“Ido not have any accounting of what the Chinese may have done, and I’m fully in favor of any further investigation of what went on in China. However, I will repeat again: the NIH and NIAID categorically has not funded ‘gain-of-function’ research to be conducted in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.” 

That was Dr Anthony Fauci during a May 2021 congressional hearing. It kicked off a months-long national media effort to frame questions around gain-of-function research and US-taxpayer-funded virus manipulation as a Royal Rumble between Fauci and Senator Rand Paul.

O’Toole attacks Trudeau’s ‘inexperienced’ cabinet as a threat to national unity

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole tore into Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s new cabinet lineup today, saying he’s assembled a group of “largely inexperienced and ideological individuals” that pose a threat to the country’s national unity and post-pandemic economic recovery.

In a statement released as ministers were still being sworn in at Rideau Hall, O’Toole said Trudeau’s cabinet picks are “yet another example” of his “record of style over substance.”

Soros Bankrolls Far-Left Group at Heart of Anti-Semitism Scandal

Soros gives millions to Sunrise Movement which refuses to rally with Jewish organizations

Left-wing billionaire George Soros is bankrolling the political arm of the Sunrise Movement, a far-left group engulfed in an anti-Semitism controversy after its Washington, D.C., chapter said it will no longer hold rallies with Jewish organizations.

As part of his eight-figure cash infusion during the 2020 election cycle Soros’s Democracy PAC gave $250,000 to Sunrise Movement’s political action committee, according to Federal Election Commission filings reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. Sunrise PAC also received $500,000 from the far-left dark money group the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which received $9.6 million from the Soros-run Open Society Policy Center in 2019. Those two donations constituted nearly a third of the $2.35 million Sunrise PAC raised from Jan. 1, 2019, to Dec. 31, 2020.

Marine Corps Warns Marines Will Be Kicked Out for Refusing COVID-19 Vaccine

New guidance from the U.S. Marines has said that Marines who don’t get the COVID-19 vaccine face separation.

A Marine Administrative Message (MARADMIN) was posted to the Marine Corps’ website over the weekend, saying that “Marines refusing the COVID-19 vaccination, absent an approved administrative or medical exemption, religious accommodation, or pending appeal shall be processed for administrative separation [in accordance with] this MARADMIN and supporting references.”

Prince Andrew given deadline to face questions in Virginia Giuffre case

Prince Andrew must make himself available to answer questions under oath by 14 July next year in a civil lawsuit brought by a woman who has accused him of sexually abusing her when she was a teenager.

While not specified in the court papers, the Duke of York and his accuser, Virginia Giuffre, are both expected to answer questions under oath. Depositions must be completed on or before 14 July, said the district judge Lewis Kaplan, who serves in the southern district of New York.

The Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations will take place in June, potentially setting up a clash with the duke’s legal issues over the summer.

Zuckerberg claims Facebook is victim of ‘coordinated media effort’ to tarnish its image with leaked documents

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg pushed back against the recent slew of bad press about the tech giant, blaming a “coordinated effort” by the media to “paint a false picture” of the company by “selectively [using] leaked documents.”

During Facebook’s third-quarter earnings call on Monday, Zuckerberg told investors that the ongoing spate of reportage based on leaked documents from whistleblower Frances Haugen and others was not “good-faith criticism.” He claimed that the news coverage did not reflect the company’s efforts to curb hate speech and disinformation, noting that Facebook was not the “main driver” of societal polarization.

Black voters in two of America’s most liberal cities sour on calls to ‘defund the police’

Marques Warren got a late-night phone call at his Seattle home last year during racial justice riots and it turned him against the idea of “defund the police.”

The call came from the security alarm company for the liquor store he owns downtown. A break-in was in progress.

Amid the mayhem of protests over the killing of George Floyd, sensors on the store’s plate-glass windows detected the repeated blows of people trying to smash their way in. Mr. Warren quickly answered “yes” when the security company asked if he wanted them to call the police.

Refusing Prevent deradicalistion course should be an offence, says terror expert

A counter-terrorism expert who advised ministers on prison extremism has called for failing to co-operate with the Government’s Prevent deradicalistion programme to be made a criminal offence.

Ian Acheson, a former prison governor who advised the Justice Secretary on controlling extremists behind bars, said the scheme had developed a “parish hall mentality” and become “blunted by layers of bureaucracy”.

He said another flaw was a misplaced attempt to equate the far-Right threat with the much greater danger posed by Islamists — saying “the body count doesn’t lie” — and a similarly flawed focus on “safeguarding” those referred to the scheme.

Chappelle slams cancel culture amid Netflix transgender furore

US comedian Dave Chappelle, whose latest Netflix special sparked a transgender backlash, has hit back at those he says want to “cancel” him.

Chappelle posted on Instagram that he was willing to meet members of the transgender community, amid criticism his comedy show was transphobic.

He also invited viewers to decide whether he had been “cancelled”.

It comes after a small protest last week outside the Netflix headquarters in Los Angeles.
