Satellite images show Russia still building up forces near Ukraine

Dec 24 (Reuters) – New satellite images captured by a private U.S. company show that Russia has continued to build up its forces in annexed Crimea and near Ukraine in recent weeks while pressing the United States for talks over security guarantees it is seeking.

Reuters could not independently verify the latest images from U.S.-based Maxar Technologies. The Kremlin reiterated on Friday that it reserves the right to move its own forces on Russian territory as it sees fit and that Western countries were carrying out provocative military manoeuvres near its borders.

Review

5.0 out of 5 stars  “Mongol Moon is the book of 2020.” 5.0 out of 5 stars  “If I could give it more stars I would.”5.0 out of 5 stars  “How does WWIII start? A Fun and Exciting Read!”5.0 out of 5 stars  “Refreshing take on the catastrophe genre.”

From the Author

Hello, Readers!  Mongol Moon was a journey for me.  Three years from inception to release!  I brought 20 years of emergency management and war gaming to the table here and wrote the story the way I saw an invasion of the U.S. taking place.  But I wanted more than that.  I wanted the war to be in the background with the characters front and center.  Hopefully, you’ll enjoy it as much as I did writing it.  Thank you for coming along for the ride!  I’m also an avid reader and some of my favorite authors that put things in my head, which I pulled out selectively for this story and twisted them to my own machinations are as follows:  Robert Jordan, Tom Clancy, William Forstchen, Stephen Konkoly, Harry Turtledove, Dan Brown, Jack Carr, Clive Cussler, and Stephen King.

About the Author

Mark Sibley is a corporate crisis manager and war gamer. He’s developed and facilitated over a hundred war games for various organizations over the years and managed as many real-world crises for those organizations. This experience, along with a life-long dream of writing a novel, provided him fertile ground for pulling together all the aspects of this story and developing them into what became Mongol Moon. If you tell a war gamer that a particular bad thing can’t happen, that war gamer will come up with a plausible scenario to prove you wrong…eventually.

He is a life-long Virginian and lives in the Commonwealth with his wife, three kids, and current pack of female terriers, two Boston Terriers, Izzy (the Alpha) and Dobby (the one without a brain), and the ever-ferocious Chewie the Wookie, a five-pound Yorkshire Terrier with one fang. At any given time, there is also a foster dog at the house, rounding out their pack.

You can follow him on Twitter @mnsibley

Mark and I are Twitter friends and I had no idea he was an author, but recently he mentioned that he was donating all December profits from Mongol Moon to Mount Carmel Catholic Church (a few days ago it was about $700). I looked up the book on Amazon and was stunned at the reviews and subject matter – of course I immediately ordered and sent a copy to my brother, but don’t tell him, thanks!

Mainstream Jewish groups need to understand that interfaith dialogue legitimized CAIR

A CAIR leader’s anti-Semitic rant was shocking. Yet despite efforts to shift the narrative, the truth about the group that claims to represent Muslims has long been known.

Perhaps some people were shocked when a leader of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) recently engaged in an epic rant against Jews, their synagogues and their organizations. Zahra Billoo is the executive director of the group’s San Francisco branch and a former leader of the anti-Trump “resistance” Women’s March. But when she told a conference convened by the radical anti-Israel American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) that they should shun mainstream groups like the Anti-Defamation League, Jewish Federations and Hillel, the Jewish establishment reacted angrily.

Putin comments on transgender rights

Russia should import concepts from the rest of the world, such as the best technological and economic ideas, but it should reject the view that men and women are the same thing, Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed.

Speaking to journalists at his annual end-of-year press conference, Putin also said that the West has distorted views on transexual rights, and these issues are making their way to Russia due to the internet.

Sad when tyrants speak more sense than Trudeau.

Biden’s Global Challenges

President Joe Biden’s foreign policy seems unfortunately to consist of abandoning alliesemboldening adversaries, and placing our national security at great risk. Biden’s Afghanistan surrender to the Taliban was a strategic failure with enormous global consequences that humiliated the nation and cost countless lives. Unfortunately, Afghanistan is now the “lens” through which to see the Biden administration’s feeble foreign policy.

Looking ahead, the proposed National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is woefully inadequate in addressing ongoing Chinese aggression — not just towards Taiwan but on all geopolitical fronts.

San Francisco’s woke city leaders blast Mayor London Breed’s plan to clean up crime-ridden Tenderloin because ‘it will flood the streets with cops’

Woke San Francisco leaders have hit out at Mayor London Breed’s planned crackdown on the city’s crime-ridden Tenderloin neighborhood because her idea will flood the area with cops.

San Francisco Supervisor Hillary Ronen and the city’s infamous woke DA Chesa Boudin were among those moaning about Breed’s new plan, which will see people caught abusing drugs on the streets incarcerated if they refuse treatment for their addictions.

‘I believe that we should all be marshaling every resource we have in this city to address that crisis,’ said Supervisor Hillary Ronen.

‘He was either going to be imprisoned, kill someone, or be killed.’ How Daunte Wright led a life of crime & violence before his death and shot a friend in the head, broke into a neighbor’s home, and robbed a woman at gunpoint

Before Daunte Wright was shot and killed by Minnesota police officer Kim Potter, he terrorized his local neighborhood for several years, leaving victims and their families with a lifetime’s worth of trauma and suffering.

Through court records and interviews with the victims, DailyMail.com can exclusively report that Wright had led a life of crime and violence before his death, having been involved in the shooting of two of his school friends, a home burglary, and had previously assaulted and robbed a young woman at gunpoint.

Wright, 20, was shot dead on April 11 after officer Kim Potter reached for her gun instead of her taser during a botched traffic stop in Brooklyn Center.

‘Let’s Go Brandon’: Kid’s Dad Trolls Biden During Santa Tracker Call — And Biden Responds

President Joe Biden spent part of his day Friday taking calls from children about their Christmas wishes on the special line dedicated to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)’s Santa Tracker, and one child’s father reportedly ended their call with the phrase “Let’s go Brandon.”

President Biden, according to CNN White House correspondent Jeremy Diamond, replied, “Let’s go Brandon, I agree.”

He’s clearly not all there.

Covid: Christmas flights cancelled and new curbs amid Omicron spread

Millions of people are facing travel disruption and increased Covid restrictions over Christmas, as the surging Omicron variant sees flights cancelled and safety curbs tightened.

Italy, Spain and Greece have made face masks compulsory outdoors again.

Catalonia, in northern Spain, has imposed an overnight curfew, and the Netherlands is in a strict lockdown.

In the US, daily Omicron cases have risen beyond the peak of the recent Delta wave, and hospitals are filling up across the country.

Thousands of Americans will be forced to spend the holidays alone after airlines cancel nearly 500 flights and delay another 750 on Christmas Eve because of crew shortages due to Omicron surge

This sucks.

Video shows woman armed with a PICKAXE shoplifting at a Rite Aid in crime-ridden Los Angeles

A woman carrying a pickaxe in broad daylight casually walked into a Los Angeles Rite Aid, stole merchandise and threatened store employees and customers, shocking video shows.

The bizarre footage captured the moment the unknown woman dragged a basket full of merchandise across the floor of the Rite Aid, in Venice, California, on Thursday morning.

She seems to be headed for the door, with basket and pickaxe in hand, before stopping by the counter and telling an employee she’ll come back.

It’s the new pioneering spirit!
