$1 Million In Covid Fines Tossed Out In Major Legal Victory

The Democracy Fund (TDF) has announced that its lawyers have successfully defeated a cumulative $1 million in Covid–related fines faced by 14 different clients.

In a Thursday news release, the law advocacy organization revealed that in the last two weeks $56,000 in fines faced by British Columbians have been defeated and a whopping $950,000 in Ontario has also been thrown out.

Meta And TikTok Can Track Everything You Type On In-App Browsers

Facebook, Instagram and TikTok’s iPhone apps are capable of tracking everything users type in their in-app internet browsers, according to warnings from a security researcher.

All three popular social media apps say they don’t track sensitive user data like credit card information, passwords and addresses that is entered through in-app browsers — but it would be extremely easy for them to do so if they wanted to, researcher and developer Felix Krause wrote this week.

For Democrat Politicians, Crime Pays

Seattle’s leaders have decided this is a perfect time to go even softer on crime. Fatal shootings may be at a record pace, and a lot of officers may have resigned after the city defunded the police but, hey, it’s a perfect time to give dangerous juvenile and adult offenders who steal cars, sell drugs, and take guns to school a chance to stay out of jail. Why? Because the criminal justice system is racist, homophobic, and transphobic, you see. So the city figures it will be better to divert these cases out of the criminal justice system entirely and put them in front of a panel of left-wing activists who will show ‘understanding’ and ‘compassion’ and decide how, if at all, to hold the offenders accountable – kumbaya. I can’t wait for the first time one of those activists gets mugged. We’ll see what they think then.

Same FBI Unit That Raided Mar-A-Lago Pushed Russian Collusion Hoax

In the least shocking news of the day, the same FBI unit that raided Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home also pushed the Russian collusion hoax against the former President. And, there’s more: One the the FBI agents involved in the raid also dismissed Hunter Biden’s laptop as “Russian disinformation.” But yeah, there’s nothing politically-motivated about any of this, right?

Mohammedan sentenced to life in prison for killing 4 Americans

A member of the ISIS terrorist group known as “The Beatles” was sentenced to life in prison Friday for his role in the kidnapping of more than 20 Westerners and the horrific killings of four Americans.

The Islamic fanatic, El Shafee Elsheikh, was convicted in Virginia federal court in April on charges including lethal hostage-taking and conspiracy to commit murder.

The jury concluded Elsheikh — who was born in Sudan and raised in London — conspired to kill four Americans in his role as one of ISIS Beatles.

Sweden reaps the benefits of its no lockdown policy

As the UK debates whether the impacts of lockdown are responsible for more deaths than Covid itself, the wider secondary effects of Covid shutdowns are becoming apparent across the world. One country that is bucking the trend is Sweden, which seems to be reaping the benefits of its non coercive approach.

Two new studies show that, in different ways, Sweden seems to have escaped the most harmful secondary impacts that other countries showed.

Berkeley co-op bans WHITE PEOPLE from common areas to ‘avoid white violence and presence’

An off-campus co-op for students at the University of California, Berkeley named the ‘Person of Color Theme House’ has banned white guests from entering common areas of the house.

A list of house rules revealed that occupants were told ‘many POC moved here to be able to avoid white violence and presence, so respect their decision of avoidance if you bring white guests.’

While the student house aims to have an ‘inclusive’ environment, the rules specifically state ‘white guests are not allowed in common spaces,’ according to the list, which was posted on Reddit.

I think we should segregate in keeping with their wishes.

‘Biden’s Gestapo’? Trump Raid Hurts Voter Trust in FBI

Last week’s raid by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on former President Donald Trump’s home has damaged the FBI’s standing with Republican and independent voters.

A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that 44% of Likely U.S. voters say the FBI raid on Trump’s Florida home made them trust the FBI less, compared to 29% who say it made them trust the bureau more. Twenty-three percent (23%) say the Trump raid did not make much difference in their trust of the FBI.

If I go out my front door in San Luis Potosí and walk in any direction — north, south, east or west — I’ll hit an Oxxo convenience store in five minutes,10 max. According to Google maps, there are 15 Oxxos within a 1.5-kilometer radius of my address. It may be I live in an especially Oxxo-rich corner of the country, but with more than 20,000 of them nationwide, I’m no outlier.

That’s a wrap for CNN host Brian Stelter. The Reliable Sources host who ineptly attempted to play the role of objective media critic — at CNN of all places — was fired on Thursday.

At NewsBusters Stelter was the subject of many a blog because he so often exposed his leftist bias in his copious criticisms of Republicans and news outlets (like Fox News) that refused to carry water for Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Agreement Was Reached for Convoy Protesters to Reposition Vehicles Before Emergencies Act Was Invoked, Negotiator Says

Dean French, who negotiated with leaders of the Freedom Convoy earlier this year, said the Liberal government didn’t give enough time for a peaceful resolution to transpire before invoking the Emergencies Act to have the protesters removed by force, even though an agreement for the convoy to leave was reached.

“This was a black mark on Canadian history. History will show this was a total overreaction … and the inquiry is going to show that as well,” French told CBC’s Vassy Kapelo in an interview on Aug. 17.
