, as it did with Mark Carney. It’s an infuriating ability for partisan Conservatives to watch, and it has kept the Liberals as the predominant party in power for decades.

Sunny Hostin Defends Discriminating Against White People, Whoopi Mocks Whites

ABC’s The View celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day by literally laughing at the idea that white people could be discriminated against in any way. While they were laughing at the notion and suggesting it wasn’t real, staunchly racist co-host Sunny Hostin defended the idea of discriminating against whites and claimed that President Trump was trying to “erase” black history. Additionally, moderator Whoopi Goldberg openly mocked the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for caring about discrimination against white people.
