As China Ramps Up Coal Production, Countries Like Canada Are Crushing Our Own Energy Sectors

The growing consequences of having our country run by people who prioritize feelings over reality.

Canadian propane prices surge 300% — and could climb higher as U.S. markets brace for ‘Armageddon’

While all eyes have been on natural gas, propane prices have been skyrocketing too, thanks in large part to a huge export market for the heating source.

CBC employees given Dec. 1 deadline to get vaccinated

Employees of CBC/Radio Canada have been given a Dec. 1 deadline to get vaccinated against COVID-19, the Crown corporation announced on Thursday, but the potential ramifications for staff who refuse haven’t been finalized.

Biden Forced Americans Into A Game Of Chicken Over Their Livelihoods, And They’re Not Flinching

Nowhere has this intimidation tactic been as clear as with medically coercive vaccine mandates. Near the start of Biden’s tenure, after shots were rolled out quickly thanks to Trump’s efforts, Biden left no doubt about his position: It wasn’t just that vaccines were good, but that everyone who was eligible for a vaccine should get one as soon as possible.

Celebrities Attack Dave Chappelle, Netflix: Comedians On Silencing Free Speech

Let’s get real here. What this is really all about is invoking cancel culture to silence comedian Chappelle because he says the politically incorrect.

Physicians and the Vaccine Tyranny

I find myself in the position that I must use an alias for fear of reprisal. Those days may be quickly coming to an end, as hospitals are denying requests for vaccine exemptions with impunity. I will likely soon be out the door, with nothing to lose. Even if I survive this round, if the “pandemic” continues, it won’t be long before I am shelved like a can of spam.

Sir David Amess murder: Prevent ‘is failing to deradicalise extremists’

The Home Office must take greater responsibility for how deradicalisation programmes are working with potential terrorists, a review will recommend.

The review found that Prevent, the government’s counterextremism strategy, was ineffective in some parts of the UK because certain local authorities were involving Muslim groups that actively opposed the programme in the process of deciding whether individuals need to be deradicalised.

… Separately, a report by the Henry Jackson Society, a think tank, has warned of a “fundamental mismatch” between the threat posed by Islamic extremism and the number of referrals to Prevent.

Despite Islamic extremists making up three quarters of offenders in prison for terror-related offences and the vast majority of suspects on the MI5’s terror watchlist, they represent only 22 per cent of all Prevent referrals and 30 per cent of Channel cases.

Rose McGowan Torches ‘Whiny‘ Transgender Netflix Protestors: ‘Piss Off You Brats. Enough of Your Fake Activism‘

Rose McGowan has torched the transgender Netflix employees who walked off the job Wednesday in protest of comedian Dave Chappelle, calling them “brats” and dismissing their brand of activism as “fake.”

In a scalding series of tweets, Rose McGowan told off the “whiny” protestors and accused Netflix of far more serious offenses than transgender jokes.

Don’t worry: colleges are still insufferably woke post-COVID

Given the recent spate of “fuck Joe Biden” chants at college football games, you’d be forgiven for thinking that a year cooped up out of the classrooms might have had a transformative effect on America’s undergraduates. Perhaps the kids finally realized that wokeness isn’t the answer?

Alas, two recent case studies of campus craziness have arrived to bring Cockburn crashing down to reality.

China: The patriotic ‘ziganwu’ bloggers who attack the West

With her reassuring smile, Chinese blogger Guyanmuchan cuts a friendly figure on Weibo.

The young woman commands a devoted following of 6.4 million fans on China’s Twitter-like platform, where she posts hot takes and videos on current affairs.

But the cute aesthetics of her brand – her page features a dreamy picture of a girl posing in the woods – belie her often acidic tone.

The European Union is “on a dog leash” to America, according to a recent post. Rising Covid rates in the US state of Texas was evidence of “civil war” where “Americans are currently killing one another with biological warfare”, said another.

We’re all TERFs now

Even Margaret Atwood has fallen foul of trans activists.

Canadian author Margaret Atwood enraged the Twittersphere this week by tweeting an article about the erasure of the word ‘woman’.

The article was by Toronto Star columnist Rosie DiManno. DiManno argues that the push for ‘inclusive’ language is confusing and is erasing important biological distinctions. She says that recent battles over language have gone ‘far beyond insistence on neutral pronouns, into an outer orbit of linguistics where both women, as a gender, and “woman” as a noun are being blotted out’.

Rex Murphy: Trudeau claimed the election was the ‘most important’ in decades, but seems in no hurry to get back to work

It was on Aug. 15, 2021, that Canadians were alerted by their leader to a “pivotal moment,” one that was “maybe the most important since 1945, and certainly in our lifetimes.” What were the elements that gave our leader grounds for declaring that out of all the moments we have had since the Second World War — of which there were many — this moment was the “most important”?

‘Simply monstrous’: Putin says teaching young children they can easily swap genders is a ‘borderline crime against humanity’

A growing campaign in the West to do away with gender-based language defies reason and is subverting human nature, Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed, arguing children should not be taught biological sex does not exist.

“The discussion about the rights of men and women has turned into a total phantasmagoria in a number of Western countries,” Putin said in a speech to dignitaries and reporters at the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi, Russia on Thursday. “Those who risk saying that men and women still exist, and that this is a biological fact, are virtually ostracized.”

A military in crisis: Here are the senior leaders embroiled in sexual misconduct cases

It’s a leadership crisis without precedent in the Canadian Armed Forces — a fact that only becomes clear when you take a step back and look at the full depth and scope of the sexual misconduct crisis and survey the wreckage in the top ranks.

Since early February 2021, 11 senior Canadian military leaders — current and former — have been sidelined, investigated or forced into retirement from some of the most powerful and prestigious posts in the defence establishment.

Experts say they can’t think of another military anywhere else in the world that has seen so many senior leaders swept up in scandal at the same time.

I say they ban heterosexuals from the armed forces.

NIH admits US funded gain-of-function in Wuhan — despite Fauci’s denials

It’s another Fauci flub.

The National Institutes of Health has stunningly admitted to funding gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at China’s Wuhan lab — despite Dr. Anthony Fauci repeatedly insisting to Congress that no such thing happened.

This should be a REALLY big deal, guys

You know that Fauci guy? The dude who has definitely not flip-flopped on every medical position over the last 19 months, who has respected freedom over tyranny, and has been the highest-paid government employee for decades?

After it came to light that he personally was involved in the U.S. government grants going to the lab in Wuhan, China to study coronaviruses in bats, he swore in front of Congress that there was no “gain-of-function” research happening there, or research that takes viruses in other animals and tries to adapt them to infect humans.

We are witnessing the perils of a disorderly energy transition

Climate crisis plus energy crisis does not equal a good path to net-zero emissions. Policy wonks at the upcoming COP26 conference in Glasgow later this month will have a tough time with this calculus.

It’s been a while since the phrase energy crisis has been thrown around. When I hear it, I have déjà vu to the 1970s, the late-2000s and other lesser episodes in between. I reflect on societal hardship, ugly politics and uncertain outcomes.

Dog owners face JAIL and £20,000 fine if they put pets on vegetarian diet in breach of the Animal Welfare Act

No he isn’t you cruel jerk.

Dog owners could be jailed and slapped with a £20,000 if they put their pets on a vegetarian diet, charities warn.

People could be breaking the Animal Welfare Act 2006 if they try to stop their animal eating meat, the Blue Cross said.

The legislation says pets must be given a ‘suitable diet’ which paves the way for prosecution if experts deem meatless meals inapt.
