Ukraine and Russia likely to begin face-to-face talks on Tuesday, Kremlin says

Face-to-face peace talks between Ukraine and Russia are likely to start in Turkey on Tuesday, the Kremlin has said, as Kyiv insisted that with Moscow’s invasion largely stalled it was not prepared to make any concessions on its territorial integrity.

The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, agreed on Sunday that ceasefire talks would be held in Istanbul, possibly beginning as early as the following day.

Why did Will Smith hit Chris Rock at the Oscars?

After years of declining viewing figures, the Academy were desperate for more people to watch the 2022 Oscars.

They tried all kinds of ways to boost ratings – big stars, live performances, charismatic hosts, a new category and cutting the craft prizes down to edited highlights.

But in the event, a comedian telling a joke and a Hollywood A-lister’s furious over-reaction to it would ultimately be what seized the world’s attention.

Canada’s “banned” target rifles not a boon for Ukraine

Mackay suggested Justin Trudeau gather up all the “‘military-style assault rifles’ banned by our government in May 2020” and send them to Ukraine. He goes on to suggest a tax credit scheme as incentive for law-abiding Canadian sport and recreational shooters to hand over their legally-owned property, worth thousands of dollars. I’m not going to write about the wrong-headedness and fundamental injustice of this “ban,” which hasn’t actually happened, hasn’t prevented a single shooting, or saved a single life. Instead, I want to focus on the futility of the gesture as an attempt to help Ukraine.

UK: Covid Becoming Chronic, like AIDS, And Will Take Us Down

Before I go further, let me point out again that I am NOT trying to badmouth the splendid United Kingdom. It is a wonderful country with rich culture, incredible people, and OUTSTANDING STATISTICAL AGENCIES. It is the latter that let me show the disaster unfolding there. People of the UK are diverse, and are not biologically very different from people in other countries. What I write about the UK, applies to any other highly vaccinated Western country.

Trudeau needs to halt these harmful carbon tax increases

The price of everything is rising. Canadians are feeling the pressure. For low-income Canadians, things are getting more difficult than ever. Food bank usage, to offer just one example, is sadly on the rise.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is scandalously planning to making this worse. Let us explain.

Biden Out to Destroy the US Financial Markets

The reason Biden needs war is very simple. The world monetary system is collapsing. The negative interest rates in Europe since 2014 have wiped out all the pension funds that needed 8% to break even. This is what is being the Guaranteed Basic Income because the politicians have destroyed the future of pensions. Even in the USA, 100% of social security is invested in US government bonds that pay well below 8% and this has undermined the fund going forward. Biden is following the FDR playbook and since COVID failed to produce the Great Depression they were counting on, they are shifting to PHASE 2 which is war.

The World Sees Justin Trudeau As A Dictator, Are Canadians Next?

A meeting of the European Parliament in Brussels last week reveals what should be seen as a pivotal development in Canadian politics. With Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in attendance, a collective of Parliamentarians ripped into Mr. Trudeau, branding him a Dictator within a democratic country.

Never before has such a circumstance occurred. The magnitude of the event should be understood by all Canadians. The fact that it won’t be is indicative of the nature of the accusation. Within dictatorial societies, media are charged with converting damaging political events into conditions palatable to public ears.

Thus it was that state-funded CBC News branded Trudeau-bashers in Europe as a gang of racists and anti-vaxxers. One MEP called out the prime minister for trampling on “fundamental rights by criminalizing his own citizens as terrorists just because they dare to stand up to his perverted concept of democracy.”

CBC’s ‘Regretful’ Trucker Convoy Protester Story Falls Apart

A story hyped by CBC and CTV about a “regretful” trucker convoy protester is being disputed by those who were on the ground with him in Ottawa and those who have been victims of his previous alleged scams. Published Thursday, the story focuses on Martin Joseph Anglehart, a man claiming to have given away all his life savings to the truckers and he now “regrets” his involvement with the Freedom Convoy.

Documents tabled in the House of Commons reveal that the federal government has given 168 mostly interest-free export loans to China since the 1980s, with final payments not due until 2045.

Disney’s Support for Child Grooming Is a Game Changer

In what will be remembered as one of the greatest betrayals in the world of entertainment, the Walt Disney Co. has not only come out against Florida’s “don’t-groom-little-kids” bill, Disney is agreeing to use its brand and platforms to take up the slack with its own grooming.

Vaccinated More Likely To Die During Omicron Wave If They Got J&J Shot: CDC

The COVID-related death rate among Americans who received Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine was more than double that of people who received other vaccines, new data from the Omicron surge show.

A Manufactured World Crisis

Few people today ask the most important question about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Many people want America to stay out of the fight, but even they don’t ask the vital question. Why does the world face a crisis today? Why has a border dispute between Russia and Ukraine escalated to the point where people fear nuclear war?

The answer is simple. America, under the “leadership” of brain-dead Biden and the forces controlling him, has done this and, by doing so, brought the world to the brink of disaster. As always, the great Dr. Ron Paul gets it right: “Three weeks into this terrible war, the US is not pursuing talks with Russia. As Antiwar.com recently reported, instead of supporting negotiations between Ukraine and Russia that could lead to a ceasefire and an end to the bloodshed, the US government is actually escalating the situation which can only increase the bloodshed.

Why more and more experts say lockdown didn’t prevent people dying of Covid – and call it a ‘monumental mistake on a global scale’

It was ‘a simple instruction’ to the British people, said the Prime Minister: ‘You must stay at home.’

With that sombre televised address, shown on March 23, 2020 – two years ago last week – the country was plunged into its first national lockdown.

After weeks of surging Covid infections, and horrified by the staggering scale of hospitalisations and deaths in Spain and Italy, the Government had concluded there was no option but to issue an unprecedented order to curb the growing pandemic crisis. It was following the science, after all.

“Oh Allah… Destroy the Jews, the Christians, the Hindus, the Russians, and the Shiites!”

The Persecution of Christians, February 2022

Switzerland: Crosses are set to disappear from the nation’s largest cemetery because their sight “disturbs” people from “other religions.” The report is careful not to mention who these people might be.

A separate Feb. 16 report tells of a “controversial” imam, Abu Ramadan, a Libyan, and his sermons. In one, he said before his Swiss mosque congregation,

“Oh, Allah, I ask you to destroy the enemies of our religion, to destroy the Jews, the Christians, the Hindus, the Russians and the Shiites. God, please destroy them all and restore Islam to its ancient glory.”

The imam was accused of inciting racial hatred, but still attends his mosque. He is also “accused of having received 600,000 francs in social assistance in thirteen years … without any effort to integrate,” an official said, “We cannot strike out social assistance for a refugee, even if we condemn his remarks.”

Invasion of the Fact-Checkers

Invasion of the Fact-Checkers

Who are you going to believe, the Democratic Party’s new official-unofficial, public-private monopoly tech platform censorship brigade, or your misinformed, disinformed eyes?

In the past five years, a cadre of fact-checkers has marched through the institutions of journalism and installed itself in the U.S. media as a privatized, quasi-governmental regulatory agency. What’s wrong with facts, you say? Fueled by a panic over misinformation, the fact-checking industry is shifting the media’s primary obligation away from pursuing the truth and toward upholding vague notions of public safety, which it gets to define. In the course of this transformation, journalists are being turned into rent-a-cops whose job is to enforce an official consensus that is treated as a civic good by those who benefit from—and pay for—its protection.

What’s happening to the Marines?

Lately, when we think about what’s happening to America’s military under Biden, we’ve been focusing on the Pentagon’s obsessions with race, LGBTQ+++ issues (especially transgenderism), women’s rights, and political “wrong think” (i.e., conservativism). That obsession has consistently put progressive social policy ahead of military cohesion and readiness. However, Jim Webb, who was a Marine infantry officer while in Vietnam, then the Navy secretary under Ronald Reagan and, lastly, a Virginia senator during the Obama years, has written an op-ed about a different concern: The potentially damaging, purely operational changes Marine commandment Gen. David Berger intends to impose on the Corps.
